Happy happy Tuesday, friends!
Just as a reminder, my 30% off code with Colleen Rothschild is STILL active! Just use code SHAY30 for 30% off site wide on everything 🙂 .
I, of course….
…had some of my favorites with me in Prague which is a lovely (and easy!) segue to today’s post!
You guys, WE HAD THE BEST TIME IN PRAGUE last week.
I mean to tell you, Andrew and I always love traveling together, but Prague exceeded all of our expectations. I’m not even sure why because I’ve never met anyone who’s been there who hasn’t gushed and raved about it, but nevertheless, it did.
As always, I have a recap for you. I apologize in advance for the pics…let’s be real, when you’re not traveling with your kiddos, it’s hard to grab photos of humans 😉 .
We left on Sunday night and arrived in Prague on Monday evening…
…we stayed at the Four Seasons, and it was beautiful and in the perfect location.
After showers and fresh clothes (after 24 hours, we were super happy to get cleaned up!)…
…we headed off to dinner. Of course, I’m wearing my FAVORITE BLACK JEANS (25% off right now!) with THIS TOP.
For our first dinner in Prague, we had the most delicious meal…
…right here on the river in this boat restaurant. You guys, Marina Ristorante was AMAZING!! The food, the service and the views were unbelievable.
This was the view from our table 🙂 .
We were super tired, but so hungry and very excited to be in Prague. The food did not disappoint!
We took in the views after dinner and headed straight to sleep.
The next morning, it was up and at ’em…
…I packed really, really simply for this trip…only black. This kept things so easy for me! I’m wearing THOSE JEANS again the next morning with THIS SUPER SOFT SWEATER and my WATERPROOF CHELSEA BOOTS (that were so comfy!!).
The weather was sunny and cold (my favorite combo!) and the foliage was absolutely STUNNING. You know how much I adore a fall leaf, and honest to goodness, I don’t believe I’ve ever, ever seen Europe more gorgeous. We accidentally nailed the weather and the leaves.
Andrew and I headed out for a full day exploring Prague…
We started by heading to the Old Town Square…
We arrived right at 10:00 to see the Astronomical Clock in all it’s amazing glory “perform”.
We weren’t the only ones 😉 .
We stopped at an outdoor café in the square…
…for coffee and people watching…
…then we had our first of MANY tredelniks!
Okay, it’s like a cinnamon sugar soft pretzel/roll/sweet bread thing that you can get plain (as was our first one) or filled with Nutella, ice cream, apples…the list is very long. WE WERE QUICKLY FANS!
We toured, we went into both the Gothic Church of Our Lady Before Tyn and St. Nicholas Church (photos not permitted in either)…
…and truly walked and walked and walked the streets on this side of Prague…
Because we’re suckers for pub food (as you know!), we stopped at Caffrey’s…
…and devoured our lunch.
We were saving that side of Prague for Day #3, but we certainly enjoyed the views.
My photos DO NOT do this justice. The trees were ON FIRE with fall foliage.
You guys…
…we walked over 20,000 steps on this day.
We stopped for drinks at the famous Hemingway Bar. We sat right at the bar and chatted with the bartender who might have been one of my favorite people from Prague. He was so informative, knowledgeable and truly made that cozy little experience even more magical.
We headed back to freshen up before dinner…
A bodysuit with THOSE BLACK CORDS I love…
…before our traditional (and delicious!) Czech dinner at Mlynec.
And that’s PART ONE!
Don’t forget, my travel agency would LOVE TO SEND YOU TO PRAGUE too!!!! You guys, it was just stunning. Wait until you see Parts 2 and 3!
See you all tomorrow! xx

Prague is my favorite city! I was so lucky to spend four months there studying abroad in college and then my husband and I traveled there in May for our honeymoon! It made me so happy when I saw that’s where you were!
Mix and Match Mama says
How fortunate were you?! That’s amazing!
Sheaffer says

What a great first few days! So you have all your places to eat already picked out or do you choose as you go?

We had dinner reservations each night and then our eyes on a few other spots (like that Hemmingway bar).
Talia says
What beautiful pictures! How long was your flight, please? Thanks!
Mix and Match Mama says
We flew from DFW to London (about 8ish hours) and then from London to Prague (only 2 hours!).

I love that you and Andrew take the trips, mark places off your list and enjoy every moment! Thank you for sharing, Prague is beautiful!!
Angela says
Love this! Looks like you and Andrew had an amazing trip!! A couple of questions… what made you pick Prague? Any movies or books entice you to visit this beautiful place? And can you share a link or info to the black boots you’re wearing the first night in the hotel room photo? I love those!!
Mix and Match Mama says
It’s just always been on our list. We’ve been all over Europe (even to Slovakia) but never to the Czech Republic. Those boots are really good…but unfortunately, they’re old. I’m sorry!

Prague is on my bucket list. We are going next Fall! Love your photos.
Whitney says
Such a wonderful trip! How did you pack your hat for your trip or did you bring/wear on the plane? I have a wonderful travel hat box, but trying to eliminate the extra bag.
Mix and Match Mama says
I just add it to my suitcase and put packing cubes around it. Easy as that!
Kacey says
I LOVE your travel posts!!! I’m always adding places, restaurants, activities, etc. to my “bucket list” and Prague is officially added! Can’t wait for part 2!

A car service 🙂 .

Great pics. Looks beautiful. When will the bestie breakdown return
Mix and Match Mama says
I think we have retired from it. We’ve decided to focus our energies and efforts on work and just being able to hang out as friends without fussing over the podcast.

I always wonder how easy certain places are to navigate if you only speak English?
Mix and Match Mama says
In Europe (especially in the big cities), it’s really, really easy. In fact, most things are even printed in their native language and then English as well.
Jen says
What a great city! Looks so fun. Is there a bigger language barrier there or similar with how the rest of Europe is?
Mix and Match Mama says
It really, really was! We did not encounter a language barrier while we were there.
Joanne says
It sounds wonderful!

As active as you and your husband are, do you ever battle not been able to move on such long flights? Any suggestions if you feel the need to move after a while of sitting?
Mix and Match Mama says
No, I think we both find it a little refreshing to just sit and relax after being on the go so much. I think there’s nothing wrong though with getting up and moving, stretching a bit and such if you’re on a long flight.
Jaren says
Those photos were gorgeous, so I can imagine in real life, it must have been breathtaking!

I’ll be in Prague in 10 days and this makes me so excited! Can’t wait to read about the rest of your trip…your Instagram stories made me decide to spend some time in Český Krumlov as well!
Kacy M says
Went to Prague back in April and loved it! Definitely overlooked and a hidden gem. Your posts had me reminiscing about the goulash and architecture there!
Mix and Match Mama says
AMAZING, RIGHT?!
