Today is PART 2 of our Q&A!

I originally told you guys that I would answer this part in text, but you girls were so sweet and the overwhelming majority asked that we do one more video to finish things off.  So, that’s what we did.

    We just love these little videos at our house! The one thing that sticks out to me- when you guys were trying to decide if Andrew is quirky at all…Umm…not wanting your wife to wear socks and eating 35 pieces of chicken a day is a little on the quirky side! 🙂

    Another great video! I love how honest and sincere (and funny!) your answers were.? I’d love to see a post about your kids’ bedtime routines – we have 2 kids and I feel like my hubby & I spend too much time getting them ready & settled for bed. Any tips?

      I think the key is to not drag it out. We have a really clear and specific routine that isn’t long.

    This was so fun! When I did enneagram, I was like— okay, another personality test. My husband and I are both 2’s and you all are the first couple that I’ve known to also have same number.

    I love that you did part 2 as a video as well!! You two are so inspiring! I just love you Shay. I think I’ve literally read every single one of your blogs (I even back-read the ones from before I found you years and years ago.) I always love when Andrew blogs or is in videos. He’s such a good man! Random question for you… you mentioned once a long time ago how you get your blog printed in book format or something like that almost as a back up for it. I would love to do this with mine… so many pictures and anecdotes about my kiddos. Would love to know who you get your blog printed though or how you go about that?

    So glad to hear you guys don’t have scheduled weekly date nights either. It’s become such a thing it seems like, but that’s just not us. We like hanging out with our kids and we are homebody’s. And guess what, we still have a great marriage!

    You had me as soon as you said you took your enneagram! My husband and I are both the same number (ones). I think the more research you do, the more interesting it will be! These videos are very fun.

    You guys are just fun to listen to and so positive during a time that we need as much positive as we can get! I find it so interesting that you are both enneagram 8–the Challenger. I bet you have some interesting conversations when you don’t agree on something! 😉 I know you don’t put a lot of stock into the whole enneagram thing, and I didn’t either at first, until I took four different tests and I got the exact same result.

    I think I loved this one more than the first! And I disagree, I think Andrew is very funny. His humor is probably a bit more dry which I appreciate. You are both hilarious together (in the best way). These were so fun, hope to see more!

    Love these videos! Keep them coming:-) These have been so much fun to watch! How many coffees do you drink a day? I don’t get up at 4 although after listening to the amount of time you all have made want to try it!
    Would love to hear more about your transition to stay at home mom after Kensington- how long that lasted before you started building your blog and travel agency!

      Right now, I’m drinking two in the morning (one before workout and one after) and then another in the afternoon. I worked at home for State Farm Insurance right from the beginning. It was about 8 years ago that I decided to launch my travel agency, so I stopped working for SF and did that instead. So, I’ve always had work at home, it’s just looked a little different over the years.

    You guys are so cute!! Loved the videos! Just wondering, how does Andrew have such a crisp haircut?? Hahah. Do you cut it for him? My husband’s hair is getting so long in the quarantine and I would love a video about how to cut it!

      We are trying to perfect the barbershop over here…I’m cringing because trust me when I say, this is not our area! Thank you though!! We’re going to keep practicing on Smith and hope for the best (or shave everything off!).

    So much fun to see you two together. You balance each other so well, and I love how sweet and respectful you are with one another. LOVED your answer about being away from family for a year after you were married Best thing that ever happened to us was when the Air Force sent us away from both families for the first 5 years of our marriage. We HAD to learn to rely on each other and work together. Thirty five years later, that’s still my best advice when people ask for tips. Thanks for letting us into your lives once again. Beautiful!

It helps you determine the correct number. Sometimes the tests aren’t accurate. Please add videos with Andrew to the blog rotation!!

    This feels like a strange thing to say, but these videos were truly MOTIVATING for me! Weird?!?! But it’s the best word to describe it! I so enjoy seeing y’all on a more “real” level to remind us y’all have normal lives and explain how you navigate it all. I woke up feeling inspired (truly!). Too many times I overthink things…. “Ugh I don’t want to get up this early”.. “Ugh I don’t feel like making my bed right now..” Y’all put a sense of, don’t waste energy thinking about it, just do those little things and move on with your day! Idk, enjoyed these so much and hope to encourage you to continue doing them from time to time!

    So reassuring to hear someone besides me has strict bed times! 🙂 I only have 1 kiddo right now, she’s almost 10, but I’ve always kept a strict bed time for her in order to have ‘my’ time and a few minutes with my husband before bed. Sometimes the mom guilt is real over that!
