PrintPecan Praline Baked Brie
- Total Time: 30 minutes
- Yield: 1 wheel of Brie
Description
An easy and delicious recipe for any holiday gathering!
Ingredients
-
1 (8 oz) wheel of brie
-
2 cups pecan pieces, lightly toasted
-
1 tablespoon light corn syrup
-
4 tablespoons butter
-
1/4 cup dark brown sugar
-
1/4 cup sugar
-
1/3 cup half and half or heavy whipping cream
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
-
Remove the brie from any packaging and place it directly on your pie plate (leave the rind on the cheese). Bake brie 12 to 15 minutes.
-
Meanwhile, in a clean, dry skillet over medium-high heat, toast up your pecan pieces. This should only take about 3 or 4 minutes. Remove from heat after they’re toasted.
-
At the same time, in a small saucepan over medium-high heat, melt your corn syrup, butter, brown sugar and sugar, stirring constantly for about 4 minutes or until bubbly. Add in your half and half and continue to stir another 2 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to cool about 5 minutes.
-
Remove brie from oven. Sprinkle toasted pecan pieces down over the top of the brie and then pour warm toffee sauce over everything.
-
Serve immediately with crackers, fruit, graham crackers, gingersnaps, pita chips or anything else delectable to be dipped.

Do you have any suggestions for a replacement for the corn syrup?
Mix and Match Mama says
I really like corn syrup in this recipe because that’s what gives it the praline topping. You could swap for a honey or maple syrup, just know that it won’t bind nearly as well. (It will be delicious though!)

Which fruit would you recommend to go with this?
Mix and Match Mama says
I love pear slices the most!
