Happy Happy Happy Friday!

#didntwejusthaveaweekend
As always, I’m linking up with Andrea, Erika and Narci and sharing my favorite things from this week.
We have a very chill weekend planned. Lots of swimming, playing and baby snuggling is in our future. I hope you have a great weekend too! Here are my favorite things from this week…
Mission Regan is one of my favorites today!
I’ve told you guys about my friends’ non-profit Mission Regan before. They deliver medical supplies all around the world and are one of the most AMAZING families I know. Well, Courtney (mama of the family) asked if I wanted to share their Lemonade Stand project with you guys in case you wanted a service project to do with your families this year and I was like heck ya! I don’t know about you…but I’m always looking for ways my kiddos can volunteer/give back/help others and this one sounded great. You can read all about their Lemonade Project HERE and how you and your kiddos can help out Mission Regan and all of the great things they do. To read their story (it’s very inspiring) click HERE and if you don’t have kiddos at home (or don’t have kiddos the right age for doing this project) you can make flat donations to Mission Regan HERE.
On a side note, Courtney and her husband Josh adopted a little boy from Uganda a few years before we adopted Ashby, and they were one of the main driving forces behind us when we were making the decision whether to adopt or not. It’s always such a blessing when the Lord uses other people and their story to encourage you along the right path. I am forever grateful for this precious family.
Did you see my pie post last week? Summer pies are a passion of mine and apparently, of yours too! If you need a quick dessert this weekend…look no further than the pie. I have frozen pies, cream pies, hot out of the oven pies…all perfect for summer pies. See them HERE.
Oh how this is a favorite of mine…taking golf lessons with my boy.
So, Smith and I are taking lessons together and it is probably the most humbling thing I’ve ever done. I mean…I’m awful and so the fact that I have to get out there in front of a lot of other people and show off my awfulness in all its glory is delightfully humbling. Sigh. We’re taking lessons just the two of us…but between the instructor (who I know thinks he should be paid more for having to teach me…) and the other people at the golf course that happen to just be around us, I have an audience to show off that the LPGA will not be calling anytime soon. So, how is this a favorite of mine? Because I LOVE spending this time with my sweet son. He is so into this being our thing and I will milk that for as long as he’ll let me. Who cares if I stink? (Which by the way, I do.) If it means that for a few hours a week, my son thinks he’s doing something cool with his mom, I will soak that up. One of these days, it’s going to dawn on him that I’m his handicap, and he’ll probably ask me to take lessons while he’s not around, but for now…we’re in this together and it’s been so much fun!
I told you guys last week that Gap and I are having a moment. And look, I keep wearing the exact same outfit over and over again this week…
These are Gap shorts from last year (or maybe even two years ago) but the belt and tee are current. I just keep wearing this combo…
…add my favorite white jeans and wedges and I have a new outfit altogether. Bam. #onrepeatthisweek
And I know I’ve mentioned my wedges approximately 4 billion times, but they are my favorites! I have been wearing them non-stop since they came out at the end of February. I LOVE them!
I wore them just yesterday…
See? They’re my faves :). (And you can find my top HERE.)
And finally…speaking of faves…I took this pic at the pool this week because there are about 12 of my favorite things in it…
Apple Watch. Love. (Read my review HERE.)
Pink nail polish in Seen on the Scene.
Lancome Juicy Shaker Oil in Berry in Love (Which I love! It smells delicious and puts just a little color on your lips!)
Those are my Friday Favorites friends!
Here’s to all of us having a great weekend! See you Monday :).
xo

Daily reader but first time commenter here. I just want to say how moving it is to hear you raise your children with such a philanthropic and faithful mindset. I know it wasn’t mentioned in this particular post but I wanted to say thank you for always praying for others, especially those that you don’t even know, who are undergoing hard times. My mom went through major surgery yesterday for her pancreatic cancer and I just wanted to make a small request that you and/or your readers keep her in your prayers today as she starts the long road to recovery. God bless.
Sanna says
All good thoughts to your mom for a full recovery!! ❤️

I think I know the humbling feeling you’re talking about-like when you’re at Top Golf talking a big game and you continually keep MISSING the golf ball!!! Hahahaha!
Sheaffer Sims says
You and GAP are totally having a moment! That belt is so cute! And I’m so impressed with you taking golf lessons. I embarrass myself while playing putt putt…and more often that not I miss the ball when taking a big swing at Top Golf.
Lizzie says
Are those wedges really 5″? Are they comfortable after a long period? I love them! And I think that is so sweet you and your son are taking lessons together, I think I may just do that with my son!
Mix and Match Mama says
They are…but because they’re wedges, they don’t feel tall. I run around in them all the time :).
Samantha Sudduth says
Where are your sunglasses from??
Mix and Match Mama says
They’re Ray Bans! From Nordstrom!
Nicole fliegel says
What color are the sunglasses lenses? I love them!!
cassie {hi sugarplum} says
You look adorable in that pink tee!! I’ve been on a roll with Gap lately too…isn’t it funny how retailers bring out the good stuff in waves? Have a great weekend, cutie!
Alexa says
That tee from GAP looks great on you Shay! What color did you purchase…Jelly bean pink or palm spring pink?
Mix and Match Mama says
Palm Springs pink!
Amanda @ Cupcake N Dreams says
I love your description about your golf lessons with Smith! Hopefully he always knows how awesome of a mama he has and never stops wanting to have a strong bond with you! That pool cover-up is fabulous!

What a fun Friday Favorites post, and I just love your style recommendations!!! Can I ask what size you are wearing in the GAP T-shirt and belt? Oh, and, the merging of your two blogs is fab!!!
Mix and Match Mama says

Hi Shay…the comments at Gap are saying the tees are really see through. Are you finding you need to wear a cami underneath and if so do you have a favorite cami that you recommend? Thanks so much and happy Friday!
Mix and Match Mama says
I am not wearing a cami under mine. I bought it in navy and green for our cruise and recently in pink and have not worn camis under any of those colors.
Leigh Clark says

Smith’s dimple is THE.CUTEST! Thanks for sharing all of your stories and sweet treats!
Stephanie Krosnosky says
I love starting my day with Shay! Thank you for all of your great recommendations and perspectives! I wanted to share another non-profit started by dear friends of mine: restoreelikia.org. Their story is both heartbreaking (an adoption effort that failed-yet is succeeding in a way only God could allow) and uplifting.
Renee Hester says
With all these tank shirts you wear during the summer. Can you recommend what type of bra you wear underneath so the straps don’t always so. Would appreciate it.
Julie says
Shay,
I love your blog and read it everyday! Just wondering….why do you link up with 3 other gals but they do not link up with you on their blogs? 🙁
Mix and Match Mama says
It’s their linky party! The three of them “host” it each week and invite others to link up. They have a lot of people participate and I’m just one of them!
Kelly says
Learning how to golf with Smith is my favorite! My children are MUCH older than yours (34, 32, 29, 24, 15, 15) so believe me when I say that these are the things memories are made of. You and Andrew do such a great job of making memories with your children. You will never regret the time and effort (and humility:) it takes. God bless you, Shay!

I just got caught up on the last 20 posts or so and wanted to say how much I love the new site design! It looks great and is so easy to read. I love following along with all of your adventures 🙂
