This isn’t even a recipe…I’m just giving you an idea.
We typically eat some sort of salad every.single.night with dinner, and I often get asked to share our salads, so…here you go 🙂 . This is a good one! It pairs perfectly with so many things, but I particularly like it with something off the grill. I’ve said this many times before, but broccoli is my favorite “salad base”. I love you lettuce, but if you can make my salad with broccoli, then I want that every time.
There was only one thing missing this last week when I made this salad and decided to snap a pic for you…we were out of goat cheese. (Insert my sad face HERE!). We were out because I ate it all. Hahaha! That’s the only thing not pictured that I would highly recommend adding to your bowl.
Here’s what’s inside this particular salad:
1 bag of fresh (not frozen) broccoli florets (I used Trader Joe’s)
1 avocado, seed removed and chopped into bite-sized pieces
about 5 strawberries, chopped
1/2 a red onion, chopped
a big handful of slivered almonds
The zest and juice of one lemon
Poppy Seed salad dressing (I use Brianna’s Organic)
Toss everything together and enjoy! On this night, we had it with…
Happy salad making! xo

Yum! I’m obsessed with broccoli (and cauliflower, and brussels sprouts, and any cruciferous vegetables…), this is perfect! Great for summer too. 🙂

This looks yummy!!! Do you have the nightly salad plus the nightly charcuterie boards and the nightly brownies all on a daily basis?
Mix and Match Mama says
Hahaha! Sometimes! A little board as an app (a few days a week), entree and salad and then a brownie before bed.
