Good morning, friends! Happy Friday!
It’s been an emotional week, so I’m very happy to see it come to an end. Yesterday was BEAUTIFUL! My dad, brother and hubby did an amazing job eulogizing my grandfather. The service was exactly what he would have wanted (funny, filled with memories and pointing people to the Cross).
As always, I’m linking up with my friends Andrea and Erika .
I hope you all have a very blessed weekend! xx
The perfect February sweater 🙂 . It comes in SEVENTEEN other colors too but this “dark pink” spoke right to my soul.
Speaking of Amazon tops I’m loving, I wore this one to dinner the other night…
…how cute, right?! This top also comes in many other colors too! Also, my clogs are HERE 🙂 .
After 3½ days of not leaving the house due to ice, we were super anxious to get out on Friday afternoon…
…this girl bounced down the stairs and told me she was “dressed like you, mama”. Oh my heart.
On Saturday afternoon, we stumbled upon one of those Sprinkles Cupcakes vending machines, so I bought one and then when I looked back, I saw this…
…two peas in a pod 🙂 .
A rainy and wet workday means that I watch two of my all time favorite movies E-V-E-R while I work!
First up…
…Bridget Jone’s Diary followed by…
…Crazy Rich Asians. They are both in my TOP FIVE FAVES OF ALL TIME and both have excellent soundtracks to enjoy while working.
You all know that I love Evereve!
Here are a few tops I’ve been wearing and loving from them so far this year…
On Tuesday night, Andrew and I had dinner with friends on our town square. THIS SWEATER was SO CUTE!!! It’s so soft like a sweatshirt but made like a sweater. I love it!
And you’ve seen THIS SWEATER on me several times. I wore this exact outfit again on Monday when I spoke to a group of women at a church.
I loved wearing THIS BLOUSE from Evereve in Honfleur…
…and then, of course, this PULLOVER too 🙂 .
While we had a little ice last week in McKinney, my boys…
…enjoyed a whole lot of snow in Whistler, Canada!
Smith and Andrew headed to ski/board with their besties Tab and Nixon for Smith’s 13th birthday!
They had the BEST time! This was their sixth year in a row to head to the mountains for Smith’s birthday. It’s always one of their very favorite weekends of the whole year.
Speaking of Smith’s birthday…
…we added another sign to our birthday sign wall!
I’ve been blogging about this now for 14 years…but every year on my kiddos’ birthdays, we add a sign to our wall that describes that year’s celebration. Sweet Amy (who has made every single sign) continues to blow my mind with her creativity. Think about it, this was her sixth snowboarding birthday sign to make, and it’s just so fabulous!
Here is a pic of the rest…
This area of our house makes me oh so happy.
Finally, it’s my annual COZY VALENTINE’S DINNER FOR TWO menu! This year, you can mix and match the perfect (and easy!) menu including cocktails, apps, salads, mains and desserts. See them all HERE.
Have a wonderful weekend! I’ll see you all back here on Monday! xx

What was your speaking engagement on at church and was it by chance recorded? Would love to you hear you, you are so motivating. Thanks for doing what you do for us ladies!

It was at a moms gathering, and no, it was not. I do these from time to time. I always love talking to young mamas about the Lord and motherhood.

Madeley looks so grown up in that pic on the stairs! . I’ve been thinking about you this week and praying for you and your family. Have a great weekend Shay!

The birthday signs are so fun! And I’m sure they easily remind you of what the child was into at the time and the theme of the birthday party. Those would be a life long treasure. And praying for you and your family and the loss of your grandpa. It’s never easy to say goodbye. It sounds like he lived a wonderful faith filled life. What a gift and legacy he left. Continued thoughts and prayers.

I thought about you all day yesterday as you were remembering your grandpa. I know he lived a full life and is in a far better place, but the grief that comes with saying goodbye for now is so heavy. My grandfather-in-law passed away three years ago this Sunday and we still get teary eyed when we talk about him. These guys just leave a huge hole when they are so precious to us. 💜
Mix and Match Mama says
Oh thank you, sweet Dana!

Awwww! It’s so cute, right? I have no clue where it came from as I do believe it’s one of Kensington’s from when she was little.

Fun Birthday Signs! Will Ashby be doing a special trip with your parents now that she’s 10?
Mix and Match Mama says
She will! She’s very excited!
Kara says
Love the signs! Will you keep them all or pass them on to each kiddo as they leave the nest?
Mix and Match Mama says
I haven’t thought that far. I was probably going to keep them, but I would certainly pass them on should anyone want them.
