You guys, I made myself the yummiest lunch the other day and had to share.
This isn’t a recipe…it’s just an idea.
I was home alone eating lunch on a school day and decided to take some of the things in my fridge and create a Ham, Swiss & Apple Grilled Cheese. It took no time at all and was absolutely delicious!
Should you find yourself with these ingredients today, I highly recommend you whip one up too.
Lunch doesn’t have to be boring, friends! Enjoy! xx

Ingredients
- sandwich bread or a burger bun (I used gluten-free Trader Joe’s burger buns)
- fresh basil
- sliced Swiss cheese
- sliced deli ham
- about three thin slices of apple (I used Granny Smith’s)
- a little Dijon mustard (I used a horseradish version)
Instructions
- Preheat your grill pan or panini press (we have an old Hamilton Beach panini press that we use).
- Build your sandwich: bread, basil, Swiss, ham, apple, and mustard.
- Grill to perfection and serve.

This was my FAVORITE lunch during quarantine, but I added caramelized onions! ❤️

Made this for supper earlier. I make grilled cheese /grilled sandwiches often, but had never thought of adding apple. Soo GOOD!!! Perfect for the upcoming Fall season.
