We’ve been making Lucky Charms Treats around here for YEARS! My kiddos always love them because they’re tasty, bright and colorful, and I love how easy they are to make.
Over the last few months, we’ve been finding these…
…at our local grocery store and using them in lieu of the traditional mini marshmallow. They make the bars even more bright and colorful (perfect for both St. Paddy’s Day and Easter!), but if you can’t find them at your store, these bars are still totally delish using regular marshmallows too.
A little repeat recipe for your Tuesday but just in time for Easter weekend. Your little bunnies will love it! xo

Lucky Charms Treats
- Prep Time: 5 minutes
- Total Time: 5 minutes
- Yield: about 8 to 12 bars
Description
Bright, colorful, tasty and full of happiness, these easy little bars are quick to whip up on fun occasions like St. Paddy’s Day and Easter, but delicious enough to want to make all year long.
Ingredients
-
3 tablespoons butter
-
5 cups marshmallows (either mini or the Lucky Charms ones)
-
6 cups Lucky Charms cereal
Instructions
- Spray a non-stick spray in your 8×8 baking dish (you can also line it with foil with some extra hanging out for easy removal and then give a light spray). Set aside.
- Next, in a microwavable bowl, melt your butter (about 30 seconds or so, stopping to stir until melted). Once melted, add in your marshmallows and coat with melted butter. Microwave another minute and a half or so until marshmallows are melted. Remove from microwave and immediately pour over cereal. Mix well and then spread in a greased 8×8 baking dish (for the thick treats, you can use a 9×12 for a more thin bar).
- Spray a spatula with Pam and press it over the top to get the cereal to stay put in the baking dish.
- Let the bars cool in the baking dish about 20 minutes before slicing into them. Cut into squares and enjoy!
Notes
An easy way to line your dish with foil is to flip it over and form the foil to the BACK of your baking dish. Once it’s formed, take it off, flip your pan pack over to the correct side and the foil should fit right inside.
