Witch’s Brew Hot Chocolate {in the slow cooker}
- Prep Time: 5 minutes
- Total Time: 5 minutes
- Yield: this serves a crowd!
Description
A fun and festive slow cooker beverage for all of your little ghosts and goblins on Halloween!
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 (14 oz) cans of sweetened condensed milk
- 2 (12 oz) bags of white chocolate chips
- 1 gallon of milk (I used 2%)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- green food coloring
- whipped cream to garnish, optional
- Marshmallows to garnish, optional (we used pumpkin spice marshmallows)
Instructions
-
In your slow cooker, layer in your sweetened condensed milk and white chocolate chips. Turn slow cooker to high and stir every 15 minutes for the first 30 minutes (this will help it melt faster). Once your chocolate chips have melted, whisk in your milk and vanilla.
-
Next, whisk in a few drops of green food coloring until you reach your desired color.
-
Cover and continue to cook on high as you serve this cocoa for the next 3 to 4 hours.
-
Continue to stir periodically. Garnish with whipped cream and marshmallows.
-
That’s it! Keep it cooking on high so that it stays warm as guests enjoy it.

I love Mexican hot chocolate and make it in my crock pot. Can’t wait to make the first batch of the season. Will give this recipe a try, too. Might make it for my in-laws when we visit them in a few weeks. Sounds delicious.
