It’s the first What’s Up Wednesday of 2019!
Annnnnd there are a few changes to kick off our year.
First, our sweet blogger friend Mel who has been hosting this link up with us for YEARS has decided to step away from blogging. Mel, Sheaffer and I were all texting the other day about how the first time we “met”, we talked to her on the phone and she had just had her little boy who is now so BIG and in school! These years fly by, friends. So, we miss Mel, but since she’s no longer blogging that means…we have a new graphic (please see above!). So, if you blog, make sure you grab the new one for your post today.
Most Wednesdays, Sheaffer blogs WUW right along with us, but occasionally, during Bachelor/Bachelorette season, she blogs recaps of that instead. Let’s all stroll down memory lane for a minute, shall we? Remember this…
…that time Sheaffer and I went to the Men Tell All taping in LA. This moment caught on camera summed up the day. This pic does do…
…that was me after the taping. It was like 600 hours long. Something like that. I’m pretty sure that’s how long it was. That’s at least how long it felt. You can read that recap HERE.
Okay, ready for the first WUW of 2019? Here we go!!
Well, if you need a meal plan this week, try this one…
…my Meal Planning Monday is here to make your weeknights simple!
This week, Andrew has been snowboarding with 12 of his buddies, so on Sunday night, all of the wives and kiddos got together for dinner. It was so much fun! I’m so thankful for my little community of people. The families we have met over the 13 years we’ve been in McKinney have changed our lives. When Andrew and I moved here, we knew no one. We didn’t have any friends, didn’t have a church, didn’t have co-workers…it was just us. We have truly been so blessed to find the most amazing group of people to do life with. I wish I could eat dinner with those ladies every night this week while our hubbies are away!
We’re still singing Let it Snow around here 🙂 . I’m just still so proud of my two girls for singing in their talent show!!
3: WHAT I’M LOVING:
Did you see Cassie’s new collection launch yesterday with Gibson???? OH MY RESORT WEAR!
I did an entire post on her collection yesterday because I truly am OBSESSED and cannot wait to go on vacation so that I can wear it!! I believe pieces are already selling out, so if you missed it, click HERE to see all of my favorite things. Like this…
Believe it or not, there are so many other cute pieces HERE.
4: WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO:
We are making coffee all day, every day…
…my mother-in-law bought this Leap Frog Coffee Maker for Madeley, and it has been such a HIT! Everyone is making coffee and eating cookies these days 🙂 .
Madeley even tidies it up at night and sets it right by my coffee maker. Isn’t that too funny?! Samuel was over the other day, and he played with it THE ENTIRE TIME…
…coffee, anyone? It beeps, it talks, it makes gurgling sounds just like at Starbucks. It’s totally fun!
Ashby’s next procedure is always in the back of my mind.
6: WHAT I’M WORKING ON:
We are having a BLAST sending clients on vacations this month and booking upcoming ones. Look at this cute pic that was texted to me over the weekend…
…I have been working with this family for several years. They are travelers just like Andrew and me. They are planning vacations to take after the vacation I’m currently working on. I love that! I’m always working on at least two for my family at a time. They just got off a Disney Land and Sea vacation over the weekend and are planning another vacation. I just love that!
We book a ton of Disney vacations over here, but SO MUCH MORE! We also plan trips to the Caribbean, Asia, Europe, Australia, cruises all over the world, and many, many more destinations. If you are looking to book your next vacation, we would love to help you! Email us today for more information at firstname.lastname@example.org.
WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT:
My JANUARY BOOK REVIEW is going to be THIS FRIDAY and friends, I read a lot of books and have a lot of thoughts. #somegoodandsomenotsogood
I’m excited to share my reads with you and find out what you’re reading this year!
I’m trying to finish up my last one so that I can include it this week. If not, it will be the first book of my February review.
Speaking of books, did you see this post at the end of the year?!?!
9: WHAT I’M LISTENING TO:
I’ve watched/listened while I worked to this movie in my office twice last week…
…this movie is just ADORABLE! I’m so happy to have it in my “watch over and over and over again” collection!
10: WHAT I’M WEARING:
These booties on REPEAT…
As always, I’m wearing one of those camis underneath it (I wear them every.single.solitary.day). Green is my favorite color, so that’s why I bought mine, but look at these cute colors it also comes in…
11: WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND:
Watching the Super Bowl!
If you need something yummy to enjoy on game day, look no further than here…
…it’s my favorite SUPER BOWL BITES!
I really love any occasion that calls for dip.
And those sausages.
COUNT ME IN!!!
All the yummy food right HERE.
12: WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH:
I had to sit here a minute to think about it.
You know what? I think I’m looking forward to a light calendar. We really don’t have a ton on the schedule for February, so I better enjoy it because before I know it, it will be baseball tournament season for Smith and that means #allthegames #allthetime. So, in February, I will enjoy the family time, cozy time, down time, at home time.
13: WHAT ELSE IS NEW:
I think that’s all I’ve got!
Bonus question this month: WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE FAMILY VALENTINE’S DAY TRADITION?
We always eat a diner supper on Valentine’s Day. We started this a few years ago, and it’s always something I look forward to. Me and my five loves on Valentine’s Day. Nowwwwww…this year, Andrew and Smith are out of town on Valentine’s Day. Ha! So, we will enjoy our Valentine’s Supper the day before 😉 .
That wraps up What’s Up Wednesday!
I’ll see you all back here tomorrow! xo
