It’s another edition of LET’S LOOK!

We have been doing this little linky party for years now, and it’s always one of my favorite posts each month because most of the topics are YOUR suggestions!

And today, we’re LOOKING AT STOCKING STUFFERS (because remember, per your request, we swapped the prompts this month and in December!).
I don’t know about you, but stocking stuffers are the first things I buy and put away. They’re easy to grab in advance, easy to hide around my house, and it’s always so nice to have them ready to add to the stockings.
I rounded up my favorites and have them below. Just a reminder, feel free to shop this any way you like. I added ages and genders just to keep it a bit organized, but certainly, I know that some of us will shop for our loved ones off of collages that aren’t “labeled” exactly for them. I’m just trying to be organized here as I have a lot of great ideas for your season!

Hi Shay! Great post. How do you write such a long and detailed post when on vacation? Do you have someone behind the scenes who does all the graphics and links? Also, why does your travel agency not offer many national destinations and mostly international? I know several people who use travel agencies (including myself) and never have I heard of one that doesn’t help with both national and international and anywhere you so desire to go. How does Andrew seem to get so much time off from his job…is he retired from the agency? Did he sell his agency? You guys sure travel a lot with four kids and two with special needs…ever feel guilty about that. I mean there’s a love of travel….a lot of us have that passion. But then there’s excessive travel and behavior. With four children and two very young with additional needs …. Seems very selfish and cold and well self centered.

There is a lot here (and some of it leans really not super sweet), but I’ll address it to a point.
I didn’t write this post on vacation, I wrote it before I left and scheduled it to be published 🙂 . I’m typing this comment from vacation (it’s early here, so I’m doing a little work before I go to the hotel gym). I have an amazing, amazing, amazing team who does so much with me at my travel agency but blog content is 100% me. These collage graphics here were made by a graphic designer mom I know from my kids’ school. I sent her the list of items (I did ask some of the ladies with younger kiddos at my travel agency which items their little kids love the most and they shared-because I don’t have little kids), and I linked each item and wrote the post.
For me, I feel like our agency would be spread too thin if we offered both domestic and international destinations, so we focus on a few domestic and then mainly specialize in cruising and international destinations. I absolutely could offer both, but if I thought our quality of service/expertise/attention to detail would suffer, why would I do that? One day, maybe we’ll be in a position to do that, but for now, it’s in my team and my clients’ best interest to focus on what we’re really good at and not water ourselves down.
My husband owns his own business (for 17 years now) and has built up enough time off as due to him for having the same job (and doing it quite well) for 17 years. Andrew loves his job and says he’ll die behind his desk (he swears he’ll never retire).
As for my kiddos, I think we’re through answering questions. I don’t owe a stranger on the internet (only bold because she is hiding behind a screen) any explanation on my sweet kids. This is a happy place. I pray you find some joy in your day today as I am in mine. xx

Shay-I think there are so many things we all have learned from you and we love about your blog.. but seeing how well you handle negative people is by far the best thing I have taken away. I have a tough skin but I feel myself getting upset/angry when I read what strangers write in your comments (and it has nothing to do with me), but the way you handle it makes me think twice in my own life about getting upset over silly things.
