Well, one week from today…the kids go back to school.
Sigh.
My mama heart has all the emotions right now…but instead of dwelling on that, here are a few pics from our trip last week to San Antonio’s JW Marriott. You know it’s a good trip when you only take a few pics and forget to look at your phone. Happy Monday, friends!
Ah! We love doing life with the Slaughters! It’s just FUN!
Day two! I love any trip that only involves me packing pajamas and swimsuits for everyone!
I was holding Britt while Madeley played peek-a-boo! Hahahaha!
These two girls are just so sweet!!!
Okay, if you’re wondering about this resort verses the Lost Pines in Austin (where we took the kids on our first annual road trip), I would say there are pros and cons to each. I think the hotel accommodations are just about the same for each. We had nice rooms that allowed us to accommodate six people in one room (if you call them they’ll let two parents put four kids in a room and give you wristbands for everyone to visit the pool). Both resorts have a Starbucks (which makes breakfast easy!) and nice restaurants poolside for swimsuit and cover-up dining. The Lost Pines pool area is quite a bit smaller than the Marriott’s. Where Lost Pines has one slide, the Marriott has four slides (two are for really small kids) plus two rides that use tubes. Also, the Marriott’s lazy river is much deeper and longer. I will say though that Lost Pines has the amazing movie night outside which we loved, and we didn’t have that at the Marriott. Don’t worry though…they both do s’mores outdoor after dinner 🙂 . In my opinion, if you’re looking for a place in Texas to visit, you can’t go wrong with either!
Okay…I’m off to finish laundry and take kiddos to speech. See you tomorrow! xo

What drink and food are your go-to’s from Starbucks? ?
Mix and Match Mama says
It varies depending on the time of the year. I typically get a Pike with cream, but sometimes, I get a London Fog Latte with almond milk or something seasonal (hello PSL!).

Ha! Shay, you are a mind reader:) I absolutely wanted to know the pros/cons of each resort. Which do you think is more suitable for older kids/teens? Enjoy these last few days of summer!
