I have to comment on the Sausage Lentil Chili. I made this about a year ago for the first time. My husband and I were unimpressed. HOWEVER, we heated up leftovers and it was oh my gosh, we loved it and wondered what was wrong with us the first time we tasted it! It has become an absolute favorite and I make it (crave it too) with frequency. I will say, we thought it was a bit bland and I add cumin, chili powder and a couple shakes of tabasco. We don’t like a lot of heat and this just adds a bit. I would suggest just following the recipe as is and then taste it to see if you might like adding anything else. Some may love it as it is. I use hot italian chicken sausage (I think you mention that as an option). I highly recommend this recipe!
