I’m doing something today that I never do…I’m re-posting a recipe. We made these Meatball Burgers again the other night and they were too darn good not to share again. If you haven’t made them yet, fire up that grill. Your family will LOVE these burgers!
This recipe makes 4 (half pound) burgers.
Shopping List
2 pounds of ground beef
1 cup of plain breadcrumbs
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1/2 cup of onion, grated (I use a cheese grater)
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
3½ tablespoons of Italian seasoning blend, divided
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 (8 oz) can of tomato sauce
1/2 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon garlic powder
4 thick slices of provolone cheese
4 buns
chopped parsley to garnish
Preheat your outdoor grill or indoor grill pan over medium-high heat.
In a mixing bowl, combine your ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, grated onion, garlic, 3 tablespoons of Italian seasoning and Parmesan cheese with your hands or a spoon.
Divide mixture into four sections and make four patties (make sure to press down each patty a little in the center to avoid the “burger bulge” when they grill).
Add your burger patties to the grill and begin grilling (we do about 6 minutes or so each side). About two minutes before you’re ready to remove, add a thick slice of provolone to the tops of each patty.
While your patties are grilling up, make your quick tomato sauce. In a bowl, combine your tomato sauce, ketchup, garlic powder and remaining 1/2 tablespoon of Italian seasoning. Stir together and then set aside.
When your patties are done, remove from the grill and assemble your burgers. Bun, cheeseburger patty, dollop of tomato sauce and chopped parsley to garnish.
This burger is so delicious!

Nothing beats a good old juice hamburger.
In place of the bread crumbs I like to use finely ground tortilla chips and Before putting the cheese on top I like to add 3-4 slices of pepperoni first and then top with a slice of cheese and topping it off with just a bit of pizza sauce. Yum.
Have a wonderful and enjoyable week end

Just had these tonight and they were very good! We decided the leftover sauce will serve as a sauce for homemade pizza! 🙂
