What I Wore: Holiday Edition!

Happy Monday, friends!

Today, I’m sharing my first ever WHAT I WORE: HOLIDAY EDITION!

Every year, I love finding fun and festive tops to wear during the holiday season (because come on, it’s just FUN to wear red during December!), so this year, I thought I’d show you my faves from years past along with current pieces I have, so that you have time to order your festive stuff before December hits.  Crank up the carols, sip your coffee and start scrolling…

I love this cozy sweatshirt!!  This was a find last year and is still available now!  Paired with jeans and wedge booties and I’m ready for a fun weekday of errands!

I loooove me some buffalo check during the holiday season!  I bought this The North Face hoodie last year, and it kept me cozy warm.  This year’s version is a little different, but still super cute.  Paired with jeans and Ugg booties for the win!

So, I took this outfit here…

…and just paired it with…

red heels and festive earrings.  Bam.  Easy as that!  I’m obsessed with this top (which comes in many colors!) and those frayed velvet jeans.  My heels are from last year, but I found a similar pair HERE.

This will be my third Christmas season with my Merry & Bright shirt!  Throw on a fun hat, jeans and wedges and I’m out the door lookin’ festive!

Red sweater, velvet jeans and heels for an easy dinner out.  I love sweater weather.  IT IS MY VERY FAVORITE!!!

You can also take the sweater and make it more casual…

…with a festive scarf, jeans and those Ugg booties.

Every year, I buy these pjs from Old Navy and LOVE THEM…

Top, pants and Ugg slippers for the win while I watch Christmas movies with my fam…

I love this festive set too!! (There are so many, you just mix and match your favorite tops with bottoms!)…

These colors make me happy 🙂 .

Last but not least, I’ve been using these two holiday makeup pieces for a little extra sparkle…

…this Bobbi Brown eye shadow kit (in smokey) and MAC lip gloss (in rosebuddy).

That’s my What I Wore: Holiday Edition!

I’m off for my four year old’s well visit…and neither of us are looking forward to it.  Here’s hopin’ your Monday starts off better than Madeley’s 😉 .

I love the Old Navy pjs!! I feel like I always need to go up 1 size with thermal shirts – do you find that true with yours?

    • Mix and Match Mama November 12, 2018 at 6:03 am

I do! I bought my TTS in the pants, but sized up one in the tops. I’m glad you mentioned that!

    • Mix and Match Mama November 12, 2018 at 6:43 am

I’m wearing it RIGHT NOW!! I love it!

  • Jill Koch November 12, 2018 at 6:39 am

Love it! Are the UGG boots comfy like most UGG boots or less so because they are a wedge? They are sooo cute!

    • Mix and Match Mama November 12, 2018 at 6:43 am

They are legit SO COMFY!! And they’re lined all the way through too, so they’re warm.

      • Jill Koch November 12, 2018 at 10:36 pm

        Okay great, thank you!!

  • Kasey November 12, 2018 at 7:13 am

Are the old navy PJ pants soft/comfy? Sometimes their stuff is cheap and scratch feeling? Are you wearing small in the pants?

    • Mix and Match Mama November 12, 2018 at 11:40 am

YESSSSSSS! I totally agree with you about their material sometimes, but this stuff is so cozy!!

  • Cynthia Rios November 12, 2018 at 9:09 am

What size do you have in the Noel sweatshirt? How do they run?

    • Mix and Match Mama November 12, 2018 at 11:40 am

They’re TTS and I believe mine is an xsmall!

      • Christy November 12, 2018 at 2:27 pm

What about your merry & bright shirt? Trying to decide between a small and medium!

        • Mix and Match Mama November 12, 2018 at 2:35 pm

          I think it’s TTS!

  • Sarah November 12, 2018 at 9:33 am

I love your festive tops! I might need to add that black one from NYC to my collection. Good luck today – 4 year old check ups are the hardest!!

  • Beverly Harris November 12, 2018 at 9:35 am

Hi! I love this so much! What color are your Ugg
booties-Chestnut or Antelope? Thanks! Hope you have a great day!

    • Mix and Match Mama November 12, 2018 at 11:40 am

      Chestnut! You too!!!!!!!

  • Julie November 12, 2018 at 9:42 am

Shay do you wear socks with your booties with the zippers?

    • Mix and Match Mama November 12, 2018 at 11:39 am

I go both ways. Most of the time (like today), I do not, but when I flew to NYC and back, I did. I’m so weird.

      • Julie November 16, 2018 at 8:52 pm

Wonderful! Thank you. I just got my pair last week. Looking forward to wearing them soon. They are so cute and comfy!

  • Patty November 12, 2018 at 10:53 am

You’re SO good at showing how things can be dressed up or down. I have a tendency to think because I’ve worn a top in a casual way it can’t be worn dressy, but you always prove me wrong.

I need those Old Navy pajamas in my life! Those are the cutest!

  • Christin November 12, 2018 at 12:32 pm

So cute and festive! What color are your Ugg slippers?

    • Mix and Match Mama November 12, 2018 at 12:59 pm

      The chestnut!

  • Jenna November 12, 2018 at 12:45 pm

Such cute and festive looks for the holidays! Nothing beats Christmas movies in cozy pajamas. Happy Monday!

  • Nicole November 12, 2018 at 3:23 pm

Love all of this!! I have a random beauty question; do you get your beauty blender wet each time you use it?? Thanks! Merry Monday 🙂

    • Mix and Match Mama November 13, 2018 at 5:25 am

I would say slightly damp. Just a little!

  • Carly November 12, 2018 at 3:50 pm

Are you putting up your decorations today? I seem to remember you do that around Veterans Day! Cant wait to see those photos! Ugh, Madeley deserves a treat after that!

  • Marianne November 12, 2018 at 8:27 pm

The Ugg slippers are they house slippers or shoes you can wear out? I like the Ugg booties, but it’s hard to wear skip on booties – I wish they had a zipper or something to help slip on

    • Mix and Match Mama November 13, 2018 at 5:24 am

I don’t wear them out, but my kids’ art teacher does with her jeans and always looks so cute!

  • Sheaffer November 12, 2018 at 11:40 pm

Well, how much FUN was that! You always look so festive around the holidays. Great post!

  • Sheaffer November 12, 2018 at 11:40 pm

Such a fun post! You always look so festive, so this was a great post!
