Happy Birthday Kensington!


Today, our sweet Kensington Kate turns SIX!  I can hardly believe it!
I prayed and prayed and prayed to be a mom…and God blessed me with this sweet girl.  I always tell my kids that the best day of my life was September 15, 2008 because I became a mama…my dream come true.  (January 18, 2010 was icing on the cake when I became a mama for the second time!)

This sweet girl fills our home with so much love.  She is constantly looking out for all of us and kind of mothers us all :).  She is always singing, always dancing, always using her imagination…always busy.  Her sweet little heart is so full of love.
We love you sweet Kensington!  Thank you Lord for bringing this precious girl into our lives.
Today’s Meal Planning Monday is made up of Kensington’s favorite recipes…my favorite little cook’s favorite foods :).

    It melts my heart reading how you always tell your children how special they are to you, saying September 15th is your favorite day. Children really are a blessing! It's so good that they know they're loved.

    Hi Shay, my name is Sam and I am from Queensland, Australia. I found your blog through Big Mama, Boo Mama and Kelly's Korner. So, I love those ladies so much and I thought I would check your blog out. I have loved reading it so much. I should say when I find a blog I really like I go back to the start because I kind of think well I wouldn't want to start a book or TV show half way through. So over the last few months or so I have read every single post of yours. It's been the best!! I have also checked out your friends blogs and yes, in love with them too! I now read Erika's, Andrea's, Sheaffer's, Narci's and Kara's. You have some truly special friends. Oh yeah I read all of your foodie blog too. I can't make much of it as a lot of the stuff isn't available in Oz. Which is a bummer! I love how you make it look easy and it makes me want to cook. So the reason I found your blog was to do with your brother. We don't get the Bachelor in Australia so I had to go on Youtube and I had so much fun looking for bits and getting to see you and your precious family. What a time that must have been. Your family is an inspiration to me. I am new in my faith and in being a believer but I am. I don't even have a bible yet. I wasn't raised with religion. I am baptised. It's a long story but I fully believe now. I take such strength from you and all your family. I am learning to pray and yes I pray for you all and in your journey to bring Ashby home. Your kids are so precious and I thank you for sharing your life. It takes a lot. You are a light in my life. Ok one more thing which I thought was cool is I share my Birthday with Kensington. Also, I know you love all things British so did you know that September 15th is also Prince Harry's Birthday. Cool huh?! Oh yeah, love love love your home! So much!!! Your travels….. what can I say?? My dream come true. I would love to travel. I hope to come to America one day. Ok, I can't wait to read more and see everything else happening in your life. xoxo
