I always keep a big jar of Fruit Loops on my kitchen counter because…it’s pretty, it’s colorful, it’s a little whimsical and occasionally, it’s a snack. The other day, I thought…you know…I should just grab me some of those Fruit Loops and make Rainbow Treats for St. Patrick’s Day. It’s that simple.
Happy (almost) St. Paddy’s Day!
Shopping List
6 cups Fruit Loops cereal
3 tablespoons butter
4 cups mini marshmallows
Pour your cereal into a large mixing bowl, set aside.
Grease (I used Pam) a 9×13 baking dish. Set aside.
Over medium heat, melt butter in sauce pan. Add in marshmallows, stirring until melted. Pour over cereal. Mix well and then spread into greased baking dish. Spray a spatula with Pam and press it over the top to get the cereal to stay put in the baking dish.
Allow everything to cool and then once cooled, cut into squares and enjoy.
Whether you’re looking for a simple St. Patrick’s Day treat or just something fun to whip up with your kids in the kitchen, these will do the trick!
