Happy Monday, friends!
Whew!
Spring Break is over, so now, I’m ready for summer 😉 .
I have zero desire to pack a lunch now.
I am officially ruined for the remainder of the school year.
Ha!
We spent a great week in Florida enjoying fun and sun (blog post to follow…I promise…I’m not purposely trying to put them off…I swear!), but we got home yesterday and are re-grouping today. Our kiddos actually don’t go back to school until tomorrow, so it’s one more day to play before the real world starts again. Speaking of Florida…
…two weeks ago, Erika and I had a great time at Walt Disney World scouting out locations, new improvements, COVID procedures, the Skyline, the new resort, and so.much.more.
Every day, we would spend about three hours in the morning at the parks and then head off to work on things for our clients. We had a long list of things to do, lots of pictures to take for our clients and questions to get answered in person. We ate at restaurants our clients were interested in, checked out certain accommodations, visited so many resorts and other things like that, and it truly was a VERY productive trip!
I’ve received so many questions about this trip that I didn’t want to just not talk about it (many of the questions seemed time-sensitive), and I know many of you want me to share every single thing we learned and all the details, but that probably wouldn’t be super fair to my clients or my team. As much as I would love to just spill it all here, I have to be sensitive to the ladies who work for me that try really hard to distinguish our services as personal and always use extreme attention to detail. If you would love for us to help you plan your trip, then please reach out. We take great pride in creating spectacular Disney vacations without any extra fees, so we would certainly love to help you too! If you have a Disney vacation already booked or just don’t want to use a travel professional to help you plan your next one, please know this, IT WAS SUCH A GREAT EXPERIENCE! You will have the best time! Only Disney could make these circumstances seem easy, manageable and of course, magical.
I will start doing a better job moving forward documenting our vacations and YES, one of these days, I will recap…
…our Hawaiian vacation too!! I love what I do here on my blog. YOU ARE SUCH A BLESSING TO ME, and whether you knew about it or not, last year was hard for Mix and Match Travel Agency, but I’m so proud of where we are today, and I’m so excited to continue planning wonderful vacations.
That’s all for this Monday! Love you guys!! xo

Can you share where you got your Mickey masks & Disney shirts?? We are supposed to be going in December & I am SOOOO EXCITED!!!!! I can’t WAIT to see it all decorated for Christmas!!!!!
Mix and Match Mama says
You’re going to have the BEST time!!! Disney plus Christmas?! EXTRA MAGICAL!! We bought our shirts there at WDW. They actually sold both t-shirts at all of the parks. We bought our masks here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/ChristieEllaBoutique
Jill says
What purse/bag do you recommend for DW!! We are going in May!
Mix and Match Mama says
Will you have a Magic Band? If so, a really small crossbody is all you need for your phone, lip gloss, maybe a mini sunscreen and your sunglasses.
Patrice says
That school lunch picture is too funny!
As a teacher I’ve totally seen exactly that and worse!!!
Erika Slaughter says
I had such a great time at WDW with you! Let’s go back STAT!!
Ilena Varner says

Glad your back. Missed waking up to your blogs last week. It’s part of my routine. Glad you had a great vacation and all the friend and family time. We were teased last week with nice weather in Kentucky.
Kristine says
Do you help plan trips to the parks even if family is not staying in the park?
Mix and Match Mama says
No, we do require that our Walt Disney World vacations include a stay at a resort property.
Sue Jones says
I’m so glad you are back. I seriously have with drawl pain when you do not post a blog. LOL
Hope you and your family had a fun spring break!!!
Melynda says
I’d love to know if you have any recommendations for quick service gluten free food that’s not just chicken nuggets/strips.
Mix and Match Mama says
K eats a lot of grilled chicken, salads, and things like that when we travel. I do think Disney does an AMAZING job of handling food allergies too!
Nicole DiDonato says
Yes Disney is so so accommodating with food allergies!!
Jane says
Well, isn’t this so much fun!! I am ready to go! Stat!
MelanieL says
Now I’m thinking my next sister trip needs to be to Disney (without the kids!!)…LOL! I mean you and Erika are just the cutest in your matching shirts! 🙂
Lauren Sheaffer Sims says
WELCOME BACK! How cute are y’all in those sparkly ears!
Amanda says
Sharing some about Disney and he things are working would probably encourage people to be more open to taking a Disney trip and using your agency. Most other Disney planners are sharing this information openly to encourage people to travel there, not be secretive like you.
Mix and Match Mama says
You know, it’s hard because I do want to share everything we discovered/learned/etc but I have to be sensitive to my team members who don’t all have large platforms and really want the opportunity to discuss the trip with individual clients on a more personal level. If you want to go and have questions for us, we’d love to connect! As much as my loyalty lies with you guys (and you know it does!!!), my loyalty especially lies with my team who work so hard creating these trips for customers to support their families financially. If they think I need to allow them the opportunity to share with clients one on one versus putting everything on my blog, I am not going to deny them that.

Happy Monday and welcome home! Glad you had some fun in the sun!! I can’t wait to use your team to plan my families future Disney trip!! My daughter turned 2 in January, and I’m think I’d like to wait until she’s at least 3.
About how far in advance do you need to book for a Disney trip? Thanks!!
Chrys says
Can’t wait to read your travel blogs again. They are my very favorite! I love seeing people on vacation happy and relaxed. ? Welcome back, Shay!
Julie says
Hi Shay-Welcome back! I’m a former Disney planner (loved it all!) and I’m curious, are the parks at capacity? They look so empty in a nice way. I miss it there so much.
Mix and Match Mama says
They are not…and it was delightful 😉 .
Susy says
Thank you for understanding that for some of us this is indeed a sensitive area! I truly appreciated you mentioning you are sensitive to that.
Many of your followers may indeed be following CDC guidelines to only travel if it is essential.
It is great to hear many are choosing to put off their long-awaited opportunity to travel until guidelines are updated, in assuredly just a few more months when more are vaccinated and there is less opportunity for asymptomatic transmission. Thank you.
Jaren says
Can’t wait to hear about all the trips!! Always my fav!! We have a trip planned to Disney this summer! It’ll be a second try since last year got cancelled. Glad to hear it is just as magical!
Mix and Match Mama says
Jaren, you will have a wonderful time!!!!
Julie says
I know you all are expert Disney planners but do you plan trips to Universal Studios as well? I have an almost 12 year old girl eager to visit Harry Potter’s World.
Mix and Match Mama says
We don’t do Universal trips alone, but we do help our Disney clients who want to go over for a day or two.
Lindsay Stewart says
Love your trip recaps and recommendations! Please recap that Hawaii trip sooner than later?!? We’re thinking we are going to try to do that trip in 2022 and I’ve got kids around the ages of your bigs. Would love your trip recap to help get some ideas!
