I decided it was time for a little “refresh” in my kitchen as well. May I present to you my “before”…
…sigh. Every time I open this drawer, it makes me cringe. I decided enough was enough and…
…I emptied the entire drawer out, washed it with soap and water, purged what I no longer needed, put away things I don’t use regularly and added a BAMBOO FLATWARE ORGANIZER along with a new 65-PIECE STAINLESS STEEL FLATWARE SET. Talk about a refresh! After 21 years of marriage, it was certainly about time to replace the flatware instead of scrounging together a very eclectic mix of pieces accumulated over time.
How much better does that look? And how nice to sit down and enjoy a meal with matching flatware! Amazing!
I am almost too embarrassed to show you our “everyday” cup collection, but it CERTAINLY needed a refresh too!

How many days would you say your kids can pack in the carry on? My 10 year old son needs a luggage refresh and trying to decide on what size or a set. Apparently he’s too grown up for monogrammed pbk with Dino’s now 🙂

Madeley packed for six days in hers when she went to Hawaii! My kids took them back and forth from Nantucket this summer…which they don’t need as much (because so much stays there), but I would say even my bigs got at least three days worth inside.

Oh I have followed you way to long to believe that was the way your silverware drawer looked! Ha! Love the refresh! I need to know what happens to spoons. They are like socks in my house, they are always disappearing!

It’s been two weeks of sitting down with matching flatware and cups and we feel SO fancy. I once was a nanny for a family and the mom told me that couples should have wedding showers every 10 years to refresh. I didn’t get it at the time, but I now think that’s brilliant! Bahaha!

Yay for a flatware refresh! We bought a new set from Costco back in October and I’ve LOVED opening that drawer each day since. However, I now count each piece when I put them away and let me just say that by February we were already missing a spoon. Sigh. #nineteenyearoldboy

I totally get the need for new flatware. My set was from every bit of mid-1980s. I finally got new after Christmas with giftcards (for the win!) …. so why do I still have the old in a box “just in case?” I think it’s time to let the old stuff go!
