My parents live an hour away from us in a great little town called Southlake. If I didn’t live in McKinney, I would most definitely want to live there. They have a great town square that often puts on fun events…we always, always, always look forward to their Oktoberfest! We drove over around 3:00 on Saturday and spent the evening there with my parents and grandparents…so much fun!
Willkommen!
This was in front of the little yoga studio on the square ;).
She wanted to ride the metal cow :).
(And because I know you’ll ask, you can find her boots here. XO)
My people. I love my people so much.
They slid down this slide approximately 4,569 times.
My mom took this picture of Kensington :). We were just people watching. Love my sweet girl.
The kiddos always want their faces painted…dragon boy.
This year, Kensington wanted her arm painted instead. They were so proud of their new tattoos.
Love.
We stopped for a little popcorn.
And then after we ate dinner, we had some lemon gelato. Such a fun evening!
On Wednesday, I had the privilege of speaking at the Scotswood Garden Club. It was truly an honor talking with these lovely ladies. One of them in particular is Mary…a long time blog reader who also sends me the sweetest emails and leaves the most encouraging (and funny!) comments…
…after she hugged me she said that I could make a blog post on going to the bathroom fun. Loved that! Loved. That. I hope you do think I could make (almost) anything fun! Love you Mary!! So nice to finally meet you!
Don’t forget to buy your Manda Strong tee! Adult sizes available in grey and navy and kids sizes available in navy. All of the proceeds go directly to Manda! If you email me a pic of you and your family wearing them, I will feature it on my blog!! Let’s support our girl!
And for the most information (including prayer requests!!), please make sure you like the Manda Strong Facebook Page. This is where the most information will be shared about you can specifically pray for Manda and her family.

I think it's your positive and uplifting outlook on life that is so appealing. Your love of your family and friends really comes across in your pictures and writing. Two things….Love your Dad and his purple shoes (how awesome is he) and I laughed at the guy glaring at the camera in the background of your family picture.

I have to ask, can you give the details of the jacket you are wearing over the green shirt in the pic with your family? I know I saw a post about it, but I can't find it now. Adorbs. Thanks!

So fun! We were building a home in Trophy Club, by Southlake, in 2010 but our home here in Chattanooga didn't sell. We have mutual friends and sometimes I feel like I know you in real life, crazy!
