Every Sunday morning, I bring breakfast for my Sunday school class and nothing, I repeat NOTHING makes them happier than a savory casserole.
For this one, I used eggs, bacon, cheddar and croissants. Basically, everything perfect in life was inside every bite. Make it this weekend! You will love it too!
Shopping List
1 pound of bacon, crisped and crumbled (I like to crisp up my bacon in the oven)
6 large croissants, torn into pieces
6 eggs, lightly scrambled
2 cups of milk
2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard
2 cups of grated cheddar cheese
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Grease (I used Pam) a 9×13 casserole dish.
Take your torn croissants and place them down in your casserole dish. Set aside.
In a bowl, whisk together your eggs, milk, and Dijon. Stir in your crispy bacon pieces and shredded cheddar. Pour this egg mixture down over your bread.
At this point, you could cover and refrigerate overnight or you could immediately pop it in the oven.
This casserole bakes uncovered about 55 to 60 minutes.
Remove from oven and allow to sit about five minutes before cutting into squares and serving.
This would make a really delicious dinner too!! xo

Looks delicious! Did you let yours sit overnight? I’m sure it’s great either way!

I’m still thinking about this casserole! So delicious!!!
Terri says
Do you think it would be ok without the mustard? Or recommend any other substitute? I despise mustard but this sounds AMAZING!
Mix and Match Mama says
Just omit it! It will be delish!
Gwen says
How many will this serve?
Mix and Match Mama says
It depends on how big you slice it. I got 12 nice pieces out when I made it on Sunday.
Bailey says
Do you use raw pillsbury dough croissants? Or does it have to be baked first?
Mix and Match Mama says
I actually use croissants (not crescent rolls) from my bakery!

I thought of a good post idea for you – A Day in the Life style post about your Sunday. I am intrigued that your Sunday School includes breakfast! We get a scant cup of coffee and a store bought cookie after church but nothing as good as this casserole! Do you attend the service or just teach Sunday school? How long are you there for?
Mix and Match Mama says
That’s a really good post idea!! I always go to either my adult class or I teach the 3 year olds (I rotate every other week). No matter which class I attend, I drop off breakfast even if I’m not staying. Then, I go to worship with my fam after our class. We’re there like 9:15 to noon.

That looks SO delicious! Can’t wait to try it out. Have a great weekend.

What side would you recommend to have with your MAPLE ORANGE SALMON? It’s on my meal plan for next week and I was looking for a side to make.
Mix and Match Mama says
Yum! What about some sort of rice? I love rice with salmon. And then a big green salad!
