Happy Monday, friends!
Well, my boys went snowboarding again this weekend and are due back later today…and the girls are all home from school in honor of President’s Day, so that means, I better scoot (as my grandmother would say) because I have three girls to hang with right now!
I’m sharing a little life lately for your Monday though!
(Please note: I do have four children but one child is never standing long enough for a photo…sigh…)
After school snack date with these cuties. We were supposed to have gone to the park with friends after school, but it rained, so we went to Starbucks instead. Geez, I love them.
I call this…Mades on a Monday. 😉
Little Miss is our little creative cutie! She is always drawing, coloring and painting. She’s recently discovered that she can ask our Echo Show how to draw things and then learn step by step. She will spend hours sitting here learning how to draw mermaids, princesses and fairies. She is constantly being creative.
Valentine’s Day at school was so much fun! These two were so excited for their class parties!
Speaking of which, I’m Mades’ class mom and was able to volunteer during her party. We had the best time!
One of my dad’s friends sent the girls a gift for the New Year. Ashby and Mades were so excited to receive them. Seriously, people are SO thoughtful!!!
Andrew was out of town last week and one night, after my shower, I came out to find this. Two girls, one dog…how can I say no to this?
And finally, it was Kensington’s last basketball game of the year the other night. You guys, we are so proud of this girl! She wanted to play basketball so badly and Andrew and I kept telling her no (because she is already committed to so many other things and has never played/practiced/shown interest/knew the rules), but for about two months, she talked non-stop about how she wanted to try…so we caved the night before tryouts. She tried out, she made one of their teams and ROCKED IT!!! I mean…we were blown away! She ended the season scoring more points for her team than any other player BUT what we were so proud of most of all was HOW MUCH FUN SHE HAD DOING SOMETHING NEW! Seriously, life lesson over here for Andrew and me…we need to lean into our kids’ crazy ideas sometimes and let them explore other options. Will she keep playing basketball later in life? Probably not (she said as much fun as it was, it was very time consuming), but she had a crazy fun season, and Andrew and I could not have been more proud.
That’s it!
I’m off now to enjoy my Monday home with my girls!
I hope you have a great day! I’ll see you tomorrow! xx

I came to make the same suggestion about Art for Kids Hub. As for the girls and dog in the bed, I wouldn’t be able to say mo unless there was no room for me.
BF says
I agree, check out Art For Kids Hub on You Tube, my kids love it! I bet yours would too! Well, Madely anyways. But it’s fun for anyone!

Clothes suggestion for Kensington… shein… it’s cheap, it’s trendy, some of it is a big ole no but there are some classic pieces that she might love, are they timeless pieces no are they going to last forever no but she will probably love the trendy not shop in your mamas / sisters store!

Loved this little slice of your family’s life.

That is so sweet of your dad’s friend. I am Chinese American and teach 3 yr old preschool. For Chinese New Year I gave all my students a red lucky envelope with a gold foiled chocolate coin inside…they loved it.
