Hey, hey Thursday!
Our short and sweet little trip to the Bahamas last week wraps up today with a short and sweet blog post about it 🙂 .
If you missed PART ONE, make sure you catch that HERE as well!
In the meantime, today is Madeley’s last day of school, so I am off to do all the fun “last day” things with my littlest.
LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!
Can you believe it?!
One down, three more to go and then we are officially in summer mode. I can hardly contain my enthusiasm, y’all.
PART TWO starts now…
I woke up on this last full day of vacation and thoroughly enjoyed my morning walk with a side of cruise ship. You know how passionate I am about spotting a boat. Just seeing it out there made me want to go back to my laptop and book my own cruise.
Around 9:00 AM, Andrew and I headed to the marina because we had a private little boat to show us around Paradise Island for a few hours. We didn’t feel like we had time to go far (as our trip was so short), but we wanted to see something off island which made this little morning excursion perfect.
Our captain and first mate took us out of the harbor and showed us around a bit…
We saw beautiful little islands, gorgeous seaside homes, and a few fun fish along the way.
We also stopped and saw…
…I mean, I have no words.
I could not stop laughing.
I mean…I’m still laughing.
After piggy island, we hopped back on the boat…
…checked out some more fun sea life (I see you, stingray!)…
…we cruised around a bit more…
…and then they dropped us right off so we could walk back to our resort. We parked ourselves for the rest of the day and enjoyed our final hours in paradise.
We had the best time in the Bahamas. It was short, sweet, and gorgeous.
Today, I am also sharing my SIX FAVORITE FINDS FROM THE BAHAMAS as well my new RASPBERRY PECAN CORNBREAD PANZANELLA SALAD (it’s so good!).
We would love to connect with you about your next vacation too! No extra service fees, only very personal service from people who LOVE to travel. You can contact us HERE about international destinations, cruises, Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Hawaii and of course, gorgeous tropical spots.
That’s it for today. Have the best best day, friends! xx

What a beautiful boat ride. I’ve been to paradise island twice and I’ve seen stingrays both times. Such a beautiful place. Happy summer to your “little” one!!

I’m not a big salad eater, but that Raspberry Pecan Cornbread Salad sounds DELICIOUS! I’m going to have to try it!

Wow can’t believe it is the last day of school, so interesting to see how much the school schedule differs across the country! Would you rather your kids be on the New England schedule where they get out in late June and go back after Labor Day as opposed to the Texas schedule? Here in North Carolina ours in between (get out about June 10th and go back August 25th)

I personally would prefer if they went back in September because it is just too hot here in the summer for their “fall” activities to start. Right now, it’s pretty gorgeous here, so they can still go outside at school for recess/PE/athletics, but in August, it will be too hot, so the state will require they stay indoors (for good reason). I think it makes way more sense based on our weather to go back later…but no one (besides you) is asking my opinion 😉 .

Ok, so after all of the tropical travel you’ve done do you have a “favorite” tropical stop that you would/ have returned to? St. John looked incredible but so does the Bahamas and I LOVE Hawaii so how on earth do you choose!?
Mix and Match Mama says
It’s impossible to pick! God made too many beautiful places 🙂 . I think there are many pros to each (it’s easier for us to get to Nassau than most Caribbean islands), but I loved the mountains in St. Thomas, I loved the private/very chill vibe of St. John (and then there are so many other places I could go on about). The good news is that I haven’t been to a “bad” island. 🙂

Love your bikini top. I think you’ve shared where it’s from before, but I can’t find it. Still have that link handy? Thank you!

I love it too and have it in so many different colors. It’s my favorite style. It’s here: https://shopstyle.it/l/cqi3L

Am I the only one who seems to be missing something? What is funny about the pigs? Whatever it is, glad you had fun!
Mix and Match Mama says
You typically see so many of them out in the water living their best beach Bahamian life…we stumbled on like three who were parked by a picnic table about 150 yards away from the water. It wasn’t exactly the same experience 😉 .

Our family vacations in the Exumas every summer. One summer while visiting Pig Island my MIL had food and did not drop it fast enough. One came up from behind and snipped her right on the rear end. 🤪 We opt to stay in the boat now and they swim up to us to get food haha 😎

Oh my gosh!
