It’s the February edition of LET’S LOOK!
Once a month, Erika and I host a link up where we “look” at little aspects of our lives. If you’re a blogger, make sure you blog and link up! Please note, we always do this link up on the second Wednesday of each month, but next month, we will be doing it on March 18th instead.
Here’s what we’ve been “looking” at so far this year…
In January, we looked at our bedside tables.
And today, we’re taking a little look at our WINTER WARDROBES.
EVERY.SINGLE.TIME! Ha!
Okay, I am very much a “sweater, jeans, booties, repeat” kind of girl. I mean, I do have a little “uniform” that I repeat, but this season, I did introduce three new-ish (to me at least) things to my wardrobe. I really don’t know why it took me so long to discover/fall in love with each of them. I thought I’d share those today starting with…
Um, YES.
So, I had heard about these things for a long time, but it wasn’t until this year that I actually invested in a pair. First of all, they’re insanely comfortable. The band around the waist is high enough to not cut you off in the mid-section (plus, it really smooths you out) so whether you’re sitting or standing, they stay put and they stay comfy. Also, they don’t stretch out and get baggy/odd looking in the knees or bum like some leggings do. They really hold their shape time and time again. I actually wore mine three days last week. Three. I’m telling you, AMAZING!
I am going to be really sad when it’s no longer faux-leather legging season any more :). (Side note, my sweater is still available HERE.)
The second item that I found and loved this winter is…
My Wit & Wisdom slightly distressed jeans are just so perfect!! I have heard friends rave about this brand of denim for years, but it wasn’t until I saw this slightly distressed pair on the mannequin at the store that I thought “hmmm, I need to try those! Since then, I’ve worn them so much! In fact, as I type, I’m wearing them now for the second day in a row. I love that the waist is a nice mid-rise. I don’t like them too low and I don’t like them high, so this is just perfect. I also love that they have stretch (which makes them comfy) but they’re not baggy or shapeless either. I also love the little bit of distressing too. In other words, perfection 🙂 . Please note, I would size down once in these jeans. In the pic above, you can also find my pullover HERE.
We all know that I’ve been a Patagonia girl for years and a sweater girl too, but recently, I’ve become a sweatshirt girl. My life is very casual so a sweatshirt just works most days. I can put that on with jeans and pretty much make any occasion from therapies with my kiddos to volunteering at school to watching sports to sitting at my desk (or in my car chauffeuring the kids around!) easy. They’re soft, lighter in weight and easy to wash and dry. I’m wearing one right now 🙂 .
So, that’s my current winter wardrobe! I can’t wait to see what everyone else is wearing in the link up!!
Next month…
…I’m going to show you a peek inside my purse!! Don’t forget, that link up will be on March 18th!
Okay, what’s your favorite winter wardrobe piece?! I would love to know!!!!
See you guys back here tomorrow! xx

I love your boots with your Wit and Wisdom Jeans(very comfy)!!! Where did you get them??? I need them!!!!! You should try Judy Blue Jeans, amazing stretch and fit!!! So many different styles. My new favorites.
Mix and Match Mama says
Sorel! Okay, looking those up right now!!
Jeannie Bruce says
I love Judy Blue, but definitely size down. They seem to get baggier as the day goes on too. Where I would normally were a 20 I wear a 16 in Judy Blue.

I’m in agreement about the leggings. I have the leopard faux-leggings by Spanx and love them. (my weird sister hates them).

Winter…UGG waterproof wedges with fur and GAP cute flannel shirt (adorable this season) and so soft, and Patagonia coat. My new spring transition piece are joggers from Athleta in black and camo. They are my uniform with UGG slippers when I come home. I just got that cute striped sweatshirt from Target and it is wonderful, so thank you for that tip!

Love this! I’ve started wearing more skirts recently so for winter it’s been either a dress, or some kind of skirt/top, a cozy cardigan, leggings and Hunter boots. I also almost always have a scarf on! I just read your bedside table post too and love that you have some Jennifer L Scott books on there. I love her books and YouTube channel. 🙂

I tried the faux leather leggings last year but lost weight (yay) and they looked ridiculous this year (boo). Bought a new pair in a new size (yay) and they are perfect!! So excited to have to go-to staple to pull out on days when I want a change from my jeans, tee and cardi. Lovin’ sweatshirts, too!! That black and white one is adorable. And I need a camo. Thanks for doing the shopping for us and providing the links!

That reality versus expectations meme made me laugh; I definitely feel that way 98% of the time!

I would love a post of suggestions for Easter dresses/outfits. Even better if they are less than $50!
