Friday Favorites


Whoa!  It’s been a BIG week at the Shull’s house and there is just so much to celebrate and be thankful for.  Yesterday, our littlest nugget turned THREE…

…and then on Tuesday, we welcomed the newest member of our family…

…Frenchie Macaroon.

So, clearly, we have a full plate and a full heart right now 🙂 .

Just like every Friday, today, I’m linking up with three of my besties, Andrea, Erika and Narci and sharing my favorite things from this week.  Happy Friday!!!

Well, getting Frenchie was definitely a favorite from this week!!  Here are a few pics from our first few days…

This was right when Andrew got home with her.  Kensington had been waiting in the front yard for 45 minutes for him to pull up.

Ashby dropped her Barbies to hold the dog.  That’s when you know she’s excited 😉 .

Whew!  So, it’s hard to follow Frenchie this week…but, this made my heart so happy…

…BAM.

Look how good my Wellies shined up!

So, if you own a pair of Hunter boots, then you know that they can get cloudy when they’re sitting in your closet.  I would say that the darker the boot, the cloudier they get (my red ones don’t tend to get cloudy but my darker ones do).  So, I pulled out my Wellies to take to K-State and Andrew said he would spray Armor All on them and look!!  In like 30 seconds, it cleaned one right up!!  Easy as that!!  I’ve tried a lot of tricks to clean them over the years, but his Armor All trick was the fastest and easiest.  #heissosmart #andhandsome 🙂

If you have a pair, try this.  I was really proud of how quickly they cleaned up!!

I noticed that they are opening a new store in my mom’s town the other day, and I pressed my face against the glass to see what it was.  The stuff going on inside intrigued me, so I went online later and looked it up.  And you know what?  It is an apparel shop for women that has some really cute stuff!  I even ordered me this sweater and pair of pants…

Cute, right?  Maybe you all know about Evereve, but it was a first for me.  Now that I’ve ordered online, I’m going to be really pumped to actually visit the store when it opens.  They really do have some cute stuff!

The pants have really cute zipper detailing on them, so I tried to get a good pic for you.  Later that afternoon, I took this one in my kitchen so you could see better…

…so cute, right?  And they were comfy too!!!

I ordered my normal sizes and everything shipped quickly to me.  Easy as that 🙂 .  My necklace is Stella & Dot and those booties are from the Anniversary Sale and are currently 40% off but the sizes are really limited.

This top is most definitely one of my favorites this week!  I’ve told you guys before that my friend Jenny owns an online boutique called Gray Monroe and this top came from there.  I actually bought several cute tops on there the other day because she has a lot of fall stuff that is really cute (and priced really well too!).  I think her stuff runs true to size, and she ships quickly too.  Cute fall tops are always a favorite in October 🙂 .

    There’s an Evereve at Willow Bend mall and they have a little play area and snacks for kids to keep them occupied while you shop!

        I used to work there when the store was actually called Hot Mama! It wasn’t maternity, but just a store for moms with wider aisles and snacks and play area for kids! And the stylists really help find your best look and fit! They started in Edina, Minnesota ? they changed the name because it was kind of confusing, but I miss the name Hot Mama!

          Wider aisles and play areas are genius (or TVs and tiny couches)…more stores should create fun places to entertain the kids while we shop. Mud Pie in Frisco does it perfectly!

        Evereve is headquartered here in Minneapolis. They’ve been growing across the country recently. It is by far my favorite place to shop. They’ve always got new and unique things in store that are on trend. I’m excited to see some of the stuff I love on your blog in the future!!

    I’ve never been to Evereve – but that sweater is super cute and now I’m going to check it out! What a great idea for a Pumpkin carving menu. When do you usually carve yours? I’m always afraid I’ll do it too early and they’ll all cave in way before Halloween.

    Yes Evereve is SO good!! And I can’t believe the Armor All!! My shiny red ones are the worst! I tried olive oil but they definitely didn’t clean up as nicely as yours!!

    If you like Evereve’s products, then you should try Trendsend! It’s their version of Stitch Fix but there’s no styling fee and they give you more options. I’m not even a mom and I love their clothes! I’ve had a lot of Trendsend success!

    I’ve heard the Armor All trick for Hunters but I’ve never tried it – so happy you took before and after photos! I’m totally doing it! And mine are opposite – my green ones always look fine but my red Hunters are forever cloudy!!

    Ugg slippers look so cozy! Random Question – this fall weather has me wanting to read my first Hygge book! I am planning on getting The Little Book of Hygge that you read. Now, my random question is, do I just get the $1.99 Ebook or get the actual hardcover as it may be a Hygge like thing to have this be a book sitting out on my coffee table?! 😉

    Love Evereve! They are a Minnesota based company, which is where I am from. They also have a styling service called Trendsend. So much better than Stitch Fix, LeTote or others I have tried. Plus no styling fee! You should check it out!

    I am going to chime with all the other proud Minnesotans! We love our Evereve and glad you have found your way to a location near you. I am SURE you will be back. Their kind and comfortable costumer service, atmosphere, and even the pleasant smell in the store makes for a feel good shopping experience every time (mom or not….)! Just looked down as I was typing and realized I am wearing a shirt from Evereve right now! (yup – I go way back to the Hot Mama days myself!)

    Love the tip on how to shine up your Hunter boots! I Googled this exact thing last weekend and ended up using olive oil on mine and they look good as new!

    The Hunter trick is something I will HAVE to try! It is so random, my mom’s red wellies get cloudy and so do my pink wellies, but I do not have any problems with my black pair (knock on wood, because I probably just jinxed myself). And that sweet sweet puppy! We have shih tzus and they remind me of your dogs except my doggies have the flatter noses. Puppies are the best!

    I haven’t had a problem yet with my rain boots getting dingy but I’ll remember that trick. I’ve heard cooking oil works well, too. Love Evereve! One of my favorite stores! That puppy is precious!

    I used to be a trendsend sytlist for Trendsend. They carry great premium denim but their quality of clothing is very hit and miss.

    That sweet dog is the CUTEST!! Do you ever do the monthly goal posts anymore? I loved those!! I would love to see more of those and day in the life posts. 2 times a year is just not enough! 😉
