Friday Favorites!


 

Good morning, friends!

Well, I don’t know about you, but right now, I’m all about one of my very favorite words…COZY!  When Nordstrom reached out and asked if we could partner together and talk about cozy things from their house brands, I was excited because I don’t know about you, but that’s my life right now.  Cozy, cozy, cozy…at home.

This is actually me two minutes after getting home from anything.  Hair up, shoes off, cozy ON!

Along with the coziness, just like every Friday, I’m also I’m linking up with my girls Andrea, Erika and Narci as well and sharing some other fun favorite things from this week (including a great idea from a reader!!).

Since it’s still April, I brought the big graphics back out again 😉 …

Well, I had a lot of questions about my graphic tees and joggers this week which is fun because…I LOVE THEM BOTH, they’re super comfy, and I keep wearing them on repeat…

Why yes, yes, I am pretending I’m on some sort of vacation right now 😉 .  These 1901 tees are super cute…

…I don’t know about you, but the more positive little happy vibes in my day, the better!  This tee makes me smile every time!  1901 has so many cute ones out right now!

Now, speaking of cute things, I’ve been wearing those joggers a lot lately with more than just the cute graphic tees…

…I wore it with this Zella tank (now 40% off!) too!  First, I wore this tank to…

…workout at home, and then two days later, instead of putting it away while I was folding laundry, I put it back on again with my joggers for a different look.

These are my first pair of joggers to own, and I’m kind of obsessed.  They come in several colors besides just black.  Mine are pretty picked over in sizes, but these are similar.  They feel like I’m wearing pajama pants…but I’m not.  Speaking of which…

…how cute are these pjs?!  They’re super soft too!  (And as always, I basically wear everything in life with those Ugg slippers because they are my FAVORITE!!)

 

My third favorite of the week is this chicken salad…

…have you guys had this?!  Is it seasonal??  I don’t think I’ve ever seen it before until about two weeks ago.  I bought it, devoured it and when I went back, I bought two other containers of it.  It makes a great (and easy!) lunch.  Who else has had this chicken salad?  I know it says “spicy” on the front, but it’s really not. I think it tastes like a really good dip wrapped in chicken.  Delish!!

 

You guys!!!  What took me so long?????

I started watching Hart of Dixie over the weekend and am in LOVE!  This is exactly the kind of show I need to be binging right now.  It’s light, it’s happy, it’s funny, it’s cute, it’s just what my brain needs to decompress. I’m only on episode four, but I’m smitten.  Why did it take me so long to watch this one?!  It’s like the Gilmore Girls…but maybe a little what…lighter?  Love.

I don’t know about the weather where you are, but the weather here keeps fluttering back and forth between 50 and 75, so on those colder days (like this past Tuesday), I’ve been wearing my leggings with tops like this…

…another comfy find from one of Nordstrom’s house brands.  This top is for everyone.  It’s a little loose, comes in multiple colors, has a three-quarter sleeve so it can be for cold days or warmer days, it’s soft…it’s just so versatile!  You can wear it with leggings, jeans, shorts…easy.  I am wearing one of those Halogen camis underneath it in black.  Those are THE MOST WORN ITEM IN MY CLOSET!  I like to wear white or black when layering.  I love them.  They wash and dry to perfection and last forever…and right now, they are 50% off!!!  With free shipping and free returns, Nordstrom is the place to shop right now for cozy stay at home wear and pjs 🙂 .  One of the many reasons I always love shopping there myself!

My final fave was a blog reader’s idea this week…

…early one morning, a sweet reader suggested we do a breakfast charcuterie board and within like 8 minutes, I had it put together!  My kids thought it was SO MUCH FUN!  You can see all the  details about that idea and our pics HERE.

      I think I have watched the entire series at least 5 times! One of my favorite shows – it is just plain fun! One of my friends said after she finished it that she wanted to live in Blue Bell!

    Hart of Dixie is great, and one reason it reminds you of Gilmore Girls is because they use some of the set for filming. I love the breakfast charcuterie idea, too!

    This is such a great idea! I did something similar when I had guests a little while ago. I had time to prepare so I had mini cinnamon rolls, bacon, sausage balls, fruit, etc…

    Do you think the Vuori joggers would work well for maternity and post partum? I think they need to be medium or low rise. I had some joggers that I loved for my last pregnancy, but they didn’t hold up well. Since I can’t go into any stores and try things on or easily return items right now, I’m cautious about buying more! Thanks!

      I’m not 100% sure, but right now, I’m wearing them and I could have totally pulled them under a bump! I think you’ll like the leg room (I would have when pregnant!).

    I love Hart of Dixie. I said the same thing about it being similar to Gilmore Girls. The town square has to be the same set as GG. I love the small town feel and silliness of it.
    We just started The Americans. Not sure how I feel about it yet.
    Reading Jessica Simpsons new book also.
    Its currently snowing here in MI and I’m dreaming of Disney and a beach.

    How often do you get new Ugg slippers? I am asking because I have had mine for 8 months and they are kinda getting a little stinky :-/ I wear them ALL the time and am in love! Any tips on helping with the stink?

      I get them once a year (every Fall) because I wear them HARD! I take my older pair and use them outdoors/garage/things like that.

    Hart of Dixie is great. And if you like that (I sound like Netflix), may I also suggest Virgin River? Very similar, and the main character is played by the same actress who plays Sophie on This is Us.

    Loved Heart of Dixie – great light hearted show. And boy do I wish we had your weather…we are an hour south of Detroit and have about 4 inches of snow on the ground and its still coming down!!! Yikes, mother nature is not happy with us!!

    Hart of Dixie is at the tip top of my FAVORITES list! I’m going through it right now again for the 4th time. After I finished it the first time, I went straight back through a second time! LOL Since Friends is gone, I guess HoD will be my new go to. Enjoy!! 🙂

    Good evening,
    We are so enjoying your GF recipes. My daughter hasn’t been diagnosed but since starting the diet, is living her best life.

    It looks like we are sailing on the same cruise as you did in Hawaii. Have you posted anywhere the excursions you selected? Or is there one in particular you wouldn’t miss? Only thing I know we are doing a day is the road to Hana. I’ve done that before and it is beautiful.
    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
