Life lately.


Life lately…has apparently all been about Smith ;).  Lots of extra birthday pictures just in case two birthday posts this week wasn’t enough. #picoverload #weeathibachi #again
Y’all…this made me LAUGH OUT LOUD!  Oh my goodness!  I saw this while I was at Kensington’s dance practice and was laughing out loud in the lobby of her studio.  So, so, so funny!
On Saturday night, we ate dinner with my parents, grandparents, Sean and Catherine for Smith’s birthday.  We let Smith pick the restaurant…and he picked Japanese hibachi…again.  #becausethatshisfavorite

We opened presents before dinner.  This dude was thrilled with his Star Wars stuff!

And after dinner, they sang to Smith and we all celebrated with ice cream.

Love my people.

On a random note, while we were waiting for our table, my mom, Grandmother and I realized we were all wearing the same bracelet…

Now, if this doesn’t prove that this bracelet works for everyone, I just don’t know what will ;).  Three generations all love the same bracelet.  And this also proves that my love of stacking gold bracelets is genetic.

After school, they said they were at a drive-in movie ;).

Ashby asked me if she could watch Sleeping Beauty on her iPad and I agreed.  Then she asked if I would sit down next to her and watch.  Sitting there watching the movie with her little foot touching mine was the sweetest part of my day.
Side note: Ashby doesn’t say Sleeping Beauty, it sounds more like Silly Booty…which makes Kensington and Smith roar with laughter every.single.time.  I was trying to get them to focus on their homework after school on Tuesday and it would get really quiet in the kitchen and all of a sudden Smith would whisper “silly booty” and Kensington would laugh so hard she couldn’t breath.  Sigh.  These kids!

I was folding laundry the other night and enjoyed my view…these two out in the dark playing basketball together.  Love these guys.

And this is random, but I posted this on FB earlier this week, so I thought I should post it here too…
…I read the reviews on this cardigan and was totally sold, so I ordered it and it came this week…and I’m in love!  This cardigan comes in 15 different colors/patterns and is super, super cute!  As soon as I wear it, I’ll take a pic so you can see.  It runs true to size!
And tonight for dinner…

    Life with a three-year-old is so fun! What would we do without our littlest ones keeping us laughing?! P.S. I know the focus of the photo was the KS bracelet, but something about three generations of beautiful, feminine hands actually made me well up. You three share more than your affinity for gold bracelets. I swear that's a picture to treasure.

    I appreciate how you capture the life moments! The "drive in" movie, so precious! I imagine that Smith's first date will probably be enjoying… hibachi! :p too funny! I think I could eat it 3 times a week too, although I doubt my clothes would continue to fit! Silly booty, the fun things that little people say!!! These posts make me smile and are awesome!

    Love the picture of all the bracelets, but am I crazy or is your wedding ring on your middle finger?! Maybe it's just the way the picture was taken, but I was trying to figure that one out for a while.

    Random note: Japanese hibachi is a thing us Americans made up! I know so sad! I am currently living in Japan and found this out after asking soooo many people because I just couldn't believe it……..
