Mades needed to go to Hobby Lobby to get supplies to build a project for school. While we were there, I purchased a few festive things…

…these very festive scissors (I thought they’d make me enjoy wrapping more 😉 )…
…and I bought that red Merry Christmas mat too. ‘Tis the season for alllllll my favorite things at Hobby Lobby!
Mades and I have been listening to Carpooling with Jesus every day on our way to school. It’s a five minute little daily devotional podcast, and we love it! Each day, they have a new kid-appropriate topic, and it’s really generated some great conversations after we listen and drive to school. If you have kiddos in the car with you, I highly recommend.
When both of your kids’ high schools are red…
…you wear your FAVORITE DRESS and just swap our your ball cap! I know, I know, I know that I talk about these dresses all the time, but they are so comfortable, wash and dry to perfection, can be layered, and dressed up or down.
On Thursday, I wore this all day from morning pep rally to evening football game, I was cute, comfy and in red.
Bonus, they’re on sale now in all colors (I have it in four different colors!). Love.

Our local towns do a Halloween trail and post about it for you to follow where local people have decorations up. So fun. We will be making a trip to a few places to, but one we go to has like 80 blowups!!!

Is it Poppy or Frenchie that Kensington is closest to? I never considered myself a dog person but my son talked me into a mini Goldendoodle and wouldn’t ya know, little Eleanor is my new favorite side kick. Ha! It’s so sneaky how pups work their way so deep into your heart. 😂😂

I’ve. taken your advice and now I reserve one day each weekend to just chill, take a walk, read, knit, whatever. But no stress or hurry to do anything and no commitments. I feel that I run all week between work and home and boxing five days a week and I need one day a week for me. To just be.

I saw another mom in my neighborhood wearing it on Thursday, and she said the same thing. I was legit wearing the dark red and she was wearing the navy. Bahaha! We both were so happy in our dresses!

I also really enjoy the podcast Kids Bible Stories when I’m riding along with my littles. They have dialogue with audio bites of children answering questions which I think my kids listen for.

Hobby Lobby reels me in every time with all the festive! The decorations and Mom & Popcorn are adorable! I wish we had a Mom & Popcorn store in our town. When I visited McKinney a few years back, it was so fun!
