Our sweet friend Manda spoke at our church’s fall women’s night a few weeks ago and totally rocked!  Manda shared her story with everyone…she has fought cancer 3 times and is such a rock star about all of it.  If you want to watch Manda’s very encouraging and uplifting message from that night, you can right here.  I promise you, you will be amazed at what a fighter our friend is.  Also, if you want to keep up with Manda on this journey, you can “like” her Facebook page here.

On Wednesday, I shared my Pie oh My! with you.  I gathered up all of my favorite Thanksgiving pie recipes and posted them in one place.  They’re all simple, all seasonal and all delish!  I’m telling you…you will find a Thanksgiving pie to make in the bunch :).

Hey! Hey! Hey!  It’s that heritage scarf I’ve talked about ;).  I wore it to church on Sunday and took a pic to show you guys.  I still love it :).
It also comes in green and navy.

Every year, I host my annual recipe exchange and it’s always, always, always SO MUCH FUN!  Well, this year, it’s a Breakfast Edition and everyone is coming in their pajamas and slippers, so, I bought these…
…aren’t they fun?!?!  
We also do our annual Jammy Cocoa Christmas each year, so they’ll be perfect for that too!
The sweatshirt isn’t even really a pajama…it’s an actual sweatshirt, but when I saw the cute plaid pants, I thought they’d look super fun together as pjs!  And of course, you already know how much I love my Ugg slippers :).

…my Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Pie with an Oreo Crust is one of my favorites today too!  This my friends, needs to be on your Thanksgiving table.

And finally, I’ve had a lot of questions lately about denim and when I partnered with Nordstrom for all of these giveaways, they asked if I wanted to talk about denim…and since I wear denim every.single.solitary.day, I said yes :).
I’ve been telling you for months that I found my new favorite pair of jeans…
…these BLANKNYC jeans are my new favorites…and I wear them almost every single day (for a size reference, I bought them in 26).

In pretty much every pic I post, I’m wearing either them or my black jeans…

…now, here’s the thing with my black jeans…I ordered and returned two pairs before buying these.  The other pairs weren’t comfy at all.  They were stiff and tight in all the wrong places.  These jeans however and so incredibly soft while maintaining their shape at the same time.  They’re Paige Jeans and they’ve made me a believer.

I saw these Joe’s Jeans that looked really cute, so I ordered them and did a side by side comparison…
The first picture is a new pair of Joe’s Jeans, then my black jeans, then my BLANKNYC jeans.

So, I liked these Joe’s Jeans when they arrived.  I thought they were comfy and really cute…but they look enough like my BLANKNYC jeans (which are less expensive), so I didn’t keep them.  That being said, if for some reason the BLANKNYC didn’t work for you…these might.

I just love my black jeans :).

And I really love my BLANKNYC jeans too!
And then one last thing if you’re trying to add a few little gifts to your Christmas shopping cart…I was trying to take a pic of my new glitter studs for you, and I actually took a pic of several things that would make excellent Christmas gifts…

Okay…but wait for it…after I was done with this post, I bought this pair of jeans…
…um, they are in fact the comfiest jeans I have ever put on my body.  I met Sheaffer for coffee yesterday morning and she commented on them and I told her that they were so comfy, I wish she could climb inside just to feel. #shedeclined 
I have mine cuffed with my booties, but I tried them on with my tall boots and they work well with them too.  If you’re shorter like me, then you could cuff (or hem) and if you’re taller (lucky you), you can wear them straight.  I cannot say enough good things about these jeans!  They were a surprise to me!

    Black jeans are high on my want list….but the is some sort of "dye" smell that I can get rid of. Being honest…it's only been two pairs that I have tried and returned (Gap, ON). I am a preschool special Ed teacher and that combo is great for on the floor play since I am still required to dress up a bit. When I went to message the seller on Facebook I noticed her cover photo was of her and her husband and a banner behind them that said "We're adopting". I had to tell her how amazing I thought adoption was and told her a little about My besand her family's experience with adoption. It has always been one of my favorite stories. She went on to tell me that they had matched with an expectant mother of twin girls who had decided to parent and this blanket was going to be for one of the babies. That broke my heart but it must not have been meant to be. So these two continue their search for the baby that is meant for them!     The $250 Nordstrom gift card would be used to embrace and celebrate who I am today… through clothes and accessories that allow me to express who I am on the inside…. on the outside too. Like many, self-confidence and being comfortable in my own skin has been a struggle over the years. Somehow I have fallen into a funk of sweatpants, crummy t-shirts, no makeup, and old sneakers as my daily wear (my sweats could rival your scarf collection). Working from home only adds to the complacency of not putting much effort into my physical appearance, yet I know I am missing out on enjoying life through colors, fabrics… and fun.
