Here’s a little assortment of what we did this week + a bit of festive fun.
Cheers to the last week of school before Winter Break!
On Friday night, we had a VERY festive night with our besties…
…and we even found a “photo station” to document it 😉 .
Our first stop was Legacy West (the lights were so pretty), but then, we had dinner reservations at…
…Suburban Yacht Club which was DECKED for the holiday season…
…I mean, how much fun were their cups?! My drink came in Mrs. Claus in a bikini. Bahaha!
It was SUCH a fun night with our favorite friends.
The next morning, these two…
…requested a trip to the donut shop and on our way there, look what we saw…
…always magical in McKinney. (Side note, the balloon’s proximity to the powerlines were making me nervous!).
On Saturday late morning/afternoon, I got control of my life…
Here is the “before” and thankfully…
…here is the “after” 🙂 .
Whew.
I can breathe again.
Later that night, it was MY FAVORITE NIGHT OF THE YEAR IN MCKINNEY!
It was our annual Light Parade!
McKinney is by no means a small town any more…it is a big bustling suburban city (population 200k+), but our downtown light parade still feels very “small town McKinney”.
We met the Slaughters beforehand and then walked over and staked out our spot for the parade…
…all lit up and ready to go!
Love this guy.
We were very merry 🙂 .
As you know, Erika is VP of Operations at Mix and Match Travel Agency and heads up our Disney Vacation department.
Well, look who else we ran into…
…this is Mackenzie (the marketing manager for Mix and Match Travel Agency) and Caroline (the Mix and Match Travel Agency office manager…which means, she’s the real boss around here 😉 ) . I love seeing these ladies with their sweet husbands and combined six kiddos.

We wrapped up our night with a big “framily” dinner at Cadillac Pizza Pub. Goodness, I love Christmastime!

Hi Shay – We were in McKinney the first weekend of December for a wedding and were thoroughly impressed! I expected small town, but was shocked by how busy and walkable it was! We had breakfast at Spoons 2 mornings, lunch at Local Yocal and a Friday night event at the Landon Winery. What a fun weekend. The shops and restaurants are adorable. Such a fun time and town!!

I was going to comment on the power lines. We love when we can see balloons. The powered paragliders are around us on calm days in warm weather 😆 (we have been in the teens). We go out and wave to them. One came so low to us we could see the person smiling…we were amazed!! Have a great week!!!
