Oh goodness, on Monday, this girl right here…
…officially finished Pre-K!
Friends, look how much she grew this year…
…not only did she grow in height, but she just MATURED so much!!!
Why does she look so much BIGGER?! Some years, I look back and from beginning to end, I really see my kids’ growth even more than normal. For Kensington, I remember thinking fourth grade was a big year, but for Mades, I think Pre-K was HUGE! Not only did she physically grow, but she just evolved and is no longer the baby, she’s a BIG KID!
In lieu of all of that fun Pre-K grad stuff, they had a parking lot party where parents drove up and received goodies and said bye to their teachers. It was so bittersweet because we LOVED her teachers so much!!
I thought Madeley’s teachers did a great job. Even though we wanted big hugs and snuggles, we were at least so happy to get to say goodbye in person.
She was BEAMING!
So happy to see her teachers 🙂 !
I can’t believe she’s going to kindergarten!!
It was a sweet little moment for Madeley.
When we got home, we opened her goodie bag and looked inside…
…they had included so many great pics of Madeley throughout the year for us to keep.
This pic is special because it was donuts with dads…and the day of Andrew’s surgery, so we took her to that and then immediately went to the hospital. Her daddy was not going to miss his donut breakfast with his girl!
And then this pic when I was her mystery reader. Friends, it was the sweetest year!!
She was so proud to show me this pic (also in her goodie bag) that she drew on the first day of school 🙂 .
Pre-K was amazing, but now, it’s time for KINDERGARTEN! Look out elementary school!
And just for fun…
Look at these cuties on their last day of Pre-K too! Sweet Ashby…
…look at this big guy on his last day!! And then, I found these pictures of Kensington on her last day of pre-k too…
…wasn’t that just yesterday?!?
The years are short, friends.
We love you, Madeley Moo! xo

We just did this exact same thing for my son, Caleb, yesterday for pre-K graduation and what’s wrong with me, but I had to cry a little?! When did my baby boy get old enough to go to “big school?” Didn’t I just bring him home from the hospital? I’m pretty sure a side effect of the Rona is a heightened emotional state. Or it may just be lack of oxygen to my brain from having to wear a mask all the time. Regardless, congrats Madeley!!!!! XO

Congrats to Caleb too!!!! They get big SO FAST!!

Yay congratulations Madeley! Is there an update on how madeleys growth is going? Did she ever have her liver and kidneys tested?
Mix and Match Mama says
We’re still working on that…sigh. Her kidneys look great, so we’re back at the liver again.

Before this year, I taughty 37 years, mostly in Kindergarten. I took a 3 day a week position teaching 3/4 year olds at a private Episcopal School here in Knoxville, TN. Today was our last day of virtual classes..yes, for 8 weeks we did it and I am so proud of their hard work. We have our goodbye parade today, and I know there will be tears for sure, as I already started the “ugly cry” online…Way to go sweet Madeley! I have followed your story since the beginning and so proud of you!!
Mix and Match Mama says
Ohhhhhhhh! I can’t imagine how proud you are! I bet you’re an amazing teacher!

Do you have suggestions for a good teacher thank you gift? Is that something you do? My oldest is almost 3 and will be finishing her first year of preschool so this is new to me!!

My favorite teacher gift is something from my friend Amanda’s Etsy shops (like her personalized cups!). She’s “That Inspired Chick”!
