Happy Friday!!
We have such a fun weekend ahead! Miss Kensington is having a birthday on Monday, so this weekend is her family birthday party :).
Listen, I know I’ve said this before but I’ll say it again…I love linking up with Erika, Andrea and Narci on Fridays and sharing my favorites. All week, I’ve had a pink sticky note on my desk and I’ve jotted down things that I love to share with you. Here you go…my Friday Favorites…
Back in July, Fancy Ashley blogged about how much she loves The Wet Brush (found at Target) for brushing out her hair post-shower…well, I bought one for Kensington and me to use and let me tell you…it’s life changing. Kensington looooooves this brush so much because it makes brushing her hair so much easier and less painful.
If you or your daughter have a head full of hair that is hard to brush after washing, you should totally try this little brush! I believe it was around $10 at Target.
Speaking of things you can buy at Target…I finally bought some Downy Unstopables per Erika’s recommendation. She has talked about these little things a few times on her blog, so I bought some and added them to my laundry…and they smell so good! Listen, I thought she was kind of silly going on and on about a laundry enhancer…but now, I understand why :).
Apparently, I’ve been talking about my nude flats so much lately that the sweet people at Vince Camuto asked me to try on some more of their shoes and tops and share my thoughts with you…
I thought that was a pretty simple challenge considering about a month ago, I went to Nordstrom and bought this top that just so happens to be Vince Camuto too…
…I bought the navy in a small and right now, the navy & red tops are 50% off!

So, I went specifically looking for a new pair of heels to wear this fall and fell in love with this pair…
…it’s a bootie but dressy enough to wear with skirts. Um, hello. I was in love and decided instead of traditional pumps this year, I will be wearing these (also in grey). So, I bought these booties and they came home with me…
…I’m in love.
I also threw on my jeans for another way to style them…

I’m so excited because next Friday, Erika and I are flying to Nashville to meet up with some of our other favorite friends to attend the Dot Mom conference!! This is a wonderful conference celebrating the joys (and stresses) of motherhood for Christian women. I am so excited! If you are in the Nashville area (or can make it there), you should totally come!!
If you’re looking for someone else to follow on Instagram, I love following Jessica Seinfeld (Jerry’s wife). I’ve been following her for over a year now and just LOVE her. She is a food blogger, mom of three, super real, super funny, super honest gal…and I adore on Instagram :).
Am I the only one really excited about the new Shonda Rhimes’ show How to Get Away with Murder? You know Shonda…the creator of Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal…so, I’m super, super, super excited for this new show to start on the 25th!
And one last thing…dinner tonight is my yummy Chocolate Apple Pecan Cobbler…
…listen, chocolate and apples are a fabulous combination. Trust me.

I love the booties!!! I have those same flats (and I have them in black too) and I love them. I live in Nashville and want to go to that conference. Unfortunately I just went back to work from maternity leave and have no vacation time. 🙁

I LOVE the laundry scents. I found a tip on Pinterest to put them in a wax melter (with a tea light). I keep it in my laundry and mudroom and it always smells so fresh and clean!

Shay- I live in Nashville. Since you're a foodie, I definitely recommend going to The Southern (http://thesouthernnashville.com/) downtown and if you also have time, head down to The Row (http://therownashville.com/). Both places are delicious and give you a great feel for Nashville!!

The brush is amazing. We found one 1 1/2 years ago in Kauai. My daughter saw it and she has a terrible time brushing her hair. And it changed our mornings and post shower too. Amazing and I just saw them the other day at target. Love!
Love the boots but living up north would not get a chance to wear them. We are already freezing and thinking of getting the uggs out. But so cute!

We love the wet brush too! As cheesy as it sounds it really was life changing for us. We now own several and my girls never cry over hair brushing anymore.

So I ran to The Limited today to get this leopard belt I tried on previously but didn't buy. But felt I needed it NOW because of you and PTMT! As I was checking out the salesgirl told me that the Scandal stylists and The Limited are having a collaboration in stores starting on 9/23 and you can sign up to be notified of it and the in store event! Some of the clothes will be clothes actually featured on Scandal and some are just a collab with their stylists. Sorry for the longwinded comment but just wanted to alert you Scandal fans!
