Happpppy Tuesday!
Okay, I’ve had a sticky note on my desk for about 3 months now that says “Peloton app”. This year, I’ve had so many of you ask me who my favorite instructors are/which classes I like the most/which programs I use/etc from the app, so today, I’m going to share and then toss that note 😉 . I thought this was the perfect topic for the monthly Tuesday Talk with Ashley and Erika!!
After years and years and years of doing programs/apps/YouTube workouts/Pinterest workouts/other programs from home, truly from the bottom of my heart, I think this one app is all you need. It has EVERYTHING. From cycling to yoga, mediation, dance, stretching, bootcamp, cardio, strength, walking, running…all in one place. I have spent over a decade sharing my workout faves with you, so I want to be clear today: This is the best app I’ve ever used for working out at home, and I can’t imagine you needing to use anything else to supplement.
Okay, let me break down how I use the app for you.
First things first…
You do not need a Peloton bike to have the app.
I want to make sure that’s clear!!!
You do not need the bike to have the app. In fact, I NEVER use the app when riding my bike (I use the TV monitor that comes on the bike). I only use the app when doing other things. So, even if you do not have a bike, I totally, totally, totally think you should consider the app.
When it comes to CYCLING, here is what I love:
Favorite instructors: Robin or Alex
Favorite classes: ’80s or ’90s Pop
Hardest classes that kick my butt and therefore are probably the best for me: Tabata with Robin
Length of classes I like: 30 to 45 minutes
Robin is one of the VPs at Peloton One and kicks my butt no matter what class she’s teaching. She’s tough and her workouts are ALWAYS amazing!!!
When it comes to YOGA, here is what I love:
Favorite instructors: Kristin or Anna (I have been doing Kristin’s yoga for TWENTY years! I was so excited when she joined Peloton!!)
Favorite classes: intermediate or advanced Power Yoga
Other Faves: I love their yoga library where they break down poses in five minute increments so you can really learn and perfect different specific poses.
Length of classes I like: 45 to 65 minutes
When it comes to OUTDOOR, here is what I love:
Now, please note, I don’t run on a treadmill, so I do the OUTDOOR running classes, but there is an entirely different section for treadmill running workouts that you could totally use at your home or local gym.
Favorite instructors: Robin, Andy or Rebecca
Favorite classes: intermediate or advanced intervals
Other Faves: I also love that if you’re not already a runner, you could do one of their walk/run combo classes to prepare you
Length of classes I like: 30 or 45 minutes
When it comes to STRENGTH, here is what I love:
Andrew snapped this pic of me trying to do a Peloton strength workout…but Yankee wanted to lay right there. Ha!
Favorite instructors: Andy, Emma or Robin
Favorite classes: You can do whole body or work specific parts, I almost always like to target my upper body (arms/back/chest)
Other Faves: I like to do the quick 5 minute ab workouts every day.
Length of classes I like: 20 minutes
When it comes to STRETCHING, here is what I love:
Favorite instructors: Leanne, Emma or Alex
Favorite classes: Legs!! Any sort of lower body stretch.
Other Faves: I always stretch after cycling or running!! These quick little workouts are the perfect way to end a workout.
Length of classes I like: 5 minutes
There is a little breakdown of my faves! I don’t always stick to the same things/same instructors but time and time again, these are the classes (and people) who never let me down and always make me feel like I’ve had a great workout.
If you love your Peloton app too and want to share your favorite classes and instructors, please do so!! I’d love to try some new things! I like to keep my Peloton handle private, but occassionally, I’ll cycle under @mixandmatchmama. If you want to connect with other people, feel free to leave your handle in the comment section too!
One last thing, if you missed our last Tuesday Talk…
…where I answered your questions about all of that yard stuff, you can see that one HERE.
That’s it for today!! See you guys tomorrow!! xo
Shauna says
LOVE, LOVE this post & all of the Peloton content! The app is such a steal for the amount of amazing content you get! Jess’s Family Cardio workouts are fun to do with the kids! And you are right, Robin is guaranteed to always kick your butt no matter the type of workout you are doing! Love her!
Mix and Match Mama says
During the spring, my kids and I did that so many times as our “PE”!
Lauren says
If I have the pelaton bike is the app
For free?
Mix and Match Mama says
It’s part of what you’re already paying for your monthly subscription! Download it, login and go!
Suzanne says
I use the Peleton app to cycle on my non-Peleton spin bike and it’s still such a great workout. Obviously, I have to guess on resistance and cadence but if you don’t get hung up on that, it’s a fun workout that will leave you covered in sweat!
Stacy Tsoukatos says
I’ve heard there is a cheap like under $50 add on you can get off amazon to hook on your bike that will give you cadence and resistance measurements if you wanna know.
Lori C says
I have used the Sweat App and love it for strength training. Obviously, I know the Peloton app has many other types of workouts, but has anyone used Sweat and can you share how you like Peloton in comparison. Thanks!
Kate says
My favorite cycle instructor is Olivia!!
Renee says
I think Olivia is toughest instructor. I like her.
Jennifer says
Olivia is HARD!!!!
Megan says
I’m a big fan of Robin and Tunde for spin and Aditi for yoga. Are you participating in the pelathon challenges this month? They’ve got me motivated to try some new instructors and pushing me to get on for life classes since I usually just hop on when it’s convenient for me and I take
the encore or past classes. I’m also getting into the meditations.
Renee says
I love my Peloton bike and the app. Emma is my favorite instructor, but I ride with most of the instructors. Hannah Frankson has some great workouts. Her HIIT ride from 7-15-20 was so good and challenging. I also love her arm toning workouts. Leanne’s arm toning workouts are also really good. I love doing core and yoga workouts also. I was never into yoga before but I really like the power yoga classes and I also do the intermediate and advanced flow classes.
When everything shut down in March, it was such a blessing to have the bike and the app. Our kids started both and it really help them maintain fitness and even gain some strength before swimming resumed.
I am wearing bikinis for the first time since having kids 15 years ago. I have always worked out but Peloton has helped me take my workouts to another level. Thank you for sharing your workouts because you made me consider the bike and we have had it for 18 months now. Best purchase ever!

Thanks for sharing!! I wish I had a Peloton too haha!!

I don’t have a bike, but I am obsessed with the app. I have a non Peloton treadmill and LOVE Jess Sims-especially her Saturday 60 minute boot camps. Her strength classes are amazing too!
CampDallas says
Jess Sims is my FAVE!!!
Courtney says
Robin is also my go to for a tough class! Cody makes me laugh and makes the time go by so quickly. His Britney ride was perfection 🙂
I recently discovered Jess Sims for strength classes… she is hard, but in a good way! Thanks for sharing. I want to try some yoga next.
Tiffany says
Jess Simms is my new favorite discovery on the app! Her full 30 min full body strength classes are great. I esp love her live from home ones, as he dog often crashes the scene mid workout.
Mindy Galloway says
Robin, Cody and Jess Sims are my favs as well!! They are so motivating, entertaining and have such amazing personalities!
Sarah Shaneyfelt says
I absolutely love the Peloton bike and the app!! I mainly ride the bike, but sometimes I’ll do a different workout in the living room. The strength workouts are my second favorite. My favorite instructor is Cody because he keeps things light and funny–and that’s great when I feel like dying on the bike LOL!!!
My handle is saraheshaneyfel
MeetTheShaneyfelts
Brianna says
Ahhh yes I love the bike(especially during the Chicago winters) but the app it self is the best at home workout library. The outdoor runs give me that extra push when I’m dragging in the morning and I never ever used to stretch until I started using the app!
Tracy says
How much does it cost?
Mix and Match Mama says
I think it’s $12.99 a month plus tax.
Stephanie Anderson says
We love our Peloton bike…hands down the best piece of exercise equipment we have purchased. My husband and I both agree. My husband who does weights on his own has done a couple core classes with me on the app has now started to incorporate some of those into his workouts. I love the strength (Andy, Selena, Robin, Emma, Olivia and now Adrian). Hands down Kristin is my favorite yoga instructor! And for the bike it’s almost hard to choose. Robin is my absolute favorite but I do love Kendall, Emma, Ally, Cody, and Jess King too.
Rhonda says
Thanks for sharing! I also just learned that the Peloton app was recently added to Roku and other streaming devices. I have a large tv in my workout room and that just seems more appealing than using my phone for those types of actual workouts!
Sande Wier says
Great to know! Thanks!
Carole says
This is great and perfect timing! I got the app a couple weeks ago, and promptly got overwhelmed so was thinking of canceling, So thank you for the recs – now I can try these and finally get started!!
Pamela D says
I am obsessed with the app. I use it daily and preach about it to anyone who will listen. I use with a non-Peloton tread and also do lots of the shorter strength and stretch videos (5-10 min). If you were feeling overwhelmed…maybe try using the filter function. I love that I can drill down by music choice as everyone has such different tastes. And of course it filters by duration. The “fun” runs and rides might be an easier way to ease in and get a feel for the different instructors. My faves are Olivia and Becs for tread (and Oliver before he left) Emma for Arms Toning, and Ben and Hannah F. on the bike (as I have a general preference for EDM music). Also any class that says Caribbean fun run/ride just puts a smile on my face no matter what! Good luck, I hope you stick with it! It’s the first fitness program that’s ever stuck with me and it’s now 1 year in 🙂
Kelly B says
For someone who hates to workout, go to the gym, anything…I LOVE peloton. It’s amazing! I now ride the bike everyday and use most of the other things on the app. For those not as fit and athletic as Shay, I promise there are tons of things you can begin with and still feel successful, and build your way up. I’ve been doing the guided walks/power walks and love the playlists and how they have upped by pace. The instructions are fantastic and so encouraging. Love ending the night with meditation too. Peloton content is simply amazing for ALL levels of fitness. Beginners, don’t be afraid.
Becky says
If you haven’t tried a Sam Yo class yet, he has great 80s playlists and also had a recent 10 minute arms toning that was all Disney songs!
Stacy Tsoukatos says
I’ve only done two of his classes but he is quickly becoming a fave. His smile is infectious!
Kat says
I did that one! It was fun! 🙂
Marie D. says
The offer a FREE 30 day trial of the app which is a great way to see what it is all about. I have the app and absolutely LOVE it. I have a spin bike (not a peloton) and use the app for cycling and strength. I have tried some of the other formats, but it seems that I always use these two the most. Kendall kicks my butt for cycling, and Cody makes me laugh. I also love all of the theme rides, Lizzo ride was my fave! I am addicted to the Peloton app! It truly has everything you need in one place, and I love the visual with it. I had another app (Aaptiv) that I used to use but is only audio, the video that goes with the workouts on Peloton is super helpful!
Dustie Day says
100% agree with you. I’ve tried many apps for working out at home and this is by far the best. The variety and the instructors are all amazing! Now, just need the bike ; )
Dana says
Alex T. and Cody are my top two! I got the bike in March, 2 weeks into quarantine. Saved my sanity since OTF was closed.
Mix and Match Mama says
I looooooove Alex!!!
Ellen Harper says
When will you post about your Hawaii cruise?
Mix and Match Mama says
Probably this fall.
Jenna says
Jess Sims has the best strength classes, I am always sore the next day! Her and Robin are my go-to’s!!!
Paige says
I love my peleton bike and use the app every single day. My favorite instuctor hands down is Denis Morton. His voice is calm, he is encouraging, constantly reminds you of correct positioning and tells great stories haha!
Mix and Match Mama says
I love him in yoga too!!
Stephanie says
Love Denis!
Jamie Henningsgaard says
Robin and Olivia are my favorite for cycling by far!!! I have a hard time even wanting to try someone else because they are so good.
Mix and Match Mama says
That’s my problem with Robin too! Whenever I try someone else, I always think “I bet Robin could have made that harder/better/more challenging”. It’s hard NOT to use her!
Megan says
You should definitely try Jess sims for strength classes! Every time I try a different instructor for strength I’m disappointed because they’re not as hard or good of a workout!
Faith says
I agree with this so much, Megan. I started with Oliver before he left and went on to Jess. Then when I tried to branch out I felt like it wasn’t as challenging.
Sarah says
I love Sundays with Love with Ally Love! She is so sweet and inspiring. That’s hands down my favorite cycle class. I love the 10 minute arm toning or 5 minute abs right after a cycle class. I usually get about 45 minutes total for my workouts each morning before my kiddos wake up 🙂
Alyssa says
I am obsessed with the Peloton App after trying it out during quarantine. My favorite is yoga with Kristin, Aditi, and Anna. I also love Emma and Olivia’s core classes, and Olivia’s HIIT classes, they are killer! I ordered the bike a month ago, but it’s still about a month away from delivery because they’re so popular!! My username is @lyssyinthecity
Abbey says
I love the Peloton app and I’m the opposite, I use it mostly for running on our treadmill! It’s been a saving grace during the quarantine. I love the strength and stretching ones as well! They have cute workouts for the family too since my girls like to work out with me sometimes. Tip: Make sure to pick the family ones or they might hear a cuss word or two! 😉
Shannon says
Question… would my husband need to pay the monthly fee for a separate account if he wanted to use the app, or could he use mine?
Mix and Match Mama says
We have two profiles on one account! I think you can set up to maybe five?
Jessica Moyer says
The app ($12.99) is limited to only one user per account. You and your husband could share your account but then your workouts would be combined. The bike subscription which Shay has is more expensive ($39 per month) and allows more users.
Misty says
I got the app back in April when I really needed something to keep me moving. It was when they were doing 90 days free, and I have done something almost everyday from it. I love that it is all right there, and you are right you don’t need anything else. My favorite instructors are Robin and Andy, but have taken a variety of ones. I don’t actually have the bike so I only use the app and feel that I am definitely satisfied with the app and the instructors.
Jamie says
60 min bootcamps with Jess Sims are a killer (in the best way!) workout! Alternating 10 mins on the tread and ten min on the floor for an hour!
Elspeth says
I really love how you change up your routine every day. Plus I’m sure it keeps it interesting and not boring. Thank you for sharing!!

Laura Wolf says
Thanks for sharing! Our bike is going to be delivered next week, and I can’t wait. I haven’t checked out the app yet, but plan on doing it today!
Kristen says
It’s nuts how much I love the Peloton app. I think this is the first time I’ve ever been excited about fitness and genuinely look forward to my workouts! I agree with you – if you have the Peloton app, it’s all you’ll ever need fitness-wise. My absolute favorite, go-to, never-lets-me-down instructor is Jess Sims…she is so motivating, and packs so much into her workouts that I always feel like I didn’t waste one second of my time.
Tracy Abraham says
I got my Peleton in late February so it has been a lifesaver in all this mess! I love Denis Morton and Christine D’Ercole. I love her iamicaniwillido way of changing your chatter to being positive. I have tried Robyn, Cody, Tunde, Sam, Ally, Jess, Hannah, Ben, Leanne, Cody….. I keep trying all of them!
This was my daughter’s PE for the last semester of school so she has loved it too. It is fun doing strength or Yoga workouts with her. Money well spent!!
Tiffany says
We bought our bike for my husband’s 50th. I didn’t think I’d be that interested in spinning, but find that I use the bike more than him. It’s the best workout! I love Jenn Sherman, Cody, Ally, Olivia, and Alex…but Jenn and Cody are my top faves, The All for One rides are a great way to get a feel for all the instructors.
For outdoors, I love Matt Wilpers and Robin. For strength Robin and Jess Simms are my favorite. During last week’s Pelothon challenge I tried abs w Adrian and really liked his class. (#breakthroughcrew).
Sleep meditation w Ross are the best when I can’t turn my mind off at night.
I also have a Daily Burn subscription, but don’t use it anymore. Peloton is my go-to for everything!
Christina Adamson says
I love Love the Peloton app, but do not like when the songs or instructors start yelling profanities. I wish there was a place where they would indicate it in the description. It’s gotten me in trouble a few times when I’m doing the workouts with my kids around!
Mix and Match Mama says
I feel like they used to do a much better job of saying at the beginning of the ride whether it’s explicit or not. Leanne hardly ever, ever, ever uses explicit songs or curses.
Tracy Abraham says
I feel you! There is in your preferences an explicit language toggle that you can turn on and it will get rid of most of the language. That’s why I don’t appreciate Alex as I find him to be the worst??
Melissa says
Love Jess Sims for strength!
Stephanie says
I bought a spin bike from amazon in February after my other bike died. I use it along with the app and LOVE IT. My favorite instructors are Kendall (metal/rock rides), Denis (rock rides) and Sam (AWESOME 80’s rides). I’m getting a better workout at home than I ever did before. I think it’s because I can pretty much pick a class according to my mood. The Peloton app has saved my sanity!! I love it so much that I will be canceling my gym membership (if the gym even opens again..ugh)
Anne says
Can you share which bike you bought from Amazon? Thanks.
Stephanie says
It’s the Yosuda indoor cycling bike. Looks like it’s back in stock. I did have an issue with the resistance knob but the company sent a new one and it’s even better than before. Highly recommended!
Kerry says
I have the same bike and just this morning started having resistance issues. Good to know they are responsive to customer’s issues!
Brittany Stevens says
I love our Peloton! Cody & Emma are my favorite. @mrsbrittstevens
Melissa says
Where did you get your yellow top and blue leggings?
Mix and Match Mama says
Both are not current, but the top is Athleta and the tights are Nordstrom!
Deanna says
You just do the Whitney Houston ride – so good!
Mande says
Cody Rigsby for spin! His Britney Spears class this week ?
Alisha says
ooh I haven’t seen that one. Doing it tonight – He’s my favorite!
Mary C says
I have the peloton app on my Roku TV, and love it. I do all the sculpt videos, all the instructors are great don’t think I could pick one. I also love the meditation videos. 5 minute guided medititation after my workout always feels great!
Julie says
I got the app a year ago and it’s become such a part of my daily routine! I do a meditation every morning and my favorites are Aditi and Kristin. I love the courage meditations for days where I’m lacking inspiration :). I have another brand of indoor bike but it works just fine with the app. I love Robin too and also Kendall. She’s fun and plays great 80s music. I used to hate outdoor exercise and last summer, I did 3 outdoor workouts faithfully each week! I loved the run/walk mixes and this summer with the kids home, I’ve been doing more walks. Did you know you can share your Peloton workout on your kids’ AirPods? My son and I were able to do a walking workout together that way…he somehow set it up so he could hear what was on my phone? Anyway, I agree, this is the only app you need to get great workouts!
Taylor says
The Greatest Showman ride with Robin is my all time favorite rides!
Mix and Match Mama says
MINE TOO!!!! I bet I’ve done it five times!!!
Melissa says
I love peloton too! But still trying to find a groove on a good weekly workout schedule. You mentioned daily 5 min core and 5 min stretching after you run it bike. When do you fit in the 29 min strength? And how long is your workout daily. Just looking for advice on a manageable workout schedule 🙂
Jessica Moyer says
I am an app user and agree that it contains fantastic workouts and is so comprehensive that I will be canceling my ClassPass and Gym memberships…
I use a Sunny bike from Amazon and added a cadence meter to help gauge my efforts and I get a great workout with doing my resistance on perceived effort.
There are so many instructors that I suggest trying short (10-20 min) workouts with lots of instructors. The current challenge (Pelothon) includes taking classes from some instructors I had never tried and I quickly realized I needed to diversify more!
If you are an app user, I recommend joining the “Peloton Digital App Users” group on Facebook. Users post favorite workouts and information about non-peloton bikes if you are interested in buying a cheaper version.
Kristal Strong says
Oh my goodness, I LOVE the Peloton app so much!! I started using it in May and have never looked back. I feel stronger, in better shape and more confident from consistently doing my Peloton workouts than any other form of exercise I have previously done. I just love it! My go to instructors are Jess, Robin and Becs. There are several others that I gravitate towards and enjoy taking classes from, but these 3 would be my go to. If you haven’t done Becs Gentry’s 10 min Full Body Stretch, I highly recommend doing it. That stretching class is by the far the best stretching class I have ever done and I feel so good afterwards!
Faith says
I’ve never been to a gym and I’m a huge Peloton fan now. I don’t have the bike but love the variety and constant new classes. This made me enjoy working out every day. Jess and Aditi’s classes are so good!
Stacy Tsoukatos says
So I have a cycling partner and we do the workouts together and use the video chat. We don’t talk since it’s intense but it’s cool to see each of our numbers. My fave instructors are Cody and Robin but my partner didn’t like Cody and so we tried others. He loves Leeanne, Jenn and Emma. They are all so good – u can’t go wrong. Now we typically pick off playlists and anything 80s/90s gets our vote.
Jen says
This is making me excited for my peloton bike. It’s coming in another 4 weeks (it was an 8 week wait). I guess I really need to use the app for other workouts in the meantime. Thanks for all the recommendations ladies!
Lisa Willey says
LOVE all things Peloton! The community and classes are amazing. They are so motivating and encouraging. Here are my favorites:
Bike – Jess K, Hannah, Ally L.
Strength – Jess Simms, Selena S
Oh and GO #GritAndGraceGang!!!
I workout under @Lisa_Will
Kaylee F. says
What are your go to shoes for running and working out? I need something new with support. I always trust your recommendations.
Mix and Match Mama says
Right now, I’m wearing Adidas Ultraboost 20s!
Jennifer says
I loved this post! I adore my Peloton and have been so thankful for it over these past few months. My favorite instructors are Denis, Cody and Emma. I do like the others but I tend to ride with them the most. Denis is a solid instructor and his music is amazing. Cody is just fun and Emma is chill but tough. I love Jess Simms for strength. Her 30 minutes full body classes are my favorite. I always do Emma’s core and Hannah for stretching. I’ve been branching out to some Yoga and I like Denis the best. Just trying to keep this 48yo body limber and strong. #NYTXgirl
Brittany Owensby says
I really like the Peloton bike rides with the upper body workout incorporated into the ride. It gives you small little breaks between your rides, plus I never realized how sore I could be from low point weights! ha!
Lauren Chudzik says
Love my peloton and the app as well. I find that they don’t have too many outdoor run classes, so I sometimes do their regular treadmill runs outside as well. The interval classes work especially well for this since you usually don’t need to worry about inclines. Just turn around half way through your class!
Lauren says
I just got my Peloton and I’m on day 4! This post is great, thanks for sharing! I’m now going to try a ride with Robin this morning.
Lori Helms says
I love my Peloton! I just finished Robins 4 week Tabata program and Andy’s Total strength program. Both were amazing. I want to do the total strength program again with heavier weights once I can find them. I’ve looked everywhere for free weights and they are all sold out or super expensive! #crazyrunnergrl
Alisha says
I got a Sunny heath & fitness indoor cycling bike for mothers day and it’s the best! We couldn’t rationalize the cost of the peloton bike, however I use the peloton app and it works great on my iPad on my Sunny bike!
Cody is my FAVORITE. He’s hilarious and keeps me laughing during his classes. I usually do the themed ones – backstreet boys with Cody is my favorite! I also typically do a 5 minute core strength workout after a cycling class!

I’m so glad you did a post on this! I love my peloton and love the app! Try Matt’s power zone rides. Emma’s rides are also great. #BeeBest
Chrys says
I absolutely love Jess Sims for any strength training classes and Olivia Amato for core work. Her 10-minute core classes are a KILLER! Girlfriend does not play and I LOVE it!
Kerri says
Quit my gym through quarantine and got the Peloton. waiting a while for delivery, but have had it for 3 weeks and I love it! I think Robin is one of my fav’s! I also like Cody!
Ericka says
Love the Peloton bike! What is your username on there? I love to follow what other rides people are doing!
Mix and Match Mama says
I keep my username private but sometimes ride under @mixandmatchmama !
Sheaffer Sims says
Such an informative post!
Stephanie says
Do you need to watch app videos on your phone for the workouts? Or can you strictly do workouts where you just listen? Also — unrelated but where is your neon Apple Watch from?
Mix and Match Mama says
The Outdoor workouts (like my running ones) are audio only so that you just listen and do not watch. And from the apple store but years ago!
Ginger C says
Does the app have any classes that are geared to seniors (65+)?
Mix and Match Mama says
That’s a great question! I’m not sure if they have specific classes but they have all sorts of low-impact/moderate workouts and the descriptions really let you know exactly what the class is targeting (even every song that will be played!).
Chrissy says
I looooove Jess Sims! She’s so fun and positive–and a great workout!
Courtney says
I love the peloton app! I mostly use it on the treadmill and I’ve done some outdoor walks. I’ve been trying things out of my comfort zone like yoga and meditation, that I would never have tried without the app.
I plan to get a spin bike soon, but I am not getting a Peloton bike. I won’t use it that often and can’t rationalize the expense. I’m loving the weekly challenges though. (I’m in the #nolimitlegions group!)
Robin and Andy are my favorite instructors so far. I am new to the app, so I can’t wait to try some other instructors!!
Kristin says
I got the Peloton app a few weeks ago because of you and I’m obsessed! It’s my “me” time after having baby #2
Maggie says
I don’t have a bike or tread, but I love the Peloton app and use it almost daily. I like the body weight strength classes because you don’t need any equipment. Anna is my favorite for yoga. I wish I was more of a runner because I love Becs Gentry. Her beginner body weight strength class was the first Peloton class I ever took and I was totally hooked. Cody’s cardio dance classes are fun too!
Najla says
Love love love this post! Thank you sweet friend!
Suzanne says
Sadly you can’t get the app in Australia ☹️
Mix and Match Mama says
Really? That stinks!
Jaime says
I love your watch band. Is it the regular “yellow” or is it the “lemon cream”??
Mix and Match Mama says
I bought it probably three years ago…when I bought it, I think it was just called “lemon”.
Kara says
Thank you for sharing all of this information! When you do your outdoor runs, do you bring your phone with you? I tried using it today with just my apple watch but as soon as I left home, it stopped working, so I was curious if you could do the running classes without carrying the phone?
Mix and Match Mama says
If I’m doing a Peloton outdoor, then yes, I bring my phone with me!
Jackie says
It definitely looks like you are using Yankee as a foam roller in that one picture!! I’m a running coach and have seen lots of creative objects used to foam roll, but never a dog 😉
Mix and Match Mama says
This made me LOL!
Merri says
I’ve had my peloton for three years and love the app too. Actually having hysterectomy next week (thank you for your post!) and wonder how long did you wait before riding peloton or exercising again after? I’m going to ask dr too but you seemed to have great recovery and results. Thanks!
Mix and Match Mama says
I hope you’re recovering well!!! They have great low-impact rides on the bike, so I started back at four weeks with those (after my post-op appointment, of course!).
WhittyWife says
Shay, you’ve convinced me! I think I’ll take a 30-day break from my current workouts and try this app! ? How do you schedule your cardio and strengh workouts (i.e. do you have a schedule like M/W/F runs/cardio and T/Th/S strength, etc.)? I’m curious how many days you do of each and how you switch it up.
Mix and Match Mama says
You will LOVE it!! Please keep me posted on what you think!!! I do two really hard strength days a week and then run about 4 days. I try to sneak in yoga once or twice (sometimes, more…).
Leah Reinemund says
Try out a Cody Rigsby ride–90s pop! You won’t be sorry!!
