Happy What’s Up Wednesday, friends!
I have one last post for you this week, and then I won’t be back here in blog world again until Monday. I hope you’re all having a blessed week! We are living our best lives right now, and I fully anticipate about 45 posts in your future with pics (apologies in advance!), so brace yourselves 😉 .
As always, on the last Wednesday of every month, Sheaffer and I host this little linky party where we share what’s going on with us right now. It’s a little food, a little family, a little what we’re wearing, a little what we’re doing, a little what we’re watching and a little bit of everything else all in one post.
I hope you’re all having a great week!
Here we go…
1: WHAT WE’RE EATING THIS WEEK:
We are eating all the food. Literally, there is none left. We’ve eaten it all. I had heard from some sources that Europe (Italy in particular) was great with gluten-free food, but let me tell you, they’ve been FABULOUS. I have zero complaints. It’s been such a great gluten-free food experience!
2. WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT:
Awwwww! The first cruise we took as a family of six 🙂 .
I love that since this photo (of us all crammed in one elevator), we’ve grown by four new people! I’ve been looking back at pics and thinking about that trip a lot lately. It was such a blessing to go with my grandparents too.
3: WHAT I’M LOVING:
Time away with my peeps right now. I hate to bring this up (absolutely hate it!), but school starts for us two weeks from today! (Noooooooo!) It’s been a wonderful summer, but geez, it always goes by so fast.
4: WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO:
Fun. Food. More food. Even more fun.
5: WHAT I’M DREADING:
Pleas see the second part of #3 above.
6: WHAT I’M WORKING ON:
I’ve been thinking over my school year routine lately and trying to see where I could add in a bit more white space to my day. My days were super full there at the end of the school year, and I just think adding a bit non-overly scheduled space into my days might help me breathe a bit more. I also need to figure out how to work on our podcast more efficiently. I love our podcast, but I haven’t found a great working rhythm for that either. Any way…me over here thinking about my schedule…and pumpkins. We all know I’m already thinking about pumpkins.
7: WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT:
Pumpkins.
8: WHAT I’M WATCHING/READING:
I took a break from Selling Sunset but now, I’m back in! After season one, I kind of forgot about it, but on the ship when I’m running on the treadmill, I’ve been watching, and I’m sucked in! I’m on season three now. As for books? My book review will be next week. I’ve read so many great ones this month!!
9: WHAT I’M LISTENING TO:
My kids being too noisy on this ship.
10: WHAT I’M WEARING:
My swimsuit and coverup! We’re headed to the beach today, so I’m sitting here typing dressed for the occasion.
11: WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND:
I don’t even know what day it is right now. I can’t think about the weekend yet. 😉
12: WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH:
I know that it’s going to be a great school year and fall is just a beat away, but I’m still so bummed about school starting. I’m clearly taking it hard this year.
That’s it, friends! I’m out of here until Monday! Have the best day!! If you blogged with us, please link up below!

I burned a fall candle yesterday and it was amazing. It was Harvest Gathering from BBW, similar to Leaves. It got me so excited for fall and settling back into a routine. Enjoy the rest of your trip-it looks like memories of a lifetime!

Can’t wait to read about your trip!!
Wow, school in 2 weeks?! My advice… unasked for I know — try to just live in the present moment. You know, without fretting and planning and organizing. Just “be easy”. That was advice a dear friend gave me years and years ago and I took it to heart, it changed my perspective and my relationships. Have so much fun Today. Sending you a smile from Colorado. 😊

I’m taking it hard too! My oldest will be a Junior and I am just NOT READY. End of the school year and beginning of the school year always makes me so melancholy…
Mix and Match Mama says
That’s a lot, mama!!!

Get ready to be bombarded with emails regarding Italy suggestions-now that you’re the expert I figured you’re just the person to ask! LOL

I totally agree about scheduling in some white space this year!! Last year I felt like I was running from one thing to the next all day everyday. This school year, I’m keeping one morning free for white space and to hopefully keep me calmer in the midst of the full family life!

I have a question about cruising with a bigger family. We love cruises but I always feel like now that we have four young kids (going on 5!) we’ll never get any sleep and it will be too crammed even with larger rooms. What have you found that works? What about a packnplay situation?
Mix and Match Mama says
We’ve been cruising with our kids since they were 1 and 2. I would say it really works well! When they were babies, they used pack n plays, we would dim the lights significantly and play their sound machine. Typically kiddos are so tuckered out after a full day of “vacationing” that they sleep well. Thinking back, I don’t remember it being a problem. With a big family, you would most likely need two connecting cabins, so they could have their space while you had yours too.

Thank you!! It’s encouraging to read about your experience!
