Eeeeeeks! You guys! TODAY IS THE DAY!!
SHEAFFER AND I ARE SO EXCITED!!
It’s one of my very favorite blogging days each year!
Once again, today, we are celebrating YOU (our amazing blog readers!), and we’re also going to try and raise A TON OF MONEY FOR CHILDRENS CANCER RESEARCH!
If you’re new around here, every year, Sheaffer and I team up to give a great big thanks to YOU our readers for being so sweet, so kind, so loyal and so wonderful to us all year long. It’s an opportunity for us to celebrate this community and how appreciative we are for each of you.
We always aim to make this week big. Gigantic. Huge. AMAZING.
Last year, though, we decided to make it EPIC and while celebrating all of you, we also all came together and raised $79,493 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®!
$79,493!
It’s been a year now, and I’m still IN SHOCK by how awesome all of you are who helped us do this last year. This year though, it’s our TENTH YEAR IN A ROW to celebrate the season with you, so of course, we can’t let A DECADE of fabulousness go by and not make it even MORE AMAZING.
So, on this, OUR 10TH YEAR, one lucky recipient will receive our amazing prize valued at over $2000 (more on that in a minute), but this year, we want to join together to hopefully raise $100,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®!
$100,000
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
It’s a huge amount, but if you don’t know about this amazing hospital, let’s get you filled in: The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family’s ability to pay.
The St. Jude purpose is clear: Finding cures. Saving children.®
Not only that, but treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent since it opened more than 50 years ago. So not only are children being treated for free, they are actually receiving the absolute best care possible. And St. Jude won’t stop until no child dies from cancer.
God bless these people and their mission.
Here’s how it’s going to work this year…
Sheaffer and I are giving away one Goyard Saint Louis GM tote to one generous donor (a prize valued at $2000). The random name selected will be announced here on our blogs THIS FRIDAY, DECEMBER 9TH. This is just our way to bless one blog reader this holiday season.
Okay but how does this fit in with St. Jude?
Donating to St. Jude via this link will give you THE chance to be the lucky recipient of our Giveaway.
One lucky lady is going to get a TOTE (in her preferred color), and St. Jude families are going to benefit greatly from all of YOUR generosity.
Here are the simple steps:
1. Go HERE and make a secure donation on our St. Jude donation page by Thursday night at 11:59 p.m. CST.
2. Our contact at St. Jude will choose a random name from all of the donations (made via this link), and we will announce the recipient on Friday’s blog post.
It’s one simple and FABULOUS way to celebrate the holidays!
When you visit THIS LINK, you’ll see donation buttons for $30 and up, but there is also an “OTHER” button. The OTHER button can be used to for donations starting at just $10.
Ten dollars is the minimum donation that the page will accept, and every single donation will be so appreciated! In order to have a chance to be the lucky recipient of our prize, your donation needs to be made by 11:59 p.m. CST on Thursday, December 8th. A $10 minimum for TEN AWESOME YEARS CELEBRATING YOU!
Last year, we heard from several of you that your employers are matching your donation. If you think that’s the case with your employer too, please ask! That was so amazing last year!
Friends, thank you, thank you, thank you in advance for your generosity for this campaign and your support during the year. Sheaffer and I realize that $100,000 is a lofty goal, but we are certain that this community will come together to give to this very worthy cause.
Each donation (no matter the amount) will have the same chance of being gifted the prize. We are so confident that all of you will make this fundraiser extra FABULOUS!
I shared this last year, but I really wanted to share it again as I’m such a visual person, and this next graphic really helped me grasp how St. Jude is truly changing the lives of children with pediatric cancers…
…look at those amounts! A donation of $250, for example, helps provide a meal card for a St. Jude family for one week. These donations matter! They are helping these patients and their families in every possible way.
Now, check out this graphic here…
…isn’t that amazing?! I am absolutely blown away by these numbers here!
Let’s celebrate the season–and you amazing readers– while also blessing these precious kids and their families too!
I watched this video here at my desk about the global impact of St. Jude and sobbed my eyes out…
…what they’re doing, what donors like YOU are doing, are saving lives all over the world.
Just take a look at Charlotte’s story…
I don’t know how anyone can watch these stories and not be in awww of what St. Jude is doing for pediatric cancer.
Whoa! What a huge day!!! Thank you in advance, friends! I just know you’re going to make this week special for us and bless so many families.
Don’t forget, donate through THIS LINK HERE to be a part of our FABULOUS FUNDRAISER!
I’ll see you back here tomorrow for more Christmas cheer! Sending you so much love! xo

Thank you both for doing this both last year and this year! I’m a born and raised Memphian so St. Jude is near and dear to my heart! The work they are doing and the fact that they don’t charge the families for anything blows my mind. Through things like this giveaway, you are helping St. Jude continue it’s mission. I can’t wait for the day when childhood cancer is CURED!!!!! Thank you both again for doing this!!!!

Shay, this is my favorite post you do!! As a mother of a brain cancer survivor, I can speak first hand of what an awful disease this is. A child surviving cancer should be the norm not a miracle. Every dollar raised DOES count! What a wonderful way to give back this Christmas! God Bless! Xoxo
