Hello there life lately. As Joey Tribbiani would say…”how you doin’?”.
(Side note, I love watching Friends reruns…the older the rerun, the more I love it. #rossandrachelforever)
I’m doing great! It’s been a very nice, kind of low-key, calm before the storm kind of week.
We’ve been swimming a lot this week, Andrew’s parents are in town and I’m going to LA with Sheaffer tomorrow afternoon for the Men Tell All taping. Lots of fun over here :).
And speaking of fun…if you’re a Nordstrom cardholder, you can start shopping the Anniversary Sale today. Not gonna lie…I woke up and bought me a few things this morning. Last year, my favorite booties, favorite coat and favorite scarf all came from the Anniversary Sale (because it’s NEW fall items that are discounted, not summer stuff). And based on your feedback last year, you guys enjoyed the sale too (that peacoat from last year that was under $40…hello?!). So, if you’re a cardholder, you can shop today and everyone else can next Friday. I know it’s only July 9th and I’m totally and completely loving summer right now and not wishing it away by any stretch of the imagination but…
…this Pinterest Board makes my heart go pitter-patter :).
Ashby London has decided to have no fear at the pool. She is jumping off the side left and right with her buddy Bowen…it won’t be long before she’s going off the board with the big kids.
These two. The accessories kill me :).
From reading my blog, you know that Kensington has been obsessed with the American Girl doll of the year for 2015 (New England girl that loves baking and visits Paris) since it was released in January, and on Friday, we surprised her with a trip to the store in Dallas and the doll. It was better than Christmas for Kensington. She literally cried tears of joy.
We also let Ashby pick out a Bitty Baby while we were there. This is her first doll and she has loved on that thing since the moment she picked it up. Kensington got her Bitty Baby when she was three and still loves on it today. Kensington named her’s Emme…but unfortunately, Ashby listened to her 5 year old brother’s advice and decided on a unique name for her doll…Poopoo. #boys #bigbrothers
A little Rosetta Stone in the morning with one girl on my right…
…and one on the left. Kensington has been doing it with me…a girl after my own heart.
Dinner with these two cuties and our hubbies. If you’re local, you should try Sugarbacon in McKinney. Narci, Erika and I went for dinner with the guys and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the pulled pork and it was delish!
Heels and a costume…we love dressing up around here!
This is how I read the other night. Smith came into my room and cuddled with me while I read…two minutes later, he was sound asleep :).
We love being in the backyard!
And taking selfies together :).
Oh lookie! We’re wearing a costume again!
We were at the pool the other day and looked over to see our kids dancing together. Why swim when you can dance with your sister? #theyshouldhaveswitchedpartners
Bed Head. 🙂
Full cart…full heart. (And Smith’s mouth is full of cookie, so that explains his tough guy face!)
That’s life lately.
Salmon with Avocado Chive Mash. Simple
And don’t forget, if you’re praying with me this month, the prayer request post can be found here.
