1st Day of School Questions!


Happy Monday, friends!  If you’ve read my blog for any length of time then you know…my favorite day of the entire year is coming up this week!  I love September 1st so much 😉 .  It just gets me excited about fall, pumpkins, football, hayrides, Halloween, twinkle lights, carols, Santa and all of that other stuff we have left to celebrate this 2019.  Anyone else????  I’m so excited!

Today, I’m sharing my kiddos’ answers to their 1st Day of School questions.  Every year, on the first day of school, I ask them these questions.  It’s always so funny to see how their answers change every year.  Even though Madeley doesn’t start school until September 3, I’m including her answers too.  Some of their answers really made me laugh this year!

Here you go!  Do you think they’ll let me still ask them these questions when they’re in high school?  #doubtful 😉

a pediatrician for kids with cancer

My first day of school dress and holiday clothes

I’m not answering that question.

I’m scared you won’t get picked to go on my field trip. (It’s a lottery system.)

    So cute! I used to do interviews with my boys when they were younger too.. one year one of the boys told me he wanted to be some sort of animal when he grew up. I didn’t even explain that that’s not how that works as I thought it was the funniest answer ever.

    A lottery system for a field trip? What in the world? You must explain that one. I live in Texas, and at our elementary school, which has 1300 kids, the PTA pays for field trips. But we pay for everyone. And everyone gets to go.

      So many parents volunteer but they can only take a certain number on the buses with them, so your name goes into a drawing to be picked.

        That’s so interesting! I live South of Dallas in Waxahachie. We aren’t even allowed to ride on the school buses to field trips.

          You aren’t? We are! The number of parents depends on what type of field trip/how many kids.

      Hi! Do your kids that love Dumbo and Alladin have as favorites the original Disney movies or remakes that recently came out? Love these interviews!!

        Ohhhhh good question! Since the remakes, they’ve been watching the originals at home, so I didn’t ask them to elaborate but it could have gone either way.

    Shay, these answers are always sooo cute! The one’s I cracked up at-Ashby naming her kiddo Shay so sweet, Madeley being nervous that Ashby won’t play with her, sweet girl, so cute that Smith wants to be a Corporate Attorney, and I love K’s answers Pediatrician, her kid’s names are a secret! They are all just too cute!

    Ahhh! I can’t believe it’s almost September! I already have my fall decorations up ? it’s been in the 70s for almost a week and school started so I figured what’s the harm ??‍♀️
