Happy Thursday, friends!
Today, I’m sharing a little This or That Thursday but with some of my favorite beauty products that I either love so much, I can’t stop buying…or are no longer available so I had to switch this for that.
First up…
…I’ve mentioned this Glamglow Glowstarter Mega Illiuminating Moisturizer (in nude glow) before and as you can see, I LOVE IT! The first time I tried this was because I bought something else and received a free sample. I loved the way it smelled (like an old-fashioned orange creamsicle), but what I loved most was that it’s the perfect primer for my makeup. I don’t believe that’s the intended purpose, but for me, it’s hands down the best “primer” I’ve ever used. I wear this every single day…even on days when I do not wear makeup, I add this moisturizer on top of my “normal” moisturizer. It just gives me that extra bit of hydration and just the right amount of “glow” plus, I truly feel like my foundation, concealer, bronzer, blush, etc stay put longer and look better when I wear it.
Speaking of which…
…this is my Hourglass Seamless Finish Foundation Stick (which you’ve heard me talk about approximately 4 billion times) and as you can see, it’s at the very very end and almost out (that’s why you see the new box behind it!). I have tried a million other foundations that are okay…but this one here is without a doubt the best foundation I’ve ever used and I cannot imagine ever using anything else. I typically only buy one every 9 months or so because they last a long time, but when I do run out and need another one, I don’t even hesitate, I buy this one again (in light beige). I love that you can control how much or little you apply, I love that it travels so easy and I LOVE how it easily blends into my skin. I.LOVE.IT.
Another tried and true favorite? My morning eye cream. I’m on my third jar (I think?) and really think it’s made a HUGE difference in my under eye area. I used to have much darker circles under my eyes, but now that I have religiously used this every morning, I think they’ve reduced and my eye area is much brighter!
Now, a few products, I’ve had to replace recently because they’re no longer available like…
…my beloved Becca Eye Brightener. (Insert big sobs here!!) I have used this stuff for years and years, but Becca has now discontinued it. WAIT! EDIT: Thanks to several of you, I see that Smashbox is now selling the eye brightener. I just bought some to see if it’s the same. Woohoo!! Thank YOU! I asked my sweet friend (and fellow makeup lover!) Shanna what we should use now and she said to try this Magic Vanish Color Corrector in “fair” from Charlotte Tilbury. Now, she said (and I agree) the key is to buy “fair” if you’re looking for a Becca replacement because we use this on top of our normal concealer just in the corners of our eyes to brighten up our face. I’ve been using mine about 10 days now and even though it’s not the same as the Becca, I do really like it and will continue using it daily. First, I apply my normal concealer (this one in 29n) and then I apply just a bit of this to the inside corners of my eyes to make them pop a tad. I do think one big pro to this Magic Vanish is that it’s matte and not dewy, so it blends really easily and is more subtle.
I have been consistent with being inconsistent with what I use on my brows. I love the combo of gel and pencil, but haven’t really found “the right” combo. I started using this gel and this pencil a few weeks ago and love it! I especially like the angle of the pencil. It makes filling in my brows extra easy. I bought them both in the blonde options.
I picked up these two creamy pencils to use as “primers” under my eye shadow and really love them both! I couldn’t decide which one I loved more, so I bought both neutral colors to color on my lids…
…they’re pretty, they go on smooth (a sharpener is included with each one) and they keep my eye shadows/eye liner from creasing, moving, and fading away during the day…
…they come in so many different colors (even mini ones!), but I bought them in angel (right) and nudity (left) for more neutral shades since I’m using them under other eye makeup.
And finally…
…it’s really hard to find my white eyeliner that I use on my waterline these days (some of you tell me that it’s next to impossible…it’s Lancome in blanc), so I have been using this one from Urban Decay as a sub. I honestly cannot tell the difference, so if you can’t find the Lancome either, this one is for you!
That’s a little This or That Beauty!
I don’t know about you, but trying new beauty products just never gets old for me 🙂 . Speaking of which, if you wrap it in holiday packaging and give it a seasonal twist, I’m all over it…
Have a great Thursday, friends! I’ll see you tomorrow!

Good morning! A couple questions:
1. Do you add the eye brightener with a brush or your finger?
2. Can you link your makeup sponge for us again?
Thanks!! Praying for your family and the loss of Mimi. She sounds like such a wonderful influence and a great role model for everyone she knew.

I use my fingers and use a tarte or Beauty Blender sponge. And THANK YOU! She was one in a million, and we miss her very much.

So it’s not exactly white, but Tarte has an eye liner called Fake Awake that I use to open and brighten my eyes. Been using it for years and really like it.

Sephora is actually selling the Becca under eye brightener – it’s being sold by Smashbox, but just search “Smashbox X Becca” and it will come up!

The Becca products will be back! They were bought by another beauty brand! (I can’t think of the name right now.)

Hmmm now I’m going to have to Google how /why to use white eyeliner. 🙂 I’ve never used that before.

I love your beauty recommendations!
I hate buying something and not liking it, so I always count on you to tell me what’s great and then go buy it!!

Seeing a few empty (or almost empty) products in the post makes me wonder if you know about Nordstrom collab with Terracycle? They have a box in the cosmetics department for you to drop in your empty skincare, makeup, etc products to be properly recycled for free! I just keep a box in my vanity drawer and drop off what I have collected on my next Nordstrom visit.
Mix and Match Mama says
Love this! Thank you for the tip, Adriana!!!
