Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale GIVEAWAY!


Hey, hey, hey!  It’s one of my favorite days of the year!!  It’s my annual ANNIVERSARY SALE ROUND UP AND GIVEAWAY!!!

For those of you who are new, let me explain!  Every year, Nordstrom has their HUGE anniversary sale where they mark down NEW FALL STUFF!  Friends, I do an Anniversary Sale post and giveaway EVERY year because this stuff is AMAZING!  (And when you’re asking me in November where I got my booties, I’m going to say “the Anniversary Sale” and then you’re going to be sad you have to pay full price.)

So, I typically don’t post “what I bought” until the sale goes live to everyone (and not just card holders), buuuuuut things sell out so quickly, that I decided to do it today when it launched to “Icon” card holders so that when it does go live for your specific level (see below), you will already know what I love.  For those of you who aren’t card holders, you get to shop August 19th thru the 30th (prices go back up on the 31st).

I also typically wait until my stuff arrives and show you what I bought by wearing it (because I only like to show you what I end up keeping and really, really love), BUT last year, I did it this way and you guys told me you MUCH PREFERRED me doing it in advance, so I’m doing it again. Later, when my stuff arrives, I’ll post pics of me in it.  Make sense?  ALSO, today, I’m doing my annual ANNIVERSARY SALE GIVEAWAY!

Whew!  So much in one post!!

So, the sale items have been live on Nordstrom’s site for several days (you just couldn’t buy until 8:30 CST this morning), so I went through and figured out what I loved and/or what I wanted to share with you guys.  Here’s the best news…2020 has very few redeeming qualities but this year’s Anniversary Sale might be one of their very best!  #smallblessings

I grouped together many of my favorite things from the sale below and then at the bottom of the post, I have our giveaway.

Eeeeeeeks!  I love looking at sweaters, jeans and booties 😉 .

First up, my favorite sweaters from the sale this year…

Okay, there are so many great sweaters in the sale and every year, I always buy, wear and love many of them.  These four right here ALL COME IN MULTIPLE COLORS AND PATTERNS and were my top four!

STRIPED TURTLENECK SWEATER: I mean…YAY!!!  Right?!  Even though this one comes in solids and other colors of stripes, I’m obsessed with this combo here!!
OVERSIZE MOCK NECK SWEATER: How cute is this tie dye?!  It just makes me HAPPY!!
DOLMAN SLEEVE THERMAL TOP: I love anything thermal.  Anything!  This top comes in solids, but the navy and white stripe is really speaking to me!
PINK SWEATER: Okay, I love this in pink, but I actually think I’m going to get it in black!  It comes in other solid colors too and just seems like a staple piece.

One more sweater I loved…

…I’m totally digging the color of this chunky knit sweater.  With booties and skinny jeans?  Super cute, right?!  It comes in other colors too!

Next up, some of the tops I love in the sale this year…

SLEEVELESS LEOPARD TOP: I love any top that looks “fall” but transitions in September when it’s technically still hot outside.
VELVET BODYSUIT: I’ve never worn a bodysuit before, but when I saw this one, I thought it would be so cute tucked into my black leather jeans or sequin pants during the holiday season!
COZY TWIST PULLOVER: Yes.  Yes.  Yes.  I buy one of their cozy pullovers every year and wear it on REPEAT.
LEOPARD SWEATER: This little crew neck sweater comes in many solids, but I loved how “fall” the leopard looked!

In all my years of shopping the sale, I’ve never seen so many great Patagonia pieces…

I feel like no explanation is needed.  You know that I wear a Patagonia just about every.single.day between Christmas and spring break.  I LOVE THEM!!  With this brand, based on reader feedback, I always encourage you to size up.  From the zipper sweater to the vest, the traditional pullover to the extra cozy one, I promise you, these are amazing!!  Of course, all of these come in multiple colors too!

Okay, if you were to ask me what I’m most excited about this year in the sale, right now, I think I would say DENIM!!!!!!

Well, HELLO!!!  I am obsessed with all four of these!!  I love that they’re all a little cropped (so cute with sneakers, sandals, booties and heels!) and all different washes.  I love the light wash, the coated leather (so cute for fall, winter and holidays!!), the “normal” wash and then one that’s a little darker.  Anyone else just loooooooove denim season?!  I also thought these were suuuuuper cute too…

…they’re faux suede leggings.  Yes.

Girls, you know that I fell in love with these this past winter and wore them just about every day.

Truly, they don’t sag, they don’t get baggy, the waistband is high, they don’t cut you off, they wash and dry so well…they’re amazing!!!  I would recommend SIZING UP and if you’re not super tall (I’m 5’3″) trying them in PETITE.  You will love these leggings!!

…the Anniversary Sale this year checks all the boxes for cute leggings and joggers!  The real question is, which one do we love the most?!  I’m not sure but these joggers and these leggings are going in my cart!

So, another thing I was BLOWN AWAY with was all of the OUTERWEAR this year!!!  Friends, I couldn’t believe all of the discounted Patagonia, The North Face and other realllly fantastic coats they had this year…

I couldn’t pick just one to share…so here are EIGHT that I loved (with so many more still online!!).  Every one of these coats comes in multiple colors too!

#1: The perfect weight!  Not too heavy, not too light, not bulky, easy to pack!  Right now, this Patagonia $50 off!!
#2: This power down insulated Patagonia jacket will keep you warm on those colder days.
#3:This hooded water resistant Patagonia has been a staple for years!  I don’t understand how it’s so light and yet so warm?!
#4: Even though this The North Face jacket came in other great colors, this color here spoke to me!!!
#5: I love how this The North Face jacket is quilted!!
#6: This packable hooded rain coat would work all year long and is now under $100!
#7: I love the midi length of this The North Face jacket!
#8: If you really need a warm coat, this is the ultimate The North Face coat for winter.

How fun is this faux fur coat?!  I had a similar one this past winter and had so much fun wearing it instead of my “norm”.  Every year, Nordstrom has the best faux suede jackets that will top any fall outfit on those chillier days along with some great faux leather ones too!  And then this gray coat here, went into my cart!  Isn’t it gorgeous?!

This fall, I’m going to be having a moment with sneakers…

…um, hello?!  From running to the grocery store to sitting on the sidelines at Smith’s football games, my sneaker game is going to be strong 😉 .  All four of these sneakers come in multiple colors but the ones shown here are my very favorite!!!

Won’t they all look cute with my cropped jeans and a sweater?!   They’ll also look super cute with my new backpack too!

Speaking of shoes…

…Uggs and booties, please!!

Now, listen, EVERY YEAR, I buy booties and/or Uggs in the Sale and when the fall and winter roll around, readers ask me where I got them and my answer is ALWAYS the Anniversary Sale!  Always!!  This year, I’m going to try these new Ugg slides for around my house (wouldn’t they be fun to gift at Christmas?!).  They come in several colors but this pink is just HAPPINESS!!  I also thought the Ugg boots (in black too!) were a great shaft height as they’re not too bulky but tall enough to keep your feet warm.  And then the peep-toed booties?  They’re the perfect transition shoe into fall!  I will wear these September until my toes can’t take the cold any more 😉 .  I love a peep-toe bootie!  It’s like a fall bootie…with a little A/C for your feet 😉 .  There are two styles I loved this year, first the Vince Camuto and then also the 42 Gold (both styles in multiple colors).

And since we’re talking boots…

…remember how much we loved these Sorels last year?!  We loved them so much we even gave them away to readers!  Well, right now, they’re in the sale too!!!!  My favorite part is how they’re waterproof for really yucky weather.

Okay, no one panic…

…but I’ve never seen the blardigan at a better price!!!  I really can’t think of another thing I’ve gifted more than this blardigan.  I give it to everyone!!  Birthday presents, Christmas, just had a baby, just had surgery, having a bad day gift, I’m sorry about your loss gift, just because gift…IT IS THE BEST GIFT!!!  Right now, the Circle Blardigan is at an unbelievable price!!!  I have this blardigan in two colors and now…

…I’m going to try this new longer blardigan in the pretty green color too!!  I also thought this pajama set was cute with the shorts and the longer pants one was too!  All three of these would make fabulous holiday gifts!

Something else that made me jump for joy in the sale this year was…

…MY FAVORITE BRA AND UNDIES ARE ON SALE!!!!

How many years have I been talking about this strapless bra and these undies?!

YEARS!

I never, ever wear anything else.

I literally have on both as I’m typing this right now.

I cannot believe they’re both in the sale this year!!

When it came to accessories this year, there were many, but these two stood out the most to me…

…this belt just screams fall and so does this tote!!

For me, the earring game was all about the studs…

…I loved the faux diamond studs, Tory Burch studs and pave studs the best!

As far as necklaces to layer go…

…both of these were added to my cart!  The cute star necklace and the initial one too!

And last but not least…

…this little tee right here (in so many colors!!!).

Whew!
