It’s Friday!
As always, I’m linking up with my favorite ladies Narci, Erika & Andrea and sharing my Friday Favorites.
Here we go…
Oktoberfest is a much anticipated event each year for our family! This weekend, our town is hosting their annual Oktoberfest and then next week, my parents’ town is doing the same. Two Saturdays of Oktoberfest? I’ve died and gone to German heaven :).
Here we are last year…
…how much fun will it be this year with Ashby?!?! Both towns have so many games/rides/face painting/food trucks/etc for families…so, we know Ashby will love it too.
Speaking of Oktoberfest, I swear this is a coincidence…but one of my very favorite polishes EVER is OPI’s Every Month is Oktoberfest…
…and I tend to wear it pretty much all fall and winter long along with this one…
…OPI’s Lincoln Park After Dark. These two are my favorite fall shades :).
A favorite this week from you guys was my Pottery Barn holiday plates! Like I said on Tuesday (when I showed you inside my house), Pottery Barn comes out with seasonal kid plates for each holiday. We collect them all (Valentine’s Day, Easter, July 4th, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas). My kiddos enjoy eating everything from breakfast to dinner to snacks off of these happy little plates…and I eat off them too :).
We love the happy Halloween plates!
…and they’re going to go great with our collection :).
Speaking of Halloween…
…my new Target Halloween shirt was a favorite too! I have a feeling that several of us will be wearing this tee all season long :).
And pssssst: lots of you asked about my shoes, belt and jeans.
My shoes came from Nordstrom in the spring, but sold out really quickly. I found this pair that has the same color and shape for you.
My belt is here.
My jeans are from the spring, but this is the fall version right here.
And the other day, I showed you a pic of me headed to church and I had several people ask me what I wear each week. Honestly? I wear the same two combinations over and over and over again. I wear either black pants and a top or a pencil skirt and a top. If I wear the same combo each week, then I don’t have to invest in multiple dresses and such. I just mix and match my tops and bottoms. Here was the original pic I showed…
And here is what I wore last week…
My top is recent but everything else is from years past. This leopard scarf is one of my very favorite things for this time of year :). You can find a similar one here (because mine is three years old).
And one last common question I receive is what to take when you need to make something for someone. You know…when someone has a baby, has a death in the family, just had surgery and stuff life that. Here are some of my favorite go to meals…
…to see all of my simple suppers for taking to others, click here.
I hope you have a great weekend friends!
Love you all!

Our small town has Oktoberfest as well, never been because that's the time we always seem to take our vacations (anniversary month)! Been dying to go though! Thank you SO much for sharing great meals to give–dear friends of ours are going through Foster-To-Adopt and we plan on supporting them by bringing meals when they receive a call on the spot of getting a child. Great ideas! xoxo

Have you ever seen the Halloween or Christmas plates in the PBK store? Trying to decide if it's worth a trip to Stonebriar or if they're online only!
Mix and Match Mama says
I have seen them in store!
Laura says
Thanks! Bought the Halloween ones in the store today…they said the Christmas ones won't be out for a couple of weeks!

Question about the the Loft shirt you are wearing with the leopard scarf. How does it do in the wash? I have other Loft shirts made out of rayon and they tend to shrink up in the washing machine, not even putting them in the dryer. Thanks!
Mix and Match Mama says
I've wash and lay it flat to dry. I've probably done it five or six times already and it's perfect every single time!
Mama Of Boys says
That's such a thoughtful and sweet category of recipes, you are a sweetheart. I wish we had PB over here, those plates are adorable. Madewell has just starting shipping to UK this week…maybe PB will follow suit and start soon. Send prayers!!

Have you tried Trader Joe's pumpkin soup with pumpkin croutons? They're AWESOME! I like them for lunch since lunches are always tough to figure out but fun when seasonal and yummy. 🙂

Another great color that a lot of people don't know about is OPI's Lincoln Park After Midnight. I would almost say its right in between Every Month is Oktoberfest and Lincoln Park After Dark. It's my fall favorite!
