Madeley’s Disney World Birthday PART ONE

Ohhhhhh!  It’s a big day in blog world!

As I make my way home from London today, I’m sharing all the details AND PODCAST EPISODE about Madeley’s 7th birthday trip to Walt Disney World!

Woohoo!!!!

But first, let me back up…on October 19th (Madeley’s 7th birthday), Erika and I surprised Mades and Britt with a birthday trip to Walt Disney World!  In the past, all of the other combinations of kiddos have had special trips, so we thought it was high time the littlest girls did too.  We had the BEST time!  I’m not exactly sure what happened and why we didn’t blog about it back then (bad timing with my trip to Vermont, then Halloween, then the holidays…I really don’t know?!), but so many of you requested that we get to these recaps ASAP, so here you go.  BUT we didn’t just blog about our trip, today on…

…we are BREAKING DOWN DISNEY WORLD!  Yup, yup!  Another big request from you to us was to please explain why you should use our agency to book your Walt Disney World vacation.  We received this question so many times, so we made an episode breaking down the ins and outs of Mix and Match Travel Agency (not just about Disney but about all of our services).  I felt kind of weird recording it (because I didn’t want it to sound like a commercial), but due to the high volume of questions, Erika and I knew this was something you realllllly wanted us to break down.  Thus, an episode was born. So…it’s a double dose of Disney today 🙂 .

First up, a recap of PART ONE of our special birthday trip…

On the morning of Madeley’s 7th birthday, our little family all woke her up bright and early singing Happy Birthday and letting her know that mommy was taking her to Disney World with her BFF!  She was so surprised and SO excited!!  It made me so happy to see how excited all of the kids were to give her this big news!  It was such a sweet moment!  Erika and I had ordered Etsy shirts that were all very fall and very Walt Disney World, so we got dressed, picked up our friends and headed straight to the airport!

We boarded our flight and a quick three hours later, we landed and went straight to our resort to check in…

…Madeley’s birthday was timed perfectly with the 50th Anniversary Celebration of Walt Disney World!

For this trip, we stayed at the Beach Club Resort.  We couldn’t wait to check out our room…

We had things to do, so after we put down our luggage, we got a quick snack and headed straight to…

…Animal Kingdom for the first half of our day!

I told Andrew that I’ve never traveled with better companions.  These two were just S-W-E-E-T-N-E-S-S the entire time!

Hi, we’re Erika and Shay and we geek-out over Walt Disney World every single time.  There is a reason we create the most magical Disney vacations, WE ARE DISNEY OBSESSED PEOPLE!  Every single time we go, we get giddy like it’s our first time!

Madeley was living her best birthday.  A flight, a hotel and lots of rides with mama!!

We had a blast doing the safari together too…

Now, this wasn’t our girls’ first time to visit Walt Disney World, so we tried to think a little outside of the box when it came to dining.  Our agency creates custom itineraries for everyone, so just because we eat somewhere, doesn’t mean that’s where you should eat.  For this trip, we decided to celebrate Madeley’s birthday dinner at…

…Tusker House in Animal Kingdom!  Look at that smile!!

This was such a fun spot because at every seating, you get to see Mickey and friends!  Even though the characters are socially distant now, it didn’t feel like they were far away.  Everyone stayed seated while they danced around, paused at each table, blew kisses and waved hello.

After dinner, we decided to try some more rides…

…and wrapped up our afternoon at Animal Kingdom before…

…heading over to Magic Kingdom for their Boo Bash Halloween party!  We had purchased tickets in advance to attend their after hours Halloween party and let me just say, IT WAS THE MOST FUN I’VE EVER HAD AT WALT DISNEY WORLD!!!  Not only was the park decked out in all things fall, but once the party started, the crowd had to leave unless they had tickets, so there were hardly any lines, lots of time to ride rides, special parades, and a ton of free food!  It was a BLAST!

We arrived a little early to check it out before the party started.  It was gorgeous with all the fall decorations!

Once the party started, the park emptied out and we rode SO MANY RIDES!!  Teacups, anyone?

It was a blur of fun 🙂 .  They had free popcorn, sodas, water, ice cream…so much free food ready and waiting for you.  We were literally laughing and running from one thing to the next. With an empty park, there was just so much to fit in!!

A villain parade?  Yes, please!

Seriously, I think we finished the party at midnight, but all four of us could have stayed longer.  We had a BLAST!

The best 7th birthday for our sweet Madeley James!!  It was an epic day 🙂 .
