Me oh my oh! My friends sure do love it when I make any type of Sausage Ball! I’ve made these twice now in the last month for church because they’re so popular!
Sausage Balls are the perfect little appetizer or breakfast. I like to change mine up all the time…and this time, I made them with goat cheese and candied jalapenos. Yes, please!
I used a little cream cheese, a little goat cheese, a bit of shredded cheddar and candied jalapenos…and then made it into a sausage ball. Yum-my!
This recipe is going to make about 24 golf ball-sized balls.
Shopping List
1 pound of breakfast sausage (I used Owen’s), uncooked
4 oz of goat cheese, softened
1 (8 oz) package of cream cheese, softened
1 cup of candied jalapenos plus a splash of the juice in the jar
½ cup white cheddar cheese, shredded
1¼ cups Bisquick mix
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Line a cookie sheet with foil and then spray it with cooking spray (for easy clean up). Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, combine all of your ingredients with a hand mixer. Don’t over-beat, just lightly blend. (I just added like a tablespoon or so of the juice in with the ingredients.) Roll out the mixture into golf ball sized balls and place them on your prepared baking dish.
Bake about 20 to 25 minutes or until browned.
Remove and serve immediately or at room temperature.
So many fantastic flavors in every bite!

This reminds me a go to sausage muffin I make for my family and they are low carb
1 lb all natural breakfast sausage (we use Jimmy Dean)
4 eggs
1 cup cheddar cheese
1 cup Heart Smart bisquick
Mix above all ingredients. Spray muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray. Scoop a large spoonful into each muffin slot (make a dozen) Bake at 350 for about 9-12 minutes depending on your oven (I use convection so normally only need 9 minutes. One and done and only about 8-9 carbs per muffin. My kids LOVE them.
