If you’re new around here, on the last Wednesday of every month, Sheaffer and I host this little linky party where we share what’s going on with us right now. It’s a little food, a little family, a little what we’re wearing, a little what we’re doing, a little what we’re watching and a little bit of everything else all in one post.
Friends, July is almost over! Typically, I’m sad to see months go by…but this month, I’m kind of happy. I’m ready to move on to August 🙂 .
Here’s a little look at what’s going on…
1: WHAT WE’RE EATING THIS WEEK:
Have you made my Cornbread & Peach Panzanella Salad?! It’s a-mazing!!!!! You can see it plus my entire meal plan for the week HERE!
Also this week, we’re enjoying…
…my Chicken Enchiladas Verdes because they’re SO EASY and really SO DELISH!!
And then today’s recipe is…
…my Gluten-Free Taco Pasta that you should make regardless if you eat gluten or not. It is so easy, so full of flavor and such a crowd-pleaser!!
One more recipe you should consider because it’s a-mazing…
2. WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT:
Guuuuuuuuuuys…
…this little nugget is about to start KINDERGARTEN!
Insert me sobbing right here.
Hard.
How can that be?!
I’m not ready?
I feel like this is a HUGE year for the Shull kids and my mama heart does not want to accept it.
We have one starting kinder, one starting middle school, one in fifth grade and one in second grade (which sounds significantly bigger than first grade). Whether they distant learn/go back/do a combo…it is still a hard pill for me to swallow.
(Side note: I feel like it changes every day what our district is doing, so I cannot tell you yet what we’re doing…playing it by ear would be my response 😉 ).
3: WHAT I’M LOVING:
Did you see this on Monday’s post…
…okay, I’m really obsessed with my new jewelry thing from Amazon!
Here is what mine looks like (both front and back)…
…I have drawers in my bathroom where I store my jewelry, but honestly, even after my bathroom is put back together, I still think I’m going to use THIS. It’s so much easier to see everything and nothing gets tangled up or damaged.
4: WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO:
Decisions.
Decisions.
Decisions.
We waited years to start building our house, so even though there were so many decisions to make, I felt prepared. Right now, I feel like I’ve been thrown in the deep end and told to start swimming. My only saving grace? MY PINTEREST BOARDS! Girls, it was like I had been subconsciously training for this event for a decade. The minute Andrew told me we were starting over in several rooms, I opened up my boards and started picking ideas from there. Who knew Pinning would come in handy in an emergency situation?! 😉
Speaking of decisions…
…it’s happening.
I went with Sherwin-Williams’ Moderate White and am LOVING it!!!!!!! They’re painting as much as they can right now and then will finish once all of the construction is over.
5: WHAT I’M DREADING:
Ohhhhhh…well. Okay. Ashby’s next surgery is going to be a BIG one.
Even bigger than the others.
So, I’m very much dreading that for her sake.
I fully trust it’s the right thing to do, but I’m dreading it nonetheless.
6: WHAT I’M WORKING ON:
Today? I’m working on finishing up my JULY BOOK REVIEW and picking the books for our SUMMER BOOK CLUB in August! I’m so excited about this!! Tomorrow is the big day, so make sure you come back to chat all things books with me and to see the new books we’ll be reading in August.
7: WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT:
Is it too early for me to start saying fall?
8: WHAT I’M WATCHING/READING:
Okay, like I said, my JULY Book Review is tomorrow, so make sure you come on back for that!! I’m kind of in a TV watching lull right now. I need another Gilmore Girls. Or Hart of Dixie. Or Virgin River to watch. Any suggestions? I liked All American, but the subject is heavy. I’m not really wanting heavy this time around. Also, I know I mentioned this on Friday…
…but my family can’t quit this one 🙂 .
I would die.
Literally, be dead.
I could not eat what they have to eat. That alone would be my demise.
9: WHAT I’M LISTENING TO:
Right this minute? Diana Krall. She’s so cool.
10: WHAT I’M WEARING:
Right this minute?
A wet swimsuit and coverup.
Ha! You mean other than that though, right?
If I’m not in a swimsuit or pjs, I keep toggling back and forth between…
TANK//SPORTS BRA//SHORTS//PHONE BAND//SNEAKERS
…my workout clothes or…
…cute easy to wear dresses. I cannot stop wearing this dress either…
…I’ve worn it twice in the last seven days! Love!!!
11: WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND:
We don’t have any plans!! This is our first weekend without a baseball tournament since the end of May. I’m thinking we’ll be in the pool most of the weekend because it’s HOT outside.
12: WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH:
I’m ready to start talking back to school!
I’m excited about the food/snacks/lunches.
I’m excited about the apple recipes.
I’m just excited for a change.
13: WHAT ELSE IS NEW:
That’s it for today!
Okay, I’m off to put the finishing off tomorrow’s book review now. Link up if you also blogged today! I’ll see you tomorrow! xo
Ahna @ Hammers N Hugs says
Hmm, have you ever seen the show “Chuck”? Action, mystery, romance, and hilarious characters that don’t take themselves too seriously.
Courtney Downing says
One of our favorites as well!!
Mary Ashleigh Craver says
Virgin River will be back in September!! Can’t wait!
Lisa says
Hi Shay! What size did you buy in the camo dress? Thanks!!
Mix and Match Mama says
xsmall!
Rhonda Hatfield says
Try Sweet Magnolias on Netflix. I need another Heart Of Dixie
Sheila K says
I was also looking for a light show to binge watch – I found Royal Pains (used to be on USA back when Monk and Psych were on) – it’s quite good – worth watching if you have not already. Have a wonderful Wednesday!
WhittyWife says
Yes!! I adore Royal Pains!
Joanne says
We still don’t know what’s up with schooling here either and have been told that even once decisions have been made they can change right up until the day they start school. Our cases have been trending downwards for some time now but school are still scrambling to figure out if/how to keep kids distanced, safe of the buses, etc. I just may need to invest in a few of those jewelry organizers (yeah, I said few… I have TONS of costume jewelry since I used to be a demonstrator for a jewelry company). It’s so hard to keep all my jewelry organized and find a system that also allows me to see and wear much of what I have.
Emily says
Have you ever watched Parenthood? I can’t remember. Great way to get a Lauren Graham fix after GG.
Mix and Match Mama says
YES!!! Loved it!!
Kay says
Try watching Schitts Creek! Very light and funny.
Leslie says
Agree! We’ve been sailing through the episodes. So funny!
Carly says
We started Schitt’s Creek last week and it is hysterical!! Definitely recommend watching it!!
Katelin O'Brien says
Schitt’s Creek is the best!!!
Amy says
Definitely recommend!
Jamie S. says
YES!!! Another vote for Schitt’s Creek!
Sarah Shaneyfelt says
I’m so glad that your house is starting to see some progress!! Love the paint color, too!
MeetTheShaneyfelts
Heather says
We watched Alone and found there are 3 other seasons on Hulu. It was on the History Channel also if you have that. I can´t be hungry for more than 15 minutes so I also would struggle to survive. Now every time I get hungy I tell my husband that I am worried that my body is eating my organs…lol.
Leslie says
Hey, if your kitchen is M.I.A. – where are you cooking? That would be a fun post! (Having lived upstairs through a renovation, I feel your pain. I did it with just hubs and myself – adding 4 kiddos into the mix qualifies you for sainthood!)
Mix and Match Mama says
We can still cook right now…it’s just kind of crazy around it.
Amanda @ Cupcake N Dreams says
Shay you have to watch Schitt’s Creek! It’s the perfect summer show right now with 22 minute episodes and hilarious characters. I can totally see how Pinterest boards are a saving grace for home renovations. Hope you guys have a great weekend in the pool!
Amanda @ Cupcake N Dreams
Jenny Alford says
Have you seen Sweet Magnolia yet on Netflix? It’s very much along the lines of virgin river…reminds me of a hallmark movie series! Check it out!
Danielle says
another vote for Sweet Magnolia…so good
Kelly M Sites says
Thanks for the Alone suggestion- we LOVE IT. WOW- eating a mouse. NOPE. I’m a disaster response nurse, so I live like they life often, in harsh environments in the world, and eat weird stuff. But NOPE on many of the things they do and eat. Fun show. We are nearing the end- then I’m super sad that it’s over.
Krista K says
I think you would like Sweet Magnolias on Netflix if you liked Virgin River and Heart of Dixie.
April says
Yes! Agree! ❤️
Paula Bacon says
I second this!! A great show on Netflix but sadly the 2nd season won’t be out for a while yet. I will definitely re-watch it again before the 2nd season.
Meg says
Jane the Virgin and Lucifer are really goods shows on Netflix.
Amy says
Sweet Magnolia’s on Netflix is really good. It’s like a mix of Virgin River and Hart of Dixie!
Katie Mayeaux says
That was going to be my suggestion too! I really enjoyed Sweet Magnolias.
Rebecca Jo Vincent says
That Pumpkin /Fall meme is totally me! Bring on all the fall things!!!!
ALready praying for that next surgery!!!
Mix and Match Mama says
Thank you so much!!!!
Amanda says
Just want to thank you for your recommendation on the coconut toffee cashews you told us about this week! Came today and I already had to hide the bag from my husband! They are so delicious!
Mix and Match Mama says
YAY!!!! They’re like candy, right?!
Amanda says
Yes they truly are! Ordering another bag this week ?
Karen says
I just looked up SW Moderate White and from everything you’ve said about your house and taste it looks perfect for you! It is so nice and warm!
Mix and Match Mama says
I’m already loving it!!!
Kristina says
Sweet Magnolias is a cute show on Netflix but sadly it is only one season so far.
Kristy Moore says
There’s a second season coming!
Dianna says
I second this. Sweet Magnolias is a great light watch, very hallmark-y. I watched it before I watched Virgin River and found them both good shows without TOO much drama.
Courtney says
What size are you wearing in the camo Dress? Thank you
Mix and Match Mama says
xsmall!
Abby says
Watch Jane the Virgin! It’s light, sweet, happy, and addicting.
Erika Slaughter says
I think I need that jewelry organizer in my life!!
Norine says
Have you seen “The Chosen”? Season 1 is eight episodes and they are crowdfunding right now for Season 2. You download the app “The Chosen” and watch it from there. It is fantastic and my older grandchildren (16, 14, and 12) loved it too! My favorite episode was Jesus interacting with the children, It is different from any other “Bible” movie I have ever seen!
Mix and Match Mama says
No! I’ve never heard of that one! Thank you!!
Norine says
You are welcome!! ?
Katie says
Ditto for “The Chosen!” I’ve never seen a show like it— you will LOVE IT! Great to watch with the family. Also, “Heartland” on Netflix… it’s got a hallmark-y feel to it!
Katie
Diane VandenPlas says
My girls and I just binge-watched Sweet Magnolias – mash up of Gilmore Girls and This Is Us. Highly recommend! 10 episodes, and was just renewed for second year on Netflix. SO GOOD!
Mary says
I just watched Sweet Magnolias, and it was pretty good. It’s on Netflix.
Kelli says
Try Escape to the Country – there’s one season on Amazon Prime (at this time). It’s like House Hunters – but in England. Sweet and light! 🙂
Mix and Match Mama says
Ohhhhhhhhhh!! That sounds like me!!!
Elizabeth says
Where did you get your “First Day of” sign? I’m having a hard time finding one that is simple like yours!
Mix and Match Mama says
Etsy but it was seven years ago!
Cindi says
Shay, have you watched Jane the Virgin yet?!? It’s SO funny, with twists and turns and the most hilarious narrator!! HIGHLY recommend!
Mix and Match Mama says
YES!! I thought that was so cute!!!!
Adrienne says
My husband and I started Parks and Rec and are enjoying it! Something funny to end the night 🙂 If you liked The Office, it’s the same kind of humor!
Mix and Match Mama says
Okay, I always hear that one recommended but haven’t tried it. That’s probably the one I need to watch next!!
Paige M Wright says
I thought of you the other day when I did one of Denis Morton’s reset cycle and then reset yoga on Peleton. You can choose different lengths but I typically go with 30 minute cycle then immediately do 30 minute yoga. He is a yogi and love his calm voice. So if you need a little change up you may like this?
Talia says
Sweet Magnolias (only one season, but more to come!) is a very good show on Netflix. I think you would enjoy it. I sure did and liked the others you mentioned as well.
Elspeth says
I love what’s up Wednesday!!! Such a fun roundup of things to look for and a peak into your world today. Thank you for sharing! Also, I’m heading to my first Trader Joe’s, what’s a must for me?!
http://www.elspethsdaybyday.com
Kate says
Have you watched Sweet Magnolias? Definitely has a Gilmore Girls and Hart of Dixie vibe!
Mix and Match Mama says
I have!! I thought it was cute!! Virgin River was my favorite!
Rachel Shafer says
Sweet Magnolias would the perfect show to watch now! It’s right along the same lines as Hart of Dixie and Virgin River.
Jordan says
Hi Shay! Have you watched Sweet Magnolias on Netflix? I LOVED it! It’s only one season but s2 is on the way! The sweetest show about 3 momma best friends living in a small town. If you need a quick binge, it’s a great one!
Mary C says
Do you have a recommendation for gluten free cornbread? I need to make your cornbread peach salad. Sounds amazing!
Mix and Match Mama says
I like to buy Krusteaz!!
Morgan says
You need to watch Outcry on Showtime about Greg Kelley, a boy in Leander Texas who was falsely accused (and spent 3 years in prison!!
Eva says
You need to watch Younger on Hulu!
Deb says
Ditto to Younger. It’s about a divorced 40 year old woman pretending to be a 26 year old. One of the main characters is Hilary Duff, who will forever be Lizzy Mcguire in my eyes!! Has all the things, love, comedy, friendship, navigating life.
Mandy says
I was going to say Younger, too! I have YouTube TV and all 6 seasons are available on demand. Just finished watching it for the second time.
Elizabeth Jeanes says
Sweet magnolias was very good and light! I’m going back and starting the book series now!
Taylor says
Sweet Magnolias in Netflix!!! It is soooo good…reminds me a little of Gilmore Girls.
Amy D. says
I recommend Sweet Magnolias on Netflix. Awesome show with a great cast! 🙂
Mindy Tierney says
Love the paint color. Feels so good when the decision is made (and still love it when it goes up!). Curious: is it darker or lighter than the Kilim Beige you originally had. Both look really nice! Happy Wednesday!
Kelly Connolly says
Have you watched Sweet Magnolias on Netflix yet? It’s so good! Very similar to the shows you mentioned
Selena S says
I can’t do read hard things or watch hard things either right now, so my husband and I are enjoying an episode or two of Life in Pieces on Prime. It tells the story of an extended family, but in little bits, 4 short stories per episode. We always laugh out loud! It stars Colin Hanks, and he is so much like his dad that it’s uncanny and so pleasing. Looking forward to adding to my to-read list tomorrow!
Lori says
I did love Virgin River, Sweet Mag and Hart of Dixie. Not the same, but have you watching Selling Sunset? There are 2 seasons and new one is coming in August!
Cari says
I started watching New Girl on Netflix and its hilarious!!
Jenna says
We are finishing up Atypical on Netflix right now and it’s SO good! Based around a high school boy with autism and his family dynamic. Really cute and funny!
Molly Marie says
Schitts Creek, Handmaids Tale, Homeland
Casey says
I have recently watched & LOVED The Babysitters Club (so nostalgic) & Never Have I Ever, both on Netflix.
Kelly says
I just finished Gilmore Girls and am a little sad because I don’t think anything can come close to matching it.
Alyssa says
Sweet Magnolias and Jane the Virgin are both on Netflix and great picks! Very much in the Gilmore Girls-type universe!
Kristy Moore says
My show recommendations-Schitt’s Creek (#proud Canadian) and The Babysitter’s Club. Don’t know if you read the books as a kid, but I’m loving the show! So cute and right now (I’m only one episode 4), okay for the kiddos to watch too!
How is A doing regarding heading to Grade 2? As a teacher, it’s my favorite Grade to teach! So much fun!!
Are you kiddos going back to school full time? We still have 5 weeks until the kids are back here in Calgary, but the plan is to go back full time! yikes!
Julie says
Grace & Frankie (on Netflix) is a JOY. Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin are amazing and it’s such a feel good and hilarious show about female friendship. I can’t believe it took me so long to try this one! I also second all the votes above for Schitt’s Creek and Sweet Magnolias 🙂
Mix and Match Mama says
I love that show so much!!!!
Rachel says
I’m stuck, too! Just finished GG…again! Already watched Sweet Magnolias, Virgin River, and Hart of Dixie…again. Trying New Girl, but not really feeling it. Was watching Cheers sometimes and it disappeared! Good thing I go back to work next week.
Danna F says
I too am ready for fall. I think I am being hopeful that things will be better; cooler weather; college classes for both my kids; decorating for Halloween; remodeling projects in our house! I don’t know but I am holding onto hope and the possibilities.
For something lighter, I would highly recommend Call the Midwife. I loved it so much I started rewatching it until I decided to watch Hart of Dixie…thanks to your suggestion.
The new color looks good. Yes, to Pinterest and having visual ideas right now! Have a great Wednesday Shulls.
Rhonda says
My husband and I really enjoyed Upload. The premise is insane. Instead of an afterlife, you pay to “upload” your brain into a simulation. Depending on your income, your upload can be fancy or just a couple of gigabites. Obviously it’s not a Christian premise and the show touches on that too. But it has a lot of funny bits, definitely rated R. But like a lot of these series that were obviously filmed pre-Covid, it ends with a pretty serious cliff hanger. I’m looking at you Sweet Magnolias!! So now I have no idea when I’m going to find out what happens to these characters! A quick six show binge that doesn’t end with a cliffhanger that I just loved is The Moodys. It’s from 2019 at set at Christmas, but I can watch Christmas all year. It’s Denis Leary and Elizabeth Perkins and their adult children home for Christmas. All the adult children have various problems and are each hilarious as are the parents. It was very cute.
Jen says
A Place to Call Home (on Prime).
Loving it so far!!
Kim S. says
We started watching Alone and I had to turn it off because of all the swearing. I don’t want my 8 year old to hear that. How do you handle swearing in tv shows with your kids?
Mix and Match Mama says
We discuss topics we hear/see on TV/radio that don’t fit within our family’s values. My parents always did a great job of discussing and not just eliminating when we were growing up.
Cher says
Have you watched “When Calls the Heart” on the Hallmark Channel? We love this heartwarming show! It has been renewed for season 8. It is similar to “Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman” which we also loved.
Lindsay says
Have you seen Yellowstone? We’ve been obsessed! The first two seasons are on Peacock and we’ve been watching the third season live on Sunday nights on Paramount. Not kid-friendly but so so good!
Kerri says
Schitt’s Creek! Just plain hilarious and episodes are short. Call the Midwife….it’s not as light as some shows…but you will fall in love with the characters and their time period in East London! And every season ends with a holiday episode 😉
Melanie M. says
I love that your Pinterest boards already had things you need. It reminds me of the verse Matthew 6:8b that says “for your Father knows what you need before you ask him”. I am 60 years old and have been a Christian since I was 8 years old. I still am amazed at how God is so big that He controls the whole universe, yet, He still cares about all the details of our lives and He delights in blessing us.
Brooke says
A bunch of people already suggested it but Sweet Magnolias on Netflix is great. It just came out in May so the second season is not going to be streaming for a good while. It’s a book series too!! I just started reading the series.
Also, Schitt’s Creek is hysterical!!! A must watch in my opinion!!
Abby says
I recently started watching Indian Matchmaking and I love it. Its interesting, funny, and light-hearted.
Marissa Eggehorn says
Sweet Magnolia and The Good Witch
Amy says
I second The Good Witch.
Jill Foster says
You got me hooked on Alone! Quickly binged Season 6 and then Season 1. Just started Season 2 last night. It’s my new obsession. Thank you?!?!?
WENDY OKUMURA says
Have you seen When calls the Heart? It’s basically a Hallmark movie meets little house on the Prairie. Love it!! My 12 and 16 year old boys watch it with me now.
Jessamyn says
Okay, I’ve seen several people say Chuck, and I would definitely second that. It’s a great show that’s got a little bit of everything and it’s just cute. It’s a good couples watch. My main rec though is Jane the Virgin! If you liked Hart of Dixie I’d say it’s most like that, but a little more wholesome maybe? It’s supposed to be like a telenovela so the plot is crazy and the narrator always makes me laugh!! I can almost guarantee you’d enjoy it!
Meg says
“Somebody Feed Phil” on Netflix! Food + travel…it’s SO good! I’d start with the Venice episode. 🙂
Jewell Jessup says
I have been patiently waiting to see what color you selected! I commented on your IG request for paint colors that we did all of our interior with Moderate White and it is a perfect, warm white that we LOVE. It is bright, but not at all cold, truly the perfect wall color. I am so excited you agree!!!
Mix and Match Mama says
I am SO PLEASED with it!!! xo
Mandy says
We just started watching Indian Matchmaker on Netflix and love it! Episodes are around 30 min and it is so interesting.
Heidi says
If you really liked Sweet Magnolias and Virgin River, you may enjoy Cedar Cove! It’s based on the Debbie Macomber books and stars Andie MacDHeidiowell. I’m surprised just how much I’m enjoying it!
Heidi says
Ooops. That should say Andie MacDowell!
Jaimie says
I also recommend Babysitter’s Club on Netflix. It’s great for those that grew up with the original book series and also for the preteens that are now being introduced to the books. It’s updated to the current times, but with some cute throwbacks that us moms can appreciate. It was a great show for my daughter and I to bond over together.
Vivi Mackenzie says
I just finished Grace and Frankie, and I am so sad. I feel like I’ve lost my friends! I felt the same way after I finished Schitt’s Creek! My husband says this means I’m in a “showhole.” :0 I don’t like suspenseful stuff or stuff that’s too mushy. I like humor and sarcasm, so that’s why I loved those shows so much! I need a new one so I can crawl out of my showhole! 🙂
Claire says
Absolutely go for Schitt’s Creek! Took a few episodes to get into it but am LOVING it! Light hearted and great family dynamics!
Rachel says
Have you watched The Good Witch? Its a Hallmark show that I think you could watch with your kids and it would totally get you into the mood for fall. Hope you have a great day!
Francesca says
My husband and I started Alone based on your recommendation. Wow. So interesting. There’s a reason no one lives in the Arctic! LOL Also I laughed out loud when you said you have been subconsciously preparing for this moment for years. Sounds like the Pinterest hobby which could be viewed as a time suck just came through for you!!
Mix and Match Mama says
Right?! Andrew was like “where did you get all of these ideas?????”…um, I’ve been preparing for ten years!!! Haha!
Tammy M. says
I found these older shows and enjoyed them both so much!
1- Everwood- 4 Seasons- Previously on Hulu but now I believe on Amazon prime- Soo good and refreshing. Reminds me of Hallmark movies and Virgin River for the romance, small town vibe and beautiful scenery.
2- Mistresses- 4 Seasons on Hulu. Fun to watch- Reminds me of Desperate Housewives and Sweet Magnolias for the tight friendship but It is spicy with adult situations.
Leanne says
Escape to the Chateau! I cannot say enough about this show!!
Lucy Bertoldi says
Just started Sweet Magnolias- so far it’s good! I love that little camo dress on you! And- I remember when my last started Kindergarten…I was so sad; bitter sweet:) Have a great rest of the week xx
Caity says
You should check out either of the two shows Mindy Kaling produced: Never Have I Ever on Netflix and Four Weddings and a Funeral on Hulu. They were both so well done that I physically felt proud of Mindy after watching them. ?
StephTheBookworm says
My oldest is also starting kindergarten… what a way to start school, right?! I am feeling so torn up about it and what to do. Our district is offering 2 options: you can keep your kid home all the time for 100% remote learning, or you can send them in 2 days, with 3 days remote learning.
Stephanie A Harris says
I just started The Good Witch. (I resisted for a long time because of that one word I Thought it would be creepy). But actually it’s a very sweet family story. The only supernatural part is she has intuitions. Harmless. You’ve probably watched it since it’s on Hallmark Channel.
Erin S. says
If you loved Gossip Girl you will LOVE The Bold Type – sooooo good!!! It’s on Hulu. I am flying through the eposides!
Leticia says
I’m a mom of 3 (17,19,34) and I really enjoyed the Netflix series ‘Alexa and Kate’. Geared toward tweens, I really enjoyed it, laughed and cried. It’s 4 seasons, but the episodes are short.
Marianne says
If you’re ready for fall then it’s not too early to ask if you saw that Hallmark announced that they will be releasing 40 all-new movies on Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries from October through December. Gotta love that!!!
Mix and Match Mama says
Oh my goodness! No, I didn’t see that!!
Jennifer says
Have you watched Sweet Magnolia’s in Netflix yet? Also I love Heartland and When Calls the Heart.
Rachel says
The Bold Type! It’s such a good show to escape. 3 best friends living in NYC working at a fashion magazine. It’s cute, it’s edgy, the clothes are great, cute guys. It’s my favorite right now. I stream it on Hulu.
tricia kw says
Shay – What is the white bracelet you are wearing in your IG stories today?! Is it Hermes?!
Mix and Match Mama says
It is!
tricia kw says
Oh I love it! Thank you! And PS – made your chicken enchiladas verdes last night – Deeelish and a BIG hit!
Kacy M says
Praying for Ashby’s surgery!
Mix and Match Mama says
Thank you so much!!!!
Lindy says
Try Sweet Magnolias on Netflix! It was so cute and sweet and It was just renewed for Season 2!
Christa Fisher says
Check out Sweet Magnolias and also I can’t say enough how good Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist is to watch.
Janet K Inman says
Schitt’s Creek is one of the best around. It is hysterical. Sweet Magnolias is also a great short series. It is based on the book written by Sherryl Woods. I have enjoyed it a lot too!
Sara says
You should absolutely watch New Girl! So fun and light! I couldn’t get into Schitts Creek at all, but love Parks and Rec!
Kim C says
I love New Girl on Netflix. I usually watch it while I’m on the treadmill in the morning so I’ve been through the series a couple times but still enjoy it. Another one I saw recommended was Life in Pieces — I highly second that one as well. Parents, their 3 grown children, and their families all live on the same street. Each episode is split to cover all 4 of the individual families and sometime the group as a whole.
Sheaffer Sims says
I want those corn and chicken tacos. I also want that little Madeley back for a day. SO STINKING CUTE!!!
Jill says
Sweet Magnolias is a more wholesome Hart of Dixie!
JoAnn says
Totally random…I just bought the adidas shoes, what socks do you wear with them when you run?
Mix and Match Mama says
How crazy would you think I was if I said barefoot?!?!
JoAnn says
Hahahaha! I ALMOST guessed that based on Andrew’s opinion of socks ?????
