Happy Wednesday!
It’s the April edition of LET’S LOOK!
If you don’t know what this is, once a month, Erika and I do a little link up where we “look” at different aspects of our lives (and then if you blog, you share and link up too!). It’s often a random little assortment of topics.
In January, we looked at our coffee bar areas.
In February, we looked at our love languages.
In March, we looked at a perfect night in.
And today, we’re looking at our FRIDGE & PANTRY!
Ugh.
Whose dumb idea what it to look inside my fridge and pantry?
Oh that’s right…it was mine.
Bahahaha! What was I thinking???
Okay, after 14 years of being “an influencer”, I know the drill…fill your refrigerator with colorful and bright fruits and veggies, lots of pretty glass bottles and remove all of the other “crap” (for lack of a better word). I contemplated this for about ten seconds until I realized that I’ll never be that kind of influencer (see all of my other subpar pics as proof) and just opened up the dang fridge and took pictures. Andrew happened to be in there at the time, and he was a bit like “you’re going to just take pics of it like that?”. Yes. Yes, I am.
Please note: I am sitting here at my desk upstairs, and I just uploaded all of my pics and realized that while I took pictures of my fridge, I totally forgot about my freezer. Sigh. Again. I could walk down there and do that for you, but instead, I’ll just describe it: it’s a very cold place filled with a lot of frozen Trader Joe’s things. There. That saved me the trip downstairs. 😉 .
Hi, my name is Shay and I like condiments. I love to add a sauce (especially spicy) to just about everything I eat. I also think, the more pickles the merrier.
In a nutshell, we have some bagged salads (great for lunches or the base of a side salad), lemons, apples, oranges, a lot of cheeses and meats for our charcuterie boards, Vanilla milk (all Madeley), more cheese, some cotton candy grapes, more cheese, sausages, tomatoes, more cheese, a variety of beverages, ground beef, eggs and more cheese.
A closer look. I mean…so glamourous 😉 .
I always wish my fridge looked like one of those gorgeous ones with the glass fronts, but let’s be honest, where would I store my three different bottles of Buffalo sauce?
Next up, my pantry.
A few things to note.
First, do you remember that old Julia Roberts movie called Sleeping with the Enemy? Her terrible, abusive, murderous husband makes her keep the pantry cans all lined up, and if she has one out of order, he flips his lid? Yeah, he’s a terrible person in the movie, but I so relate to his need to have cans lined up and boxes tidy.
The fact that that one gluten-free cake mix box is upside down in this picture is enough to make me want to go back down there right now and flip it around. Ha! Guys, it’s a nice big space, but I just cannot become one of those amazing “bins and baskets” people I so love and respect.
I’m kind of at a loss…this whole post makes me want to take the rest of the week off and organize my pantry. I mean…it’s organized chaos in there. If you are looking at my pics now and have all of these great ideas, products and suggestions for how I can tidy things up, by all means, please comment and share! In the meantime, I’m just going to turn the light off, shut the door and walk away. It just seems less complicated.
Tell me about YOUR FRIDGE AND PANTRY? Is it amazing? So organized? We clearly buy several things in bulk (a.k.a. condiments, I am clearly so darn afraid the world will have a mustard/pickles/spicy sauce shortage). Andrew and I had a real sit down after this about his almond butter hoarding too. Seven jars, Andrew? Seven? Have you ever known the store not to have almond butter? No. Why do we have seven jars???
I’ve got to go now. I am going to read your comments and get inspired to tackle my fridge and pantry! Next month, we’re looking at OUTDOOR ORGANIZATION, friends, Andrew is in charge of that, so it’s all nice and tidy! 😉
I can’t wait to read your comments!!! Have the best day! xx
Elspeth says
As someone who loves organization this is such a fun post and honestly you have very tidy spaces! Thanks for sharing!

You really do like condiments!
My son-in-law went into my fridge and asked me why I have so much yogurt–I said so I won’t eat ice cream–he said that makes sense.
I’m thankful that I have food when I think of all the children on the border–pray for them.
Sherry says
Whose dumb idea what it to look inside my fridge and panty?….
PANTY!
Hahaha, this made me LOL!
Mix and Match Mama says
I caught that one after the fact…I mean…it’s so perfect for this post though, right?! Hahaha!

Your fridge is so well organised! ?✨

7 jars does seem excessive. Ha! 🙂 The thought of me showing my fridge and pantry today makes me twitch.
Nicole says
Please don’t organize yours more because then I’ll have to do mine!! Hahaha! Loved seeing this!!
Erika Slaughter says
Girl!!! I think my pantry needs a good purge!! I did the same thing as I worked-wished I was someone who had a very aesthetically pleasing pantry but I don’t so I went with it. ??♀️?
Julie says
Shay you are the best. I LOVE that you were just not feeling this post, it cracked me up. That being said, I’m glad you did this one! I do not know why, but I find other people’s pantries and fridges so interesting. When I’m in line at the grocery store and someone is buying a lot of the same items I usually do, I wonder, do we have OTHER things in common? Would we be great friends because she clearly understands that Chobani vanilla oat milk is the way to go!? I swear, I would love the job of checking out people’s groceries! Anyway, I’m a type A organized person and here’s what I think. Leave your stuff exactly the way it is! You have a beautiful family and home and you truly enjoy your life which is inspiring. You have your priorities straight! So leave it a mess. Organized chaos can work! Or have the kids organize it? LOL? Rainy day project? I bet they’d do a great job. Thanks for the post. It made me smile! Embrace your multiple condiment bottles!
Mary Beth says
This is why we all love you…. you are just REAL☺️ This post gave me a good laugh this morning! Thanks for being YOU!
Paige says
Hahaha the jars of almond butter. SAME as my husband but peanut butter. He once texted me that he has “an emergency situation” regarding his pb supply. I went out of my way to buy 4 large jars only to find that he had a completely full one already. That was his “emergency” situation haha!
Brooke says
I tried all of the pretty bins and canisters and it lasted maybe 3-6 months. They’re just something else to have to clean regularly, and who wants that?!
Mix and Match Mama says
not me!
Lisa Fagin says
I’m so darn glad you shared a “real’ picture 🙂 Every time see those influence pictures I think, seriously, who’s fridge and pantry actually looks like that?
Love your blog and praying for Ashby.
Mix and Match Mama says
thank you, thank you, thank you!
Kelly S says
Look, I’m a HUGE TYPE A of organization, my pantry is somewhat organized, but not pretty and all matchy. At the end of my life, I’m pretty sure I won’t think, “man, I wish I would have used my precious time to organize more and make my pantry match” I loved knowing yours wasn’t perfect either.
We’re out living life- enjoy. Love your condiments. We are condiment lovers too. They take up SO MUCH SPACE.
Jennifer says
I just started following the IG account gocleanco. Oh my goodness my world has been turned upside down by this account. We are in the middle of the spring cleaning challenge. I’m going much slower than her room a week challenge as I am teaching full time from home. However I feel great. You start in one corner and work your way top to bottom clockwise as you go. Every drawer. Every nook and cranny. It feels great seeing the progress. Check out the account even if you don’t do the challenge. She breaks down cleaning in a whole new way.
Mix and Match Mama says
thank youuuuuuuuu!
Kim says
I’m obsessed too with @gocleanco! Changed my entire cleaning regime. Powdered Tide for the win!
Sarah says
I don’t even have a pantry. You ought to see my cabinets though. I re-organize them at least once a month! My fridge looks a lot like yours, except we have A LOT of orange juice and yogurt. Also, this is quite possibly the funniest post of yours I’ve ever read, and I read your posts pretty much on the daily. I LOL’d a lot today.
Mix and Match Mama says
My mom doesn’t have a pantry either! I think she does the same. And thank you 😉 .
Amanda says
You should follow @organizewithtracy on Instagram! She makes my OCD heart happy and inspired me to get my pantry in shape.
Tracey says
Your fridge and pantry looks like mine.. no wonder I love your posts ❤️❤️ you made me laugh about the pickles because we just bought a dozen of our favorite on-line (not available in store). ? I love reading your emails!! You are wonderful!
Mix and Match Mama says
Awwwww! You are so sweet!!!! Thank you!!!
Paige E says
Well, we recently had a mouse in our pantry and I’ve yet to feel good about restocking so basically everything that isn’t in plastic containers is sitting on my counter. One day… 🙂
Mix and Match Mama says
Oh my gosh!!! We had a rat in our last house in the pantry! I remember standing on the counter and when Andrew didn’t answer his phone, I called my dad crying. I DON’T BLAME YOU!!!!
Pamela says
And this post is why you are my favorite!!!!! This was so much fun!
Gen says
This post is exactly why I follow you. You are real. No pretense. Thank you for sharing your actual fridge and pantry, not an airbrushed version that only makes me feel bad because mine doesn’t look like that.
Mix and Match Mama says
Awwww! Well, thank you!!!
Michelle says
Hi Shay! I loved this post! I liked that you are open and honest! Thanks for sharing 😉
Tara G. says
My pantry is a mile away from the counters. I bought an IKEA cart & can now wheel my baking supplies over. I was so tickled, I ordered labels for the canisters. Thats the extent of my fancy.
Mix and Match Mama says
That is so clever!!!
Paula says
Here’s my thoughts…
Your refrigerator & pantry are signs of well lived & loved. When I look indide my refrigerator or pantry, I see God’s blessings! Thank you, Lord, for the ability to stock these shelves with deliciousness for my family!
Mine will never be organized perfectly for more than a day. But we eat well. I think your refrigerator and pantry loik absolutely perfect!
Mix and Match Mama says
I love this, Paula!!
Denise says
Slightly off topic but what kind of a fridge do you have? I despise my side by side cause there just isn’t enough room. Yours looks fantastic!
Oh, and those people who put everything in pretty baskets or glass jars in the pantry, how the heck do they remember how much time it takes to cook things – or is that only me?
Mix and Match Mama says
It’s a Sub Zero…because it doesn’t have the “front” I don’t see the details on it, so I would have to dig to find the exact model. I like it!
Sarah M. says
Seven jars of almond butter is quite the investment. We buy it too but the price tag makes me gulp!
I totally get the Sleeping with the Enemy reference!! Yikes. Fix those towels too!
What are your favourite hot sauces? We only just started getting into those.
Mix and Match Mama says
I will buy anything that says words like spicy, zesty, hot, Buffalo, spicy or jalapeno. The Trader Joe’s jalapeno sauce never lets me down!
Ashley says
Honestly both look pretty good! Fairly organized and clean! I don’t even want to think about mine – much less show it publicly! Yikes!
Susan says
I grew up with five brothers, two sisters and my parents. When my oldest brother was a senior in high school, a friend of his asked my mother if she could take a picture of the inside of our fridge for an art project. My mother was mortified but said yes. The friend painted (!) the photo for her project, got an A on it, and then gave the framed painting to my mother! It hung in our kitchen for years.
Mix and Match Mama says
ohhhhhh! That is the sweetest story!!!
MelanieL says
This made me LOL! We have a reach-in closet pantry that we just installed a sliding barn door on and when I sent photos to my family they all commented how disorganized the pantry was. 🙁
Maquelle says
Ha! I love this post. Your pantry and fridge seem clean and organized to me. I totally agree about the baskets and bins people. Who has time for that! I learned a long time ago, if I didn’t let some things go I was going to go crazy. Are the groceries put away? Yes! Are they in the perfect spot, NO! Let it go. Is my laundry done, YES! Are the towels folded like I like, NO! (when my husband does laundry :)) Let it go. If I complained or had to refold the towels or reorganize the pantry every time, I would never get it all done. Thanks for being real!! Have a great day.
Krystle says
Thank you for being real, we eat and buy what we like. It’s doesn’t stick around long and doesn’t have to look pretty as it is all meant to be consumed. As long as the kitchen trash bag leaves each day for this family of 6, you’re doing great.
Ashley-Rae Vaughan says
I love this post! Literally LOL-ing as I’m reading it. As always, thanks for being a bright spot in my morning, Shay 🙂
Victoria says
Thank you for always keeping life real!!! I giggled my way through your blog because hey…aren’t condiments their own food group?!??. They are at my house!
And I guess I’m an Almond Butter horder, too?.
Libby says
Looks like mine. 😉 The only thing I’d recommend is the tiered pantry shelves for your cans and such. I use them, and it’s so nice to not have to stack cans and have them fall on my toe when they aren’t stacked right. I also use them for my spices and baking sprinkles.
Kayla Bruce says
What’s your favorite hot sauce?? I don’t even see any Sriracha in there!
Mix and Match Mama says
Girl, I have two bottles in there! One red and one green. Right now, I think they’re both Trader Joe’s brands!
Heather P. says
Your space looks great as-is, especially for such a busy family of six! But have you watched “Get Organized with The Home Edit” on Netflix? Watching an episode is incredibly motivating to then go organize something of your own. And they have a line of products at the Container Store.
Kelly S. says
This is the cutest post, Shay! You’re doing a great job; you keep your family fed and don’t take things to seriously. Such a fun read.
Judy Pfretzschner says
I think your pantry looks wonderful! It looks organized to me. Ours is pretty organized also. My husband is German so what can I say! He makes labels for our Pyrex containers for leftovers for the freezer that also show Weight Watcher points! We are retired and have time!
You might check out the Seven 7 Steak Spice from Saltgrass Steak House. I use it on fresh vegetables cooked with a little olive oil in oven or skillet. It is wonderful! I asked what they used on their green beans and they told me they sell it so bought one. It’s spicy so think you would like it.
Enjoy your blog following you and your family! I live south of you in Arlington!
Lori Whittington says
Where do you keep your spices? Did I miss that part? 🙂 Also look into Lock n Lock storage, I recently bought some off of QVC when they were on sale and LOVE them!
Mix and Match Mama says
I have a spice cabinet! I totally forgot to show that! I should make it its own post 🙂 !
Chrissy says
hahaha Shay! I try to keep mine all in separate bins and beautiful too but…it’s not sustainable! The only thing about your pantry that surprises me every time are those large baskets on the floor that are sitting inside of each other! LOL! I suggest either getting stackable baskets or drawers so the top basket isn’t sitting on the stuff in the bottom basket. But it looks great, you do you!!!
Susy says
Love this post and love organized pantries.
A huge fan of stepped racks for cans.
Also love the Oxo containers for dry goods.
Bins for oils and vinegars assure no drips on the shelving, but mostly find things quickly.
So many great products available now.
I think I need an earthquake bar or front shield of some kind but I’ve never seen one anywhere. It would need to be a custom design I guess.
Heidi says
Weird comment here…. but did you know that the Sleeping with the Enemy book is WONDERFUL? It’s obviously really suspenseful and thrilling, but it is so beautifully written at the same time. I can’t explain it, but it is so good! 🙂
Mix and Match Mama says
I didn’t even know it was a book!
Beth says
I am like the husband in the movie SLEEPING WITH THE ENEMY, too…but only in the way where I like my labels facing out and everything in all the same direction and organized. ? I don’t flip out on anyone if they don’t make/keep it that way…I just have to fix it…immediately, lol. It drives me nuts! Ha ha! I like everything to be that way in the fridge and freezer, too!! ?
Kelly says
Same here on all of the above! I like cans and jars to be on the shelf or in the fridge door with front label out, and for boxes that go in the cabinet sideways, I want the side with the nutrition label facing in so that the “less busy” side faces out. Probably no one else in the house even realizes this is the system, but I’m constantly ensuring that it is, lol!
Sally says
Hey Shay! If you’re ok with the state of your fridge and pantry, just own it! But if you want to make it better, are you aware of @neatfreakmckinney? She is a professional organizer that I follow. I love to see her before and afters. And she’s right there in your cute little town!
renae says
Here’s what I want to know about those organized people who have bins and jars and cubbies for EVERYTHING in their pantries. Do they find packages at the grocery store that are the exact size of what fits in their jars? If not, there are partially empty packages waiting to be put into jars and where do they put those? Wherever that is, it can’t look pretty. 🙂
LINDA WILLIAMS says
Lol
Heidi says
My husband makes pancakes every Sunday morning for the family, and he turns his nose up at every brand of syrup except for Log Cabin. Every time he is near a grocery store, he buys another bottle…just in case. So if we have a pancake-eating-zombie apocalypse, they will come after our house first. We literally have 17 bottles of syrup in my pantry.
Heather M says
Last year during quarantine, I hired NeatFreakMckinney to basically tell me what to buy and how to organize my pantry! She is AMAZING! I obviously did mine virtually, but If I lived in the Dallas/McKinney I would love to hire her to help with my garage/closets, etc…Check out her Instagram page! 🙂
Nicole says
If you are a pickle lover, give Grillo’s a try! Found at either Target or Costco.
Sara says
Did you have to remodel your pantry after the flood? What a blessing if you didn’t if only because moving all of those packages while water was pouring in would have been so stressful! And goodness, I’m so glad you posted “as is” pictures because this is what my home looks like and I never feel good about it after seeing those Home Edited versions…it just feels too expensive to pay for bins upon bins when putting the condiments in the shelving works just fine!
Mix and Match Mama says
Above the pantry is Smith’s bedroom which did not get rain (as he had a roof on his room at the time).
Kelly says
Have you discovered Fickle Pickles out of Boerne, TX? They’re sweet, crunchy, and spicy! You can order from their website and they ship.
My mom and I used to stock up when we visited my grandparents in TX, and we usually would eat a whole jar on the drive back to LA. Now that I live even farther away, I have them shipped to ME!
Abby says
As a fellow lover of all things spicy and pickles, next Trader Joe’s run…you have to try their cornichons. They are great for a charcuterie board, or just eating out of the jar. They have become a staple for us.
Andrea says
Looks perfect! Why is it so interesting to look in someone’s fridge & pantry?! I loved it!! My 4 year old would have thought she died & went to heaven with that sprinkle collection. And my 11 month old would LOVE to get into your baskets…and everything else. ?♀️ I love you & your posts. Keep up the great work! ?
Brooke says
Hey, I think they both look fine! I appreciate the real pictures. If you had made it look all perfect I probably would have just looked at my own and been annoyed. 😉
kimberlee nelson says
Enjoyed this post so much! Thanks for sharing. Can you link your cup with your name on it that’s in your fridge? It’s so cute! Thanks!

Just ordered one! Thank you. Love her shop!
Michelle says
My only question is why would a God fearing woman want to watch a disgusting movie like the one mentioned in the post??
Mix and Match Mama says
Entertainment???? I love Julia Roberts movies 😉 .
Amanda says
And it was her husband. She had married a crazy person. I haven’t seen it in awhile but I don’t remember too many obscene parts to it…other than it portraying a controlling husband to the point of it being dangerous.
KC says
It’s so nice to see a “normal” fridge and pantry– try as I might, I can’t keep all those bins organized and it’s just the two of us now!!
Anne Seiler says
Shay can you please send me your link to your Shay necklace? I’ve gone through old posts but cannot seem to find it.
Thank you.
Mix and Match Mama says
Yes! Just emailed you!
Lisa D says
Your huge walk-in pantry and fridge look wonderful! Count your blessings to have so much space. ?
Dawn Scheurich says
I love seeing a “normal” fridge and pantry! Makes me feel better! Thanks for sharing and not having a perfectly organized, shiny space. If you know where everything is, I say that’s a win, right?! Have a great week!
Mary C says
I couldn’t help but notice the jar of chocolate chips. Forget snacks, I would dip my hand into that all day long. haha.
Marie says
That caught my eye too. If I am out of chocolate, I always raid the chocolate chips.
Kelly Henderson says
The issue with keeping an organized pantry and/or fridge is I am not the only one who lives here. I am sooooo thankful for my family but they are not down with my OCD. (I hope you sang that when you read it). Ha! I have learned through 21+ years of marriage and two kids (now teens), not everyone cares about organization with the same passion I have. I do thoroughly clean and organize our pantry every few months only for others to put something back where doesn’t belong. I just had to let.it.go and enjoy the few days it is nice and tidy!
Laura says
That looks like real life to me. I don’t think you have any reason to be ashamed.
Melani says
Of all the good food that you cook and purchase at TJ’s and post about I can’t believe you have Pace Salsa in your fridge! You have got to try Ryan’s parent’s Honey Salsa! You’ll be hooked!
Mix and Match Mama says
Girl, please bring me some to church! I would LOVE to try it!!!!
Ruby says
I love this post! IMO, a well stocked fridge and pantry is just the sign of a great cook who is well prepared! Who wants to run to the store when you decide to decide a new recipe and can’t find the ingredients on hand? Lol
Kay says
I loved your Sleeping with the Enemy comment – I totally get it!! Every time I organize my cupboards/canned goods I always ask my daughter – is it “Sleeping with the Enemy” organized? Lol!!! Love the honest post – thanks!
Danna F says
I LOL’d a lot at this post! Thanks for keeping it REAL! I love an organized drawer, shelf, pantry but when you really look at some of the ones on pinterest they are beautiful but unattainable. I believe that there’s a reason refrigerators have doors which should remain shut! HA!
Joy says
I love this post! We buy tons of condiments too, pickles, olives and bbq sauces are our staples. I applaud the women who have all their pantry items in bins and containers. But in real life, if I did that, 3 seconds later, my kids would wreck havoc on the containers. I feel like My kids stay in the pantry all day long.
Margarita says
Love it! What brand is your refrigerator? I like the French doors with what looks linen a bigger fridge side vs freezer. Thank you.
Mix and Match Mama says
It’s a Sub Zero and yes, the fridge is larger!
Erika says
Can I ask what model? It’s exactly what we’ve been looking for – a larger side door and multiple larger drawers.
Lindsay Miller says
I didn’t think it was possible, but I think I love you more for this post…. I’m a prepper at heart. Afraid all my faves will be in a shortage one day. So I totally get it. I’m OCD about the spacing in my pantry too. But, I too, don’t have bins and all the pretty stuff. My husband and I have a home/farm project list every year and organizing and prettying my pantry and fridge was on the list…. For January….. And for some reason I just keep finding reasons not to do it. ??♀️ Maybe it’s because I have 2 small little boys who like to mess everything up in it. I’m pretty crazy neat about everything else in my life. And sometimes when you are like that you gotta pick and choose your battles so you don’t go crazier than you already are. For now I’ll do the same… close the door and onto other things.
Joanne says
My pantry was a HUGE organization project I tackled last year and while I do have baskets EVERYTHING stays in it’s own box, can, etc. and then I just toss them in a basket so its organized chaos. LOL. I still haven’t figured out to organize the fridge though. We just buy waay to many fresh fruits and veggies to fit it all in there without stuffing things here there an everywhere.
Katie says
I’ll share a tip for pantry organization, and only one because it’s literally the only thing I have… But basically my type A personality will not allow me to put a boxed item in my pantry/cabinets with the nutrition facts side facing outward. Ugh, that hurt to admit. ?
I get super upset when my husband puts something up without following this rule. ?
BUT- it’s a win because that way, you can clearly see what you have without flipping the box around to see what you’re looking at!
sandi says
In the pantry we have a basket full of granola bars. I dump the contents in there or else the pantry would be fill of empty boxes. I also have a plastic bin for honey, syrup and anything sticky. Everything else is group together by category. I love the look of the organized pantry with all matching containers, but it’s just not going to happen here. Do these moms get every item out of the pantry for their kids? I am a little jealous of the walk in pantry. My sister has one probably twice the size of yours and it is divine!
sandi kellman says
oh how I wish for a pantry…. I have to be very creative in my kitchen… so a cabinet for flours sugars baking things. Another cabinet for canned goods then one for cereal etc. My frig looks exactly like yours.. I do have a spot for everything and it makes it very organized. An outdoor frig in the garage near the pool is a lifesaver in summer or for company. My latest addition is large jars with screw wide mouth lids on the lowest shelf that make it easy for me to grab baking items. The large mouth allows for me to get that one cup size in the jar without pouring… Its the little things :0 However I can make it happen faster and easier. I seem to remember you have an echo show.. I still need to take my laptop to the counter to read recipes from you all or others unless I’m using a cookbook. Id love to hear if you use your echo show for recipes. I did realize just last night that Alexa will read ingred. one by one from a recipe from the echo dot….life saver when my hands are all wet with a recipe!!! Thank you for sharing a normal kitchen!!! blessings to you all
Sarah says
Would love to see the organized cabinets for pots and pans that you referenced in another post.
Stacey says
Hi Shay, I think your fridge and pantry look great. Have you ever seen The Home Edit on Netflix? I got really into watching a few episodes of that and thinking it would motivate me to organize my closets and etc in my home, but then I realized I live with my family and they would not follow the rules of rainbow color coded organization for even a week, so I moved on with life. Haha. A girl can dream, but reality is different. Thanks for sharing.
Elizabeth says
I have checked the other posts and to find if you answered where the glass jars came from that have your dry goods? I love to see what I have in my pantry.

The Container Store!

What I wouldn’t give for that pantry! I swear my life would be so much calmer if I just had more space to put things! ? It would also help if Craig didn’t have slight hoarding tendencies. ???

My question is this…how do you keep the outside WHITE refrigerator so clean? My stainless steel one has gross fingerprints, among other things, all over it. What’s your trick?
Mix and Match Mama says
I’m always just running a damp paper towel over fingerprints and ick.
Sandy says
I feel cheated not getting to see your freezer! Come on girl! (hee hee) Kinda not really kidding though!
Kelly S. says
Are the Reese Puffs good? I’m totally getting some. Thanks for keeping it real!
Mix and Match Mama says
They’re gluten-free, so K loves them. I’ve only grabbed a few dry, and they seem good!
Amanda says
Ha ha! I love your fridge because it looks like mine. Organized chaos for everything is the best description because I know where everything is and it takes me no time to make my daughter’s breakfast and lunch in the morning. I’m a full-time working single mom and I have everything streamlined. It might not look pretty but it’s functional. Bins and baskets would just get in the way. 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
Katie says
What are cotton candy grapes? Sounds like something my kids would love!
Mix and Match Mama says
They’re seasonal here and AMAZING. They somehow taste like cotton candy. Nothing is added to them, it’s just this one particular kind of grape. They’re so good!
Anneka says
I lol’d at this post. I have no organization tips. I try. And fail.
Diane B says
I see color, I see options, I see rows, I see bins and glass jars and I bet in a pinch you know where to find exactly what you need! Your the perfect neighbor for borrowing ❤️?? ? especially in Texas with all your bulk hot sauce ? ?❤️
Amber Dowdy says
Most importantly…someone’s drinking Milos!
StephC says
Your fridge and pantry look like real people use them and like you can find everything you need. And your fridge shelves look clean which is more than I can say for mine right now =) I never trust those influencers fridge & pantry pictures – who can live like that if you are cooking for and caring for a family?
Leanne Gilchrist says
LOLOLOLOL! I LOVE condiments too, Shay! I met my husband when I was 15 and he was 20, and his parents would grill out, and you never wanted for a SINGLE thing to put on your hot dog or hamburger in my MIL’S fridge! I wanted that to be my goal, and after being married for 28 years, it STILL is my goal! This was such a great post! Can you tell me what brand and kind of fridge you have? I’m looking for ideas for my kitchen remodel folder! Thanks for this fun post, Shay!
Erin says
Haha you are not alone in your hoarding! My husband surprised me with the gift of some professional organizers to clean out my pantry for Christmas!! They told me they had never seen someone have so many cans of beans and pasta ! If it makes you feel better my pantry doesn’t look like that anymore because of life with kids!! ? I’ll take it!!! One day I will miss all the kids snacks laying everywhere!!

Wow!! I think that level of organization is entirely acceptable! Bins can get messy too! How I wish I had a pantry though… the apartment life is killing me. I can’t wait to buy a house (rather, have already gone through the buying process). Either way, where did you get the jars you have pasta and brown sugar and other bulk goods in? Are they glass? I’ve been looking all over for large jars like that… ones that hold a ton but the openings aren’t the same size as the main part.

I want a bigger fridge like yours but I just realized there is no ice/water dispenser. Is it hidden on the inside? That is a necessary feature in our house.
Mix and Match Mama says
It’s kind of hard to see but both are there. It’s inside on the left side of the fridge. It’s that long white thing running next to the top two shelves.

Ahhh this is the most relatable thing you have ever posted… it looks like my house! THANK YOU for keeping it real. Honestly, thank you! I wish I was one of those bins-and-baskets pantry people too, but I’m never going to be and I need to just accept that… Ha! 🙂
Lauren says
Agreed 100%!! So relatable! You’d feel right at home in my kitchen ?
Lauren says
Both your fridge and pantry are incredibly organized and clean and neat and tidy and woah. I’m not sure it gets any better!!!

I can “appreciate” an “organized” fridge/pantry, but let’s be real haha who’s got the time and energy to rebox/rejar foods and maintain all that…as long as it’s clean/arranged for your own needs, that’s all that matters!
Lauren says
Cracking up at your fridge b/c its SO like mine. Basically consists of cheese, more cheese, condiments, more condiments … oh and beer. Ha!
Leslie Alexander says
You and Andrew must have HIS and HERS refrigerators because I did not see many eggs or chicken breasts.
Randi says
One thing I don’t see in your fridge are a bunch of random boxes of leftovers from restaurants/ old pizza boxes. Not to husband shame, but I am constantly finding old leftover boxes stashed in random drawers in my fridge and it drives me INSANE. So, on that note, you are winning in my book!

Give yourself grace and call the girls from The Home Edit! They’ll fix that pantry and fridge right up!
