Woohoo, it’s FRIDAY! First up, I’m partnering with Nordstrom and ShopStyle and sharing some FABULOUS SNEAKERS, A MUST HAVE MASCARA, VACATION FAVES and MORE! Plus, I woke up extra early yesterday and today (thank you, jet lag!), so I’m super perky…for now 🙂 .
As always, I’m linking up with my friends Andrea and Erika .
I hope you have a great weekend!
I am OBSESSED with my new sneakers…
I love a neutral sneaker, so these were speaking my name.
I’ve shared this Daybreak style many, many times before. They’re comfy, run true to size and are perfect for walking, running errands, traveling (when you have to walk a lot…like Disney World!). I love them.
Sweater + my favorite jeans (on sale!) + neutral sneakers = easy every day outfit
Speaking of favorites…
This year when I hosted my Recipe Exchange and Favorite Things Party…
…I gave each of my friends my favorite eyelash curler along with…
…my new go-to mascara. I had been in Nordstrom earlier in the fall needing to grab mascara and the very, very helpful woman in the beauty department told me I should try this Stack Mascara in “black mega”. I loved it so much that I’ve already purchased my second tube! See it on my right eye here? That’s just one coat!!
Here is my left eye that I’ve only curled (no mascara). I’ve shared this a million times before too, but I swear by RevitaLash. I use it two or three times a week (one tube lasts about six months) and always see results. If you need lashes that are a bit longer or fuller, I cannot recommend this enough. My lipstick has been my go-to for 10+ years (Saint Germain)…
…and my eyeliner is right here in pitch black.
Nordstrom is always been my go-to for my beauty finds! As you know, I always love shopping there because not only do they have everything my family needs from beauty to shoes to home, clothes, bath and more, but they have impeccable service, free shipping, free returns, and curbside pick up (all so handy for the busy lady!). You can catch all of their services (including alterations, gift wrapping, style help and more HERE!).
Well, I lied…
…out of desperation, I watched 1883 on the flight home Wednesday (how ironic, after just saying I had ZERO INTEREST). I watched the first four episodes…and didn’t hate it. I’m going to finish the season now. Dang. Just when I said I wouldn’t. It’s not any less traumatic than Yellowstone (for the love, this stuff is hard to watch!!!), and the narrating makes my skin crawl, BUT I’m invested now and curious.
Sigh.
I hate when I’m wrong 😉 .
A few faves from the last few days that I wanted to make sure you saw…
…if you’re going skiing this season, head HERE to check out my my SKI VACATION GROCERY LIST!
I have all of our essentials in one printable list with details about how we grocery shop in Park City too!
Plus this week…
…I’m sharing FOUR NEW VALENTINE’S DAY GIFT GUIDES!
Okay, I mentioned my jeans up at the top, but you know that I AM OBSESSED with Wit and Wisdom jeans. I cannot tell you one reason they’re not perfect. The waist isn’t too high or too low, but just right where you want it to be…they never sag after wearing them, the quality is just like an expensive pair but they’re are inexpensive (I just bought THIS PAIR that’s currently only $38!), they last for years (the two pairs below are now three years old), come in so many different styles and colors, wash and dry well…they are THE BEST JEANS for busy ladies like us. Don’t forget though, size down one when ordering. They run just one size larger than your “norm”. I typically wear a 2, but in these jeans, I wear a 0.
On this trip to Paris, I wore my FAUX LEATHER LEGGINGS and then two pairs of Wit and Wisdom jeans every day for walking and site seeing.
I wore my tried and true blue pair…
…and MY BLACK PAIR…
…I cannot rave about THESE JEANS enough.
My favorite lightly distressed WIT & WISDOM JEANS are on sale right now as well as THIS COZY SWEATER!! Friends, this sweater comes in 18 different color choices. EIGHTEEN! Right now, they’re 33% off! This sweater has zero itch and is oh so cozy. My color is called SILVER HEATHER GREY. It works so well with my FAVORITE BOOTIE OF THE YEAR!
My light sweater here is also on sale! It’s under $30 and comes in 7 different color options (pairing nicely with those jeans!!) 🙂 .
Once again, don’t forget though, size down one when ordering. They run just one size larger than your “norm”.
Last but certainly not least…
…my SPARKLY BOOTIES ARE ON SALE!
Are they over the top? Yes! Are they also super comfortable and crazy fun to wear? Yes, yes! Right now, they’re 40% off too!
Whether you’re looking for something savory…
…or sweet…
…or just easy and fabulous…
…I have TWENTY WINTER CITRUS RECIPES you need to try!
I’m ending my post today with a little…
…since it’s January and many of us are thinking about fitness and being more active, I thought I’d flashback to…
…my post from February 2017 when I share my thoughts, tips and tricks for being active (and how little things each day add up!).
And then…
…this Life Lately post here is filled with so many sweet nuggets from January 2016 🙂 . It’s a must read!
That wraps up my Friday!
I hope you all have a wonderful, wonderful weekend! I will see you back here on Monday! xx

Oh my goodness!!! Those pics of your kids are the sweetest!! Look at baby Ashby and baby Madeley!
Sheaffer says
I absolutely LOVE the mascara you gave us!!!! It’s awesome!
Laurie says
1883 is only one season, so you can make it!! If you want to see how the little boy turns out, watch 1923, just as good as 1883 and this too is only one season.
Dana P says
That post from 2017 on being active in 2017 is so motivating! I had forgotten about it, thanks! 🙌🏼
Kelly Franks says
The narration drives me bonkers in 1883 as well. However, I found myself hyper focusing on how they shower and keep clean. I don’t think I would have survived and if I had I would’ve looked a hot mess, nothing like Faith Hill did. LOL!!
Mix and Match Mama says
I could NEVER kiss any of them in that condition.
Kelli W says
If you need a light break from the Yellowstone/1883 drama, try “Traitors” on Peacock! It’s a reality/game show and ACK I was so addicted this week to it! 🙂
Brooke says
Hi! Are your sneakers the tan or photon dust?
Mix and Match Mama says
I just double checked and mine are “tan”.
Terry says
I’d love to hear a recap of your Favorite Things party…how you do it and what some of this years favorite things were.
Mix and Match Mama says
We have an entire podcast episode about it! Click on the link there in this post and it will give you all the deets!
Karah Stracener says
I am always on the hunt for a good mascara. I will have to try this one. I need to order that eyelash curler. Everytime you talk about it, I think oooo I need to order and then forget. I am adding it to my cart now. 🙂
Kathy says
I died laughing at the Flashback Friday from January 2016 where Ashby’s wish is to be tall when she grows up!! 🙂
Lizzie says
Love Yellowstone. Love 1883. Have only watched one episode of 1923 so far. Happy you watched 1883. It started slow for me, but it gets better.
WhittyWife (Lindsay) says
I’ve always loved a great lash curler, but I have to be honest with you… I’ve been getting lash extensions for almost a year now, and I’m totally hooked! They make SUCH a difference, and I find myself not needing any eye makeup because they just highlight my eyes so well! I was initially very nervous, but I have an amazingly talented lash artist, so the whole process actually makes my natural lashes healthier.
I would seriously recommend trying extensions, Shay! I think you’d LOVE them! 🩷
Happy Friday!!!
Mix and Match Mama says
I’ve considered it for SO LONG. My hesitation is the time commitment. I just don’t think I can add that to my schedule.
WhittyWife (Lindsay) says
Oh yes, valid point! You’d definitely want to find a lash artist that you enjoy spending a hour with every 2-3 weeks. 😄 But I hear you. Sometimes all my appts overwhelm me too. Haha!
MelanieL says
I love Wit and Wisdom jeans too! Also, thank you for the flashback to the active post, really great tips! 🙂
Ashley says
Too funny about 1883, haha! I tried watching that one and got maybe 3 episodes in. I liked it, but it just felt so sad and I’ve heard it’s the same way with Yellowstone, so I just never tried to watch it. I think if I stuck it out, I’d probably be hooked too, haha. I enjoyed all your favorites in the post, and I hope you have a great weekend! 🙂

I love how easy you make it to find the items that you link in your blog posts. You make it so easy to get to everything. I have ordered so many of the things that you mention in your posts. Thanks for all of the great ideas.
marta says
where did you get the tall black boots with the white fuzzy on the front you are wearing in one of the above pics?
Mix and Match Mama says
They’re Sorels from Nordstrom!
Lori says
I loved 1883! I love your jeans too, but I thought skinnies were out of style. 😩
Mix and Match Mama says
I love skinny jeans on 5’3″ frame. I think anything that makes you feel good about yourself is always in style 🙂 .
Elizabeth Whisler says
My Friday Favorite is that me and one of my girlfriends met up for a weekend in Dallas and came to McKinney to spend the day experiencing the square! I live in Florida and she lives in Arizona so this was the perfect place to have a girls weekend! We both listened to the podcast you and Erika did about McKinney and made our list of places we wanted to see and places to eat!! Thanks for all the tips!!!
Mix and Match Mama says
Wow!! That’s amazing!!!! How fun for you two?!
Kirsten J says
I need that V-neck sweater but I also need to know is that a T-shirt you’re wearing under it?
Mix and Match Mama says
I’m basically just wearing a white sports bra 😉 .
Laura says
A little late to this post.. but what do you for your eyebrows? They look so good and thick! Lol
Mix and Match Mama says
I don’t hardly do anything. I don’t really tweeze and haven’t waxed in over 10 years. I just use a little eyebrow makeup and leave them be. Thank you!
