Yay! It’s Friday!! Kensington asked if we could have “Shull Family Fun Night”…when I asked her what that meant, she said we would all watch a movie in our bed. Totally doable. If you’re looking for Andrew or myself tonight around 7:30, there’s a good chance we’ll be asleep on the bed with two kiddos between us watching a movie (because if you put us in a dark room on a cozy bed, during a Disney movie…we’ll totally fall asleep!).

Tomorrow, we’re heading to another Oktoberfest (seriously, we love us an Oktoberfest!). In honor of this fun tradition, I thought you could make my Beer Cheese Joes for dinner this weekend. A little beer in your supper totally makes me think of Oktoberfest ;).
Remember back in July when Nordstrom asked me if I ever shopped in their Petites Department? And so I went over there and tried on a few things (and ended up with a really cute shirt!). Well, you guys seemed to like the Petites post so much that they asked me to do it again :).
I typically only buy petite when I’m shopping for pants or skirts (so I don’t have to have them hemmed) and jackets or sweaters (because the sleeve length tends to fit better). I was supposed to meet up with Sheaffer for a Shopping with Sheaffer and Shay day but she was under the weather, so I decided to check out the Petites section instead (and bonus, several of the things I tried on are also available in regular sizes too!)
This open cardigan was super cute thrown over my jeans and tank. It was so soft and cozy too! I’m wearing a petite small here. Again in both petite and regular sizes.
And listen…how much do I love my Ugg booties?!?! Words cannot describe! My favorite part is that they’re water proof and weather resistant…bring on the yucky winter weather!
How cute is this top?!? I’m wearing oatmeal but it’s also available in 3 other colors as well.
And of course, I tried on a military jacket. In store, they didn’t have a small petite, so I tried on medium (I think small would have been a better fit on me), but nevertheless, if you’re like me and always looking for a military jacket, this one was really cute and nice and light…perfect for transitional weather. You could totally throw on a fun scarf with it too…

I didn’t see this dress at my store to try on…but isn’t it so cute?!?! You need to check out the back of it too. There is a zipper that runs all the way down the back. This dress comes in 7 different colors and is available in both regular sizes and petites. I’m thinking holiday dress? The black version would be the perfect LBD…and you know me, I would probably get the navy. Love :).

I took Smith to Bath and Body Works and he had me smell every candle in there. He kept saying, “Here mom, smell this one.”. We love us a good fall scented candle and I love, love, love hanging out with my boy :).
I’ve had several sweet emails and comments lately asking about a status update on Ashby. Because of the nature of adoption, things stay pretty private until it’s officially done…but I can say that we seem to be moving right on pace. So far, we have thankfully had no setbacks or delays and have moved right along. We’re hoping to get her by the end of the year (which in adoption world might actually turn into the beginning of next year)…but I don’t worry about it. I know God has a perfect plan and his timing will be exactly what we need. I trust it all in his hands. Thank you for asking :).

I have always been a Bath & Body Works candle lover also…BUT my friend told me the "Better Homes" candles at Walmart are stronger and last longer! So, I tried them out…and YES! They are much better and WAY cheaper! {Little Tip} 🙂

What scent did you end up getting at Bath and Body Works? My favorite fall scent is their "Leaves". It is not too over powering like some other brands tend to be. I have a few pumpkin candles I can only burn an hour before the headaches start coming.
