Just another week in the Shull household…nothin’ too exciting, just life.
Day 281: My father-in-law is perhaps the smartest person I know. He’s an engineer and completely brilliant…that being said, it takes him sweet forever to look at things and make a decision. When they come into town, we often go shopping and one time, we took them to IKEA..we stayed all day. All. Day. And he still didn’t see it all. All of this being said, I think Smith Shull has some of PawPaw’s genes because I told him he could select one Lunchable for a special treat and he looked at them for what seemed like hours. I almost told him that I was leaving and would be back later that night to drive him home. That’s why this is my Shay Everyday picture…I think I spent all day watching Smith select a Lunchable that you and I both know he’ll only eat the dessert out of…
Day 282: We spent the evening at the State Fair of Texas!! Woohoo!
Day 283: I am soaking in all of this Smith and mommy time. Until this fall when Kensington started school, it was always the three of us and then in a few months, it will be a lot of Mommy, Smith and Ashby during the day…so, right this second, I’m enjoying the one on one time with my boy. I will always treasure this season together.
Day 284: Cold front, hot chocolate, pajamas and no place to be. The perfect Saturday.
Day 285: It was “wear your favorite football team’s shirt” to church day! Photo cred: Kensington Shull who is “too fancy to wear a football shirt”. That girl cracks me up!
Day 286: Kensington had the day off from school on Monday, so we soaked up the extra time with her. Brunch with daddy was the perfect way to enjoy the day!
Day 287: I love picking my kiddos up from school! One kid down, one to go on this afternoon :).

Kensington may be too fancy for a football shirt, but girl knows how to take a picture! I love Smith in front of all those lunchables. Brings back memories of when I used to pick out one for my lunch each day in college.

I love all the pictures! Your kiddos are so happy & precious! Can't wait for Ashby pictures! 😀
You always handle "criticism" from people so well! It surprises me each time. I am sure it hurts your feelings, but you turn the other cheek! It doesn't go unnoticed and shows so much of your character!

You should have totally started singing Fancy to your little non-football diva 😉

Hi Shay,
How old will Ashby be when she comes home to the Shull family? Loved reading your blog today. Great recipes.

As soon as the adoption is final, I will be able to share all of Ashby's details!! I can't wait!

My husband and his grandma are soooo slow with decision making, so I feel your pain 🙂
Paula says
And…not surprised by the fact you handle it well, but the fact people are so rude! Just for clarification! 😉

When I was pregnant with our third, my middle son was only in PK 4 days a week. We so enjoyed "Mommy and Brody" Mondays and I have such sweet memories of that year between August to the end of November. Enjoy your Smith/Mommy time!

I am laughing so hard at Smith! My boyfriend is an engineer and for the past 5 years that we've been dating, I can not think of one single time that he's been able to make a decision in less than 30 minutes. Not one! But he is brilliant nonetheless. Gotta love em. I am so jealous of the cold front yall had! In SC its still 85 degrees on a good day! Thanks for sharing :))

I agree with Smith, there are a ton of Lunchable options! It took me forever to pick one out as a surprise lunch for my sweet kindergartener.
