It’s Show & Tell Tuesday! Woohoo! Twice a month, we all link up with Andrea and show & tell ya something. Today, we’re sharing our life’s mixed tape. So, looking back over our life, what songs would we associate with certain time periods.
Truth, I don’t have songs…I have albums that represent my mixed tape. It’s eclectic, it’s full of boys and there are Christmas carols involved in my life’s mixed tape..
The Carpenters Christmas Portrait is the soundtrack to my entire childhood. I know I’ve told you guys this a million times, but seriously, when I recall memories from my past, these songs are playing in my mind. My parents played this album 24/7 during the month of December growing up and it is burned into every memory I have. Now, I play it for my kids in December :).
My mom took me to see New Kids on the Block in concert in 1989…I was 8…and I remember it like it was yesterday. I was in love with NKOTB. I had all of their stuff, sang all of their songs…it was the late eighties and my little first grade self couldn’t get enough of Jordan, Joey, Donny, Danny and Jonathan.
High school. Bam.
NSYNC.
This one album was my high school soundtrack :).
And lest we forget…
…Brittany Spears. She’s on my mixed tape too.
So…after high school, I went off to college and fell in love with this boy…
…and this kind of true love never dies :).
The soundtrack to my adult life would be any Michael Buble song. #noshame #lovebuble #onrepeatoverhere
I would say that right now, my life’s anthem would be Good Life from One Republic. I love everything about this song :).
So, that’s my mixed tape. I can’t wait to read through the link ups and see what everyone else picks! What would be on your life’s mixed tape? Comment and share!

So here's something you may or may not know about me. I've never in my life purchased a record, a tape, or a cd. I've never even purchased anything on i tunes either. Now, I sing along to the radio LIKE A BOSS, I've just never actually purchased anything. I know. I'm weird.

My husband recently informed me that I need to start using our amazon prime music (apparently it was already on my phone and I just didn't know) and I immediately added ALL Britney and NSYNC albums to our shared library. Nick was thrilled. THRILLED. 🙂

Shay! Totally random comment so perhaps I should have posted this yesterday with the awesome random pictures 🙂 BUT I'm a Houston gal with Dallas friends and recently saw a snap from one showing a sign for March Mania at Chick-Fil-A at the 380 and 75 location I believe!! Free meal/items March 21-23rd from 11-2 if I'm not mistaken. Had to share because I'm totally jealous! So there's a fun fact for this Happy Tuesday! 🙂

I love all of these! That Karen Carpenter Christmas album put a peace over me every time I hear it. I think because it's familiar and sounds like my childhood. This was such a fun topic. I had a blast writing my post, too.

My first concert was NKOTB at age 8!! My older sister wanted to go – and I tagged along. I remember having a massive headache and thinking I would rather be at home…such an old soul!!

Fun post!! Thanks for the music inspo today…now I've got some new stations to listen to while I work. And my all-time fave Christmas song is Dolly's 'Hard Candy Christmas', so I'm all about the cheese!

OOOOOH NKOTB. I begged and begged to go to their concert in 1989 (I was 8 as well) when they came to Atlanta, but my parents said that I was too young. WAAAAHHHH! I'm still sad to this day that I didn't get to go! Hahahaha.

Boy, you can tell I'm old! Every one of these, I'm going, "Really?" OK, not every one. I do love me some Michael Buble. I even have a few of his CDs.
