Day 78: We decided it was sleeping bag and movie afternoon! Presley came home with us after the gym for a play date and lunch and then sweet Narci picked her up and delivered me a yummy latte and cookie (isn’t she the best?!). I spent the rest of the afternoon doing some work while they watched a movie in the family room in their sleeping bags…and of course this happened…
…he just can’t help it.
Day 79: Happy Thursday to you!
Day 80: We spent the day at the zoo with our sweet friends!
Day 81: It was after 11:00 am on a Saturday morning and we were still in our pjs! This never happens!
Day 82: The kids leave their shoes by the stairs when they get home and then we put them in their closets when we know for sure they won’t be putting them back on the rest of the day. When I saw the shoes on this day, I just stopped and thought…one of these days really soon, I’m going to miss seeing these sweet little shoes in my house. Soon, they’ll be replaced by big teenager shoes and then one day…their shoes will live at their own houses. I need to stop and cherish every silly little minute.
Day 83: Lunch with our kids at McDonald’s…our lives are so glamorous! I just love me some Sheaffer and Erika!
Day 84: After I picked up the kids from school, we headed to get some frozen yogurt…and the yogurt shop had Frozen playing. My kids were in paradise!
And the next two pictures just melt my heart. Here’s the thing…my girl is just like me! She says and does things every day that are so similar to me!
She really wants to learn how to speak French. She is always asking me to translate things into French for her and she tells us all the time that she wants to live in Paris when she’s older. I found some French for kids apps and she LOVES them! She’s so cute about it! And since I studied French all the way through college (and used to be fluent…I’m quite rusty now), she’s just like her mama. I loved learning that language.
And then, there’s this…
…we spent the afternoon playing outside the other day and she told me she needed a magazine to read. She picked one of my foodie magazines and then read it like this from cover to cover. Not only does she want to live in Paris, she always says she wants to be a baker when she grows up. This is my girl.
And then you guys all know my friend Alison, right?! Well, she’s over at her blog doing this super fun and creative Spring Challenge! You totally need to check it out! Click here for details!

Which apps do you use for French? My Caroline is the same way about living in Paris:)

Speaking of French, do you know of any novels you could recommend that take place in France or elsewhere in Europe? I need a good read (escape) for Spring break.

Okay…so next year…we are going to have to act like it's not weird when I still meet you girls at McDonald's. Even though my kid won't be with me.

Wait a minute! Are you SURE you aren't Canadian? Your kids take their shoes off when inside the house AND your daughter wants to learn french??? Very cool to see!
J'aime que vous montrez votre vie de tous les jours. Je suis impatient de lire vos blogs chaque jour.
