Happppppy Wednesday!
It’s another edition of LET’S LOOK!
Once a month, Erika and I host a link up where we “look” at little aspects of our lives. If you’re a blogger, make sure you blog and link up!
Here’s what we’ve been “looking” at so far this year…
In January, we looked at the coziest spots in our house
In February, we looked at our favorite reads
In March, we looked at the people in our family!
And today, we’re looking at our PANTRIES!
I had to really stop and make sure I didn’t type panties there.
Sigh.
Ha! Call me crazy, but posts like these are some of my VERY favorite to read on other people’s blogs! I love little peeks inside to see how people “do” life. I think a pantry tour is the perfect little glimpse into other people’s homes. Now, Andrew and I have lived in five places over the last fifteen years and definitely had our fair share of pantries. This is the first place where we actually have a walk-in pantry and not just a few shelves, so I’m pretty pleased with mine. In our last two homes, we kept food in a lot places besides the pantry because we just didn’t have the room (like the laundry room and even one time, the master closet!), but now, we have plenty of space. On Saturday morning, I walked in and took some pics with my assistant Madeley by my side.
Welcome to our pantry…
Come on in! Not gonna lie…sometimes, I sit on that little stool with the door closed and have a snack in the peace and quiet. Ha! My friend Amy made my sign filled with all of our favorite sweet recipes.
On one side, I have all of our plates, bowls and serving pieces stacked…
…plus, some of our small electric devices that we don’t use every day.
My parents gave us a Vitamix Blender years ago and we use it all.the.time. Next to it is…
…my big wooden salad bowl which is currently housing our bread for the week, avocados (which were underneath it) and bananas.
You guys know how much I love a little lamp 🙂 .
We toast up waffles and bread every single morning.
I can’t have too many little bowls. We all use them for snacking and dips.
The middle drawers have paper napkins and place mats plus…
…seasonal stuff.
The cabinets below hold…
…some more appliances like my slow cooker, electric griddle and hand mixers.
This cabinet has all of my seasonal spatulas (see below), cups and other odds and ends that we use in the kitchen.
Did you know that I do this? I change out my spatulas with every season…
…I currently have my Easter ones displayed in the kitchen 🙂 . For every holiday, I have a spatula.
The top of the other side is for our margarita machine and all the fixings. I also have my plain white serving pieces up there too.
All my baking goods!
You need cupcake liners, sprinkles or extracts? I have a bin for that! I also have a bin of “chips” (white chocolate, milk chocolate, peanut butter chocolate, peppermint, etc and nuts for baking).
I apparently am afraid of a cornstarch shortage. Why so many?
I bought these bins about six months ago and they’re great for snacks and things for my kids to make their school lunches. Underneath each bin is a second bin with more stuff.
All the canned goods, boxed goods, grains and such we need for cooking.
Andrew has a dedicated shelf for his protein powders, cups and such. That basket is for all of my onions and garlic and then the rest is just stuff we need.
Applesauce is Madeley’s favorite thing…besides cheese.
Snacks and lunch stuff!
That’s the end of our pantry tour!
Thanks for taking a look!!! Next month, we’re looking at…YOUR FAVORITE #OOTD!
Make sure you link up if you blogged today too!
I hope you all have a fantastic Wednesday!!!

You know I make dinner for my people almost every night, but it’s not gonna surprise you to know that I own ONE spatula. And I don’t even know what color it is? Maybe red? I’m really not even sure!
Charmaine Ng | Architecture & Lifestyle Blog says
I really wish we could have a little space carved out called a “pantry” space! It’s basically unheard of in Hong Kong, since most people live in 300 sq ft flats. I would totally get an air fryer and an Instant Pot if I had the space to store them! 😛

Where do you find all the seasonal spatulas?
Mix and Match Mama says
Almost all of them are Williams-Sonoma.
Julie C. says
I absolutely LOOVE your pantry…and maybe a tad jealous of all the room & chandelier 😉
Christy says
Where did you get your Easter spatulas? Cuuuuute!
Mix and Match Mama says
They’re all older, but I believe they’re all from Williams-Sonoma.
Sheaffer Sims says
I too have one rubber spatula. One. And I don’t even think I use it very often. YOUR PANTRY IS GORGEOUS. If somebody told me I had to blog about my pantry right now, I would legit have a panic attack.
Lydia says
Funny how in Britain we don’t really have these. Don’t think I’ve ever met anyone with a pantry, everything just goes in the kitchen cupboards and most of them would be empty otherwise!
Tara G. says
Your pantry is dreamy. And for the record, I bet you’d have just as many readers today if the topic was panties…because “they” always mess with a good thing, discontinue favorites & it’s such a painful process to find a workable replacement .
Mix and Match Mama says
Hahahaha! Thanks, Tara!
Alison Liudahl says
I love your pantry Shay! Would you do a future post on your Vitamix and what you make in it? I got a new one recently and have yet to use it…
Thanks!!
Mix and Match Mama says
Lots of smoothies mostly. I’ve done soups as well, but mostly, smoothies.
Kaitlyn says
Team seasonal spatulas! ?
Amanda F says
Where did you find the sugar/flour containers with chalkboard space to write on?
Mix and Match Mama says
Container Store. I bought the stickers there separately and added them to the canisters.
Justyna Karon says
It’s beautiful! But if everything is in the pantry are your kitchen cabinet empty?? 🙂
Mix and Match Mama says
We don’t have a ton of kitchen cabinets (some but not many uppers at all). They store things like coffee mugs, spices, baking sheets, cutting boards, kids’ cup, glassware, silverware, outdoor entertaining pieces, etc.
Narci says
What a fun post! I love your pantry. The chandelier is so fabulous!
Lisa N says
Love your pantry…makes cooking and baking fun to have everything so organized! And always love the light from your little lamps in your pictures. A little curious, since you have everything from food to dishes and appliances in there, what’s in your kitchen cabinets besides spoons and forks???
Mix and Match Mama says
Oh! I just answered that one above!! Coffee mugs, cups, spices, baking sheets, cutting boards, outdoor entertaining pieces, kids’ stuff, allll of my baking dishes like muffin tins, cake tins, 9×13 pans, 8×8 pans, etc.
Sarah Shaneyfelt says
LOVE your pantry and how it’s organized! We’ve decided in the next house we build that our pantry is going to be much bigger and with cabinets!!
MeetTheShaneyfelts
Paula says
100% pantry envy. Gorgeous!
Chrissy says
A beautiful pantry!! Love the organization. I have to say I was a little surprised you don’t have a bread drawer, or a proper bread bin. The wicker bowl for the bread just doesn’t seem you! 😉 Ha!
Mix and Match Mama says
Ha! If I don’t see it, I forget to use it! Same with those darn bananas 🙂 .
Erin E Port says
Looks great 🙂 I love our walk-in pantry too!!! We store our art and craft supplies in there as well. i would love to build in drawers and shelves someday!
Brandi N says
It’s all so gorgeous and functional, but let’s be honest, my ears perked up at “margarita machine” and I couldn’t get refocused. Tell me more about this appliance. We currently use our vitamix for margaritas and now I’m wondering if I need your machine???
Mix and Match Mama says
We bought it on Amazon (of course!). I believe it’s a Jimmy Buffet one? Like maybe a Margaritaville one???
Paige E says
2 Favorite things about this post. #1 – I thought its said panties too!!! #2 Madeley’s little flipped under toes in that last pic! Adorable!
pam says
Thank you, Shay for sharing your awesome pantry! I love those spatulas! What kind of places (stores, etc.) do you purchase them from?
Mix and Match Mama says
Williams-Sonoma!!
Julie says
Andrew’s protein smoothie shelf-love it! That made me smile big time. Your pantry is beautiful and my heart belongs to the baking shelf. So fun! We live in an older home in New England so we basically have three pantries in all random areas of the house. The hardest thing for me is Tupperware….all the kids’ reusable sandwich boxes and such. They always seem to be overflowing my one drawer. Do you keep that type of thing in the kitchen? Thanks for sharing-I was totally mesmerized by OPP! (Other peoples’ pantries 🙂
Mix and Match Mama says
Those are in the cabinets in the island. I have them in bins to corral them because yes, they can get out of control!
Stephanie says
Can you share your paint colors for the walls and cabinets, please????
Mix and Match Mama says
Walls are Sherwin Williams Kilim Beige and the cabinets are a cream with a brown stain.
Ann Marie Tennison says
Don’t mind me- I’m going to spend the next hour getting inspired by pantries! Sick kiddos at home…. so pantry inspiration it is! I’ve always loved your pantry!
Brandye says
All the heart eyes on your pantry! I’m literally swooning!! We have a surprisingly small pantry for the size of our house. Our house before was an older home (near downtown Mobile, AL), so while we had a “Butler’s Pantry” area, we didn’t have a true pantry at all. So I was excited to get the one I have!! But I dream of one like yours!
Stephanie says
Well I have some serious pantry envy right now! In my next house, a walk in pantry is on the “would love to have” list!
Katy O says
I’m glad you mentioned the whole panty/pantry thing because when I first read the title I thought it said “Let’s look at our PANTIES” and I was thinking “HARD PASS!” HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Jill says
Love all of your seasonal spatulas! I’m all about seasonal items.
Megan says
Your little custard dishes are SO cute!!! Do you remember where you got them? Especially the ones with the rounded edges!
Mix and Match Mama says
Oh goodness, I don’t! I’ve been collecting those things for years from random spots.
Dianna says
Your pantry might be my favorite part of your house. Love it! #pantryenvy
Sara says
I love that you have a whole bin full of almond butter sandwich cookies – I’M OBSESSED WITH THEM!
Mix and Match Mama says
I AM LITERALLY EATING ONE RIGHT NOW!!! Hahaha!
Ella says
Your pantry is like another kitchen, WOW! And I love how organized it is.
Our house has no pantry, so we store food in the kitchen cabinets, and the master bedroom closet, under the dining room table etc.
Patty Anderson says
Please tell me more about your Vitamix! My husband would love one, but there are so many to choose from it gets a bit overwhelming.
Mix and Match Mama says
My mom bought Catherine and me one, and it really is amazing. It self cleans. Yes. That’s my favorite part!
Bobbie says
Love your pantry!
Ok 2 thoughts reading this…my son and Madeley would be fast friends! We buy a few boxes of those applesauce pouches every time we go to Costco! He goes through at least 4 pouches a day! And one more thought, I love baking and cupcakes are my “thing”. I have an Oxo pop top tall container that is intended for spaghetti but have found that it is perfect for storing the many cupcake liners I have. It makes it easy to see them all. Just an idea in case you have hundreds of cupcake liners like me!
Amanda @ That Inspired Chick says
Ahhhh! Just sitting down to read blogs for the first time all week and this is my favorite!! Your pantry makes me happy, super jealous (all that space!!! ahhhh!!!) and that margarita machine…yes girl. Can we bust that out next time?? ?

Jennifer says
It is so gorgeous! And the perfect size!! This is probably overkill, but we are in the process of selling our home and may end up building rather than buying another one. Do you have any idea approximately how big your pantry room is? Just an estimate would be fine. I’ve never had one and can’t judge from house plans how functional one would be based on just measurements alone. Yours looks so good — plenty of room and SO FUNCTIONAL. Thanks for always putting up with all of our “nosey-ness” ! 🙂
Mix and Match Mama says
Oh goodness, I’ll try and measure. Email me so I don’t forget please!
Scarlett Spangler says
This pantry is GOALS! I want to be you when I grow up.
carol says
**During a (major) house reno I took out the laundry “room” (closet) and now I have a walk-in pantry..Love it.
**Funny about the corn starch- my sister just sent me a pic of her three boxes–one of which expired about 8 years ago and she said it has made three house moves with her (more gravy I say!)
** Like your sign…but you should have included Jordan Marsh Blueberry Muffins (all your Texan BFFs would be Whaaaa?)
Kim says
Do you use your seasonal spatulas or are they for decoration only?
Mix and Match Mama says
I totally use them all the time!
H.S. says
Hi Shay! Such a silly question. How wide is your pantry? And how deep? Thank you!!
H.S. says
How deep are the shelves? Cabinets?
Mother of 3 says
That is beautiful! I love the light and the color and the wall art!!
Jeanie says
Color me jealous! I have never had a real pantry. My fake pantry is the trunk of my car. Seriously.
Laurel M says
Love it! I might need to get on this seasonal spatula bandwagon. My silly thing is Bath & Body Works hand soap. I change them out monthly!
Julie Haslinger says
I love your pantry! It’s not just a place to store stuff but it’s super cute, but I’m a little disturbed by the Miracle Whip! Ha ha — Best Food’s mayo ALL.THE. WAY. 🙂
Mix and Match Mama says
Oh, I’m disturbed by it too. Mayo/Miracle Whip/whatever is so gross to me. #thatsallandrew
Kimberly C says
Serious pantry envy over here ? Yours is so dreamy looking. I love our house but with how much I love to cook and bake, the kitchen is my less than ideal. I always tell my husband that when we win the lottery the kitchen will be remodeled ? My pantry would probably be more functional and fit a lot more if I used up the things in there before buying more. My I’ll put purging that area on my list for today.
Michelle says
Do you have fine china in your pantry? Or do you store it somewhere else? I just inherited my Grandma’s fine china and I have no clue how to store it!
Mix and Match Mama says
I don’t really have fine china.
Shannon C. says
What type of mixing bowls do you prefer to use? As in the material and from where?
Mix and Match Mama says
Those are all Williams-Sonoma!
Stephanie says
Can you share the wall color in the pantry?? ?
Mix and Match Mama says
Sherwin Williams Kilim Beige
Tara Hall says
Thanks for sharing! I love how stocked your pantry is with kids’ snacks and lunch items! Random side note: I noticed your jars of almond butter ….. you should try the almond butter from Costco! Kirkland’s brand – no sugar and totally creamy – it’s so good!
Janet says
I thought I was doing well with a spatula or two for each season. Need to up my game!!!
Adriana says
Your pantry is beautiful and well sorted but my Type A organizer tendencies want to style it via The Home Edit with the clear container store bins, lazy susans and canned good organizers. I can envision it now and it is so aesthetically pleasing!
Mix and Match Mama says
That would look great!
